Wow ! In April- May I visited India back after 6 years and this was a wow moment for me bcz India has been transformed like never before in less than half a decade , Their trains specially metros and also ths train are becoming so so advanced and fast.. I also travelled by the Metro which passes through under the water in tunnels in Mumbai ... ofcourse it's impact of their super strong economy and also they're 4th-5th largest economy ..that news changes my mind..Also people are very polite and humble same as the guys in the video

yeah, the older version of Vande Bharat can go up to 160 kmph and the new version can reach 200 kmph but the problem here is not the train but the tracks. The tracks are old and thus need a total replacement and a complete construction of tracks all around India is under progress.

Not only tracks, there need to be fencing on both sides of track. And that's not possible due to many reasons

But Indian tracks at many places can't handle it. They will get renewed...then only Vande Bharat will reach its full speed.
But Indian Railways is on the way to completely revamp itself..
So hopefully in few years, you will see drastic amazing changes.
Infrastructure is lot more improved than what it was 15 years ago.

The seats are meant to be rotated 180 degrees to face the one behind. That way, a family of four can sit facing each other. It is not meant to face the window (hence no legroom there).

Vande Bharat has capacity to reach 220 kmph at full speed, but due to safty restrictions and track upgradation, the speed is limited to 130 kmph.
FYI: India is also building Bullet trains between Mumbai and Ahmedabad where trains would run upto 350 kmph. The work is in progress and hope it'll finish soon.

I think the seats are not designed to turn to enjoy the outside view, they are designed to turn the seats a complete 180 degree rotation so that a group of 4 people can sit face to face, and when you arrange all the tables. At the same time, seats are face to face one another so you will get a bigger table.

Nice tour of the train, good idea to get there nice and early to do some filming and investigation work. All the people are so friendly. Love the Halloween sandwiches - maybe a blood filling? $15 a ticket is a steal, great value for all that you're getting plus the ride. Coolest seats of any train I've seen, love how you can turn them towards the window - shame about the leg room though haha. Love the choice of music for this video!
It's important to try new things! LOL It was nice that the train was leaving from Mumbai and they let us on as soon as we got there. Sandwiches must have been from last Halloween or something... I'm not gonna be satisfied by any future train if I can't rotate the seats. We don't have friends like Eddie, but we try to find fun music. Thanks Matt!!

These are still conventional trains with Semi high speed availability. The first HSR corridor is under construction and set to open in 2026 and Multiple lines planned in phase 2 future is exciting.

12:23 it's humid here because Mumbai is coastal city... as you'd reach to Pune, you have started feeling fresh and dry, little cool weather... Pune is located at 550-650 M above sea level... That's the reason even in summer also you'll not feel to hot... You should explore Pune especially outer/countryside... it was capital of maratha empire before british takeover... alots of forts, mountains, rivers, waterfalls...
We loved Pune.
Next year we'll have brand new sleeper vande Bharat which will be replacement of rajdhani express. In coming few couple years more we'll have bullet train waiting for the revolution

On Pune-Solapur section the track limit is restricted to mostly 130kmph because of the ghat sections and the mountain terrain, but yes you heard it correctly that train can go up to 180kmph but the speed is restricted to 160kmph mostly in other areas.

The train is designed to go at 200+ but the tracks are the same old and being upgraded bas we speak but since Indian railways is just the busiest in the world and always running at overcapacity (since it's the primar mode of intercity transportation of over a billion people), it will take time to upgrade the tracks all over India, till then it'll run at an avg peed of 80-90kmph.

Rotating seats are for families . They can book 4 attached seats. Rotate one 180° and talk-n-travel facing each other for the entire journey. They are not for the window view. 😂

AC coaches in even standard trains are not costly. You may choose based on your budget...3 AC 2 AC First class...2 AC is a decent choice...good balance between comfort and economy.

Indian railways is upgrading tracks so they can run it upto 180km per hour bullet trains are under construction. Sooner u ll get those too and current ones got speed up real soon
As Indian railway is working on newer aurtomated safety system and want to apply it to their all tracks for safety first. Its a good move. Lil bit patience is fine when safety is a priority

Kerala is just average state.. Rajasthan is best
Pune is a Ghat region i.e., it is hilly so the train has to run like on the slope so it is hard to get even 130kmph on such tracks but wherever it supports they try to run it at the max speed. Indian tracks are quite old so the train cannot run at 200kph on such tracks and therefore the government is redevloping the tracks & ensuring that can pull it to the max speed of the train (220kph).

India has ordered above 300 of these trains, govt is trying to change the trains, it will take decades to transform it completely.
But you guys should try Indian metros too, show the world India has metros, many foreigners still think india doesn't have malls, metros🤡

Yeah! Biggest rail network in the world...Indian Railways (just in case someone didn't know)!
So...to change ALL of that MASSIVE infra...is not just about changing the trains...is also about changing the ENTIRE system of the biggest rail network in the world....the tracks, the signal systems, training the rail-men, the IT systems...sooo many things to be upgraded before entire system upgrades to higher speeds!
Yes...new Bullet Train being constructed is totally greenfield project...so that works! But that has its own unique challenges...like acquiring new land...some of which pass through already owned/occupied land...and govt has to convince current owners to let their land go and give an agreed price!!
These stuff are not easy!!
Not ordered but these trains are made in india only and within next year 300-400 trains will be added and government is changing old trains into these vande bharat at pretty fast rate
