I’m going to have to try the Pentel Energel. I don’t typically like gel pens. The pens I like are the Frixion erasable pens. They write nice and if you mess up, like I do, you can erase it. BTW, you don’t need to worry about Bumbles barking. We can hardly hear it. And a lot of times, I don’t even notice it until you bring it up.
This was so helpful! I'm hooked on the Energel pens. I have arthritic hands and sometimes the mere act of writing can be painful. They are so smooth plus comfortable to hold.
Thank you for this pen test. I would also be interested in the Tul pen. I have been using Pentel Energel for a long time and love it. Also like the Flair being a little thicker. Just getting started in a planner like these. I have a classic Happy Planner and love the versatility . I Love EC new Layers and the Plum Paper ability to Customize. Havin a struggle with what I want for 2021. I appreciate your showing us differences in papers and pen quality. Thank you.
I love the Energel pens! I have Tombows but really don’t use much because I’m not good at lettering! Thanks for comparing the different types of paper. I’ve heard over and over that Inkwell was the best, but your test disproved that. I do like EC and HP.
Papermate Flair was my go-to until I found the Sharpie pen. Not the one you used today. But it doesn’t bleed through or smear. That’s my new go-to now for Happy Planner.
“You’re ruining my video” 🤣🤣🤣 thanks for doing this video, good info to have. I just fell down the EC rabbit hole so I’m glad I can still use my favorite pens.
Thanks for the comparison. Great idea to do this. My fave planner pens are the frixion erasable pens. They come in a variety of colors. They are a bit expensive. A little cheaper at Amazon. I use planner pages that I created and they are printed on regular copy paper.
I’m using Frixion erasable pens. I recently purchased the EC dual tip pens that I just started using.. I thought this PEN test was great 👍 i love both the HP & EC paper.
Hi Bumble❤️Erin Condren is hard to decorate in. Happy planner is the best you can customize it. I have been using the Papermate Flare. Thank you so much. I loved this video.
Thank you so much for doing this test. I was going to do it when I receive my Happy Planner but now I don't have to. I need to check out the Pentel Energel? I think I have all the others. Just a girl in search of her pen peace.
I use a HP and my go-to pens are the first three you tested. I write small, so I use .5's in all my pens and they don't smear. Maybe that makes a difference. 🤷 Thank you for testing ones I haven't used so I know which to avoid. 👍🏾
I currently use the Frixion, but the only thing I like about it is the erasable factor. I need ttp try something new. Btw, I can never hear Bumble barking in your videos
With the papers all being slightly different textures would it be possible to see you place a sticker on each and then remove it? Sorry, sounds crazy, but I used to watch someone who used EC and she always seemed to have a heck of a time removing stickers/washi without damaging the paper, while so far I don't think I have seen you damage the paper or ruin the sticker when you need to move it. Would love to know if this is a paper issue or user error LOL. That is, of course, only if you have a couple of stickers you don't like or won't use to spare for such a random test! This was a reason I decided to order the Happy Planner over EC, the other reason being expandability. Thanks so much! I really am enjoying your content and watching old videos as well! It is getting me excited to get my planner ready for January!
@@PlanningwithBumble Thanks! I don't think I have ever seen a sticker paper challenge, but you could hear the rough texture of EC in your video so it will be interesting to know if that texture helps to hold things on while making it harder to move them!
Pigma Micron !!!! They come in tons of sizes. And you can buy them at Michael's, some sizes singly. It's instant drying. It NEVER smears on my happy planner pages. I can erase pencil marks behind the ink immediately. Obviously, if I colored something in and put down a lot of ink, it would smear, but I feel like that's common sense.
@@PlanningwithBumble I had to test it, because I never noticed that before. I used the "graphic" 1, which is the same size as the papermate flair. I compared the two and you're right, but it's barely noticeable to me.

Bumble is such a blessing! Miss Personality Plus! She really seems interested in what you are doing. The ink test was very interesting.
This video was very helpful....I would like to see how the Tul pens compare....If you have any of those...Thank you for sharing

I like the Pilot G-2 .05. It dries faster than the Pilot .07 and has a finer line. I do still have to wait for it to dry when drawing lines.

Happy Planner is my favorite. I've been eyeing some Inkjoy pens at Tuesday morning so this was good info. Your printing is pretty.
I love my happy planner, but I use the Staedler Fineliners. I need tiny lines, 😂. I wonder what the paper weight is for all of these...

can I ask which sharpie pen you use then? I only know of the kind she illustrated in the video....
Tiffany Martin it looks like it’s just called the Sharpie “Pen”... 🤷🏼♀️ Fine tip or medium tip.
Thanks Becky!
It’s sharpie s gel pen. I love it! Doesn’t smear m!

I'm currently enjoying the TUL pens and the Pilot Hi-Tec C in my Plum Paper Planner. I will use the Ink Joy gel pen from time to time.
Thanks for the comparisons. I’ve wondered about the page color differences since I’ve noticed in EC PWM the white out doesn’t seem to show up as much.

Another paper I love is Ashley Shelly planners! Smoothest, nice white paper!
No fountain pen!? Just giving you a hard time, I don't use my HP anymore but I still love watching you!

I switched to Frixion erasable . I just make too make mistakes lol. I have then in all sizes and colors
Maria Bennett maybe write on post it notes girl at before transferring to planner itself.

Marisa S I can try that

I love the EC paper so much that I bought the notebooks for work note taking 😂

Nicole Proud I have one...I don’t really like it because the black isn’t really black enough

The 100th 👍
