Glad this wasn't just me....the eversong -> ghostlands experience was just so amazing. You finally defeat Dar'Khan Drathir and get your blue(!) weapon and genuinely feel like you've made it.
god, you and me both. I get random flashbacks of sounds from TBC. That is when I started to play WOW. I feel the same way that you do, for this and Zangarmarsh
Used to level my belf paladin during the release of woltk. Can't get those days back ever.... Lazy Sunday's levelling at eversong woods... I even picked skinning and leather working as a profession.. old days...😁😁😁😁
Was listening to this the other day while working at night and my teenaged son walks in the room... the kind of teen that always has a smart-assed answer or meme-y thing to say about everything. But he just came in, sat down, and listened for a good solid 20 mins without moving a muscle or saying a word. Finally he got up and asked "what's the name of that instrument?" and I told him a cello... he nodded and walked back to his room. When I came to see him before bedtime he was listening to this while chatting on Discord - honestly he hasn't been so chill since before high school. So for whatever this all means, thank you for putting these tracks out here
Absolute shame how very few visits Silvermoon used to get. That town was abandoned by players from the get go. Very sad considering how beautiful this whole zone is, especially back in 2008..
I did not played initially Blood Elves, but I do have a BE warlock level 120. I was a long way... I think I am playing that lock from Cataclysm or MoP.
My friend and I went to the midnight release to get a copy of TBC - booted it up and watched my friend level his BE rogue for hours. We were in awe of the new zone
I love this zone so much. It's all so beautiful. Also, I'm not sure why but there's something so fascinating about the dead scar. There's an odd juxtaposition of the ethereal majesty of the rest of the zone with this blighted and bone-strewn waste. It always held such a feeling of dread. I wouldn't exactly call it foreboding, since the catastrophe that created it is long past, but rather an unsettling awareness of what happened on that ground. I would spend so long just watching it or walking across the dried, crumbling dirt fighting the undead that remain there.
When I first heard the music of Eversong, I initially thought it sounded beautiful, but with a certain nefarious tinge. I saw the Sin'dorei as inherently bad due to me being so young and just thinking that the Horde were the "bad guys". Now that I'm older, and know much more about the lore of the game, I realize. The tinge I hear in this beautiful music isn't a tinge of evil. It's a lamentation. It's beauty, but sadness. Regret. Longing. A desire for a time when they were known as Quel'dorei. A time before addiction. A time before scars. The Sin'dorei are my favorite race, now.
You complete the otherwise unexpressive emotions, very thoughtful and carefully placed words to define otherwise tragedy and yearning for what's lost. For it is great and it is destructive. Once elite now down to a handful. The tragedy is captured in the serene woods as one wanders the great scar that plague otherwise a tranquil forest.
As a Blood Elf Paladin for 8 years (I literally played NO other race or class) this comment really got me in the feels. I'm 37 years old now and never paid attention to the music the way you expressed it. They are my favorite race and even more so now!
I spent so much time here. The transition into the Ghostlands is so tragic after the beautiful woods. Nothing beats fighting magic crackheads in the city slums!
Different is definitely the proper word. There are some familiar elements, but the gameplay has changed too much in order to be called similar. I still very much love what they are doing with the world design. Salutations Jonathan.
I remember making my first character on my friend's account 10 years ago, a Blood Elf Warlock who I chose because I liked the starting robe since I knew nothing about the game, I ran around in the forest and just enjoyed everything. I did a few quests but then I just explored the whole Eversong Forest and was immersed in every little detail. The trees and the buildings blew me away the most. And the music. The nostalgia hits me hard when I hear this.
We are not getting younger and someday we will go to another world, it’s very sad, in this game I made friends more than once and I want Warcraft to live forever and give emotions from the beginning when you entered the game until the end.
I love the music for this zone it has a sad but elegant vibe which fits the lore of the blood elves there’s not enough words to express how much I love this zone and the music in it
BC was my favorite expansion. They brought forward my fantasy of seeing the land of eternal Autumn and being able to play the Sin'Dorei. I still vacation this spot with my favorite Quel'Dorei to this beyond beautiful land. I really hope for a revamp of the land so we can at least fly xD. Regardless, thank you for the beyond gorgeous work Meisio, stay awesome.
Yes, this place looks gorgeous. It was an easy job for me to pick the angles of the camera. Everywhere you look it is beautiful :) Thank you for your appreciation Jonathan
For Jack and Nefle. _I couldn't stand the guilt of not doing anything with the Blood Elves and I finally did it._ This was suppose to be a Blood Elves Faction movie but I've discovered I was not prepared (pun intended). Ppl still love TBC, WoW in general, lore, and most definite the music! Ty uploader, I’ll sleep well tonite. Shorel ‘ Aran sin’dorei “Farewell, Children of the blood”
This is where my 9 year WoW journey began. Right as Wrath of the Lich king was set to release. I was but an up and coming Blood Elf Paladin eager for adventure and preparing for the journey that would eventually take me to Northrend. I never played through BC but this zone will always hold a special place in my heart. The Nostalgia this brings is bittersweet. It reminds me of some of the greatest moments i had in my gaming life. Making friends who i would eventually meet at Blizzcon and who are now life long friends, but it also reminds me of days passed and now at 37 years old makes me wonder if i will ever have this type of connection for a game ever again.. great video and thanks for the stroll down memory lane.
I still remember seeing Eversong Woods for the first time at Blizzcon 2005. I was blown away by the environment, music and atmosphere of Eversong Woods. It really took WoW in a new direction. Thanks for capturing its essence here.
You know what, I genuinely think Classic will just be the test to begin the re-release of old xpacs, and then it obviously drives down competition from private servers.
I've stated previously and I think you will agree with me: Classic has to succeed in order for the next ones to come. I'm for the holy 3: Vanilla, TBC & WotLK legacy servers.
I would love them to have all three- Vanilla-TBC-WOTLK. Although if private servers are any indication- TBC has some glaring issues that needs to be fixed
I joined late vanilla early BC and i have to say, this was probably my favorite patch and environment. plus those blood elfs were so edgy and cool back than.
When i was a kid i start with a blood elf warrior and i spend 3-4 days in this zone tinking this is the entire game , i was having a lot of fun exploring this zone , after I found out the entire world I was shocked :D 18:05 here i spend 2-3 years with my friends , i love this zone :)
I believe we all have the same feeling of nostalgia regarding WoW! We are all in our 30s and we only have good memories of a time that will never come back! The expansions brought improvements but also a lot of worsening, so all we can do is keep this good time in our memories! I am in love with WoW but I don't know if I would have the same patience today as I did when I was 17!
I know WotLK is considered the apex of WoW. But it is unbelievable how well done the Blood Elves' music and lore and starting zone was. For sentimental reason's Teldrassil and Tirisfal Glades will always be my favorite early zones. Eversong Woods and the Ghostlands are the most richly drawn and well done of them all. This music is part of the reason.
Ive spent my nights (yeah Im weird) playing starting missions just to get inspired by this amazing track, it is stunningly beautiful and nostalgic, my very first paladin came from the Blood elves, I sometimes even stopped doing the quests just sit and relax while listening to the track (if you didnt get it at first, yeah Im weird), the Blood Elves was always my favorite race. 😁
I will never thank you enough for that amazing job that you are producing. I'm listening and also travelling thanks to you litteraly everyday, everyday I listen at least twice the eversong woods music. My favourite wow channel so far, thanks a lot Meisio
I’m super late on this, but I’m so happy to have found your channel and am able to listen to all this wonderful music! This zone especially, makes me want to play the cello! Thank you for your work
I think the main reason blood elves are so popular because their culture captures what so many miss in todays world. Its pride, actual art, courage, exploration, bold architecture and ofcourse them being absolutely hot. Everything we lost basicly.. its all about bringing others down by shaming them and people actually buy into the narrative its really sad to see. I could ofcourse just be completely high on nostalgia, but a man can dream:) have a nice day:)
I feel the same for night-elf culture, now in today's world everything is mass-produced without the "magic" of craftsman ship. And its all about trends that die.
This was my absolute favorite track!, I used to spent hours just sitting in one of the areas talking to friends while I enjoyed this music, better when you play this at night! 😁👍🏻
I always come back to eversong whenever I need to get away from the hustle and bustle of the current patch. It feels good to help others who need it and who are alone in these starting zones.
I have good news for you! Midnight, which is the expansion after The War Within, will include a whole remake of Quel'Thalas (AKA Eversong Woods, Ghostlands, and the Isle of Quel'Danas), as well as implementing seamless technology so you could fly from the Eastern Plaguelands to Quel'Thalas without having to go through that portal lol. And the expansion after that AKA The Last Titan will include a whole remake of Northrend. :D So WoW IS going the FF14 route
TBC was my favorite expansion, but I don't think I would like to play throurgh it again, such a hardcore experience, wouldn't have such time for it. I'm okay with Classic tho.

same but for Elwynn Forest/Durotar/Mulgore

@@RaidsEpicly Hahah, making a blood elf paladin just to get the sword, right after i finished ghostlands on a priest just because it looked cooler :’)
Oh ghostlands...
You perfectly encapsulated my experience. I was playing TBC in 4th grade, quoting things NPCs would say to my teachers and friends LMAO
No words could ever describe how much nostalgia I feel for Eversong Woods & it's soundtrack. Absolutely beautiful.
You are probably a TBC guy. I share the same feelings for the Teldrassil tracks. But Eversong Woods theme is also amazing.
As depressing as it may sound the only place i feel at home and at peace is in evensong woods. Reality can fuck right off.

All the really cool Easter eggs, too. Like the blood elves sapping the Naru.
Yeah sadly there is no flying there, the city is very far off, it was never updated since 2008.... :/ it gets old
