Really hated the Eagles having to face Kellen Moore's offense when he was in Dallas. I'm stoked that he's going to get a chance to adjust the Eagles offense and give Hurts better answers (including less Hurts draws and scrambles).
I don't think Hurts is that guy.
@@terrymiller8597 I think after watching Hurts in the SB he is definitely that guy. The touchdown drive towards the end to make it 35-35 showed exactly who he is.
@@terrymiller8597 Hurts has a good touch on his drop it in the bucket type throws and has the ability to hit guys in stride. If he's willing, I think he can improve his "game manager" west coast offense skill set.
Sirianni decided to "run it back" (pun intended) last year with far too many qb draws and a stale rpo scheme.
Hopefully, Kellen Moore will be given the authority to start shaping Hurts into more of a traditional NFL Qb.
Not saying they won't have rpos, but bring more balance to the attack.
@@terrymiller8597you're one person 👍🏾
We’ll see. If he has more pre-snap motion and designed bootlegs, play action plays, and a lot more plays under center then Hurts will probably do much, much better.
I think Kellen is gonna go off this coming season. Back in the NFC East with a high powered offense, a blank check and total freedom. He was the only OC in Dallas to get a #1 seed in 30 years. I like this hire. Id rather have Shane back, but he earned his job in Indy
Completely agree. The Cowboys offense was so hard to contain, even with Gannon + Fangio at the time. Team lacked creativity this season
Cowboys offense improved this year, though his time was generally successful in Dallas, I'd keep expectations realistic with Moore.
@@justinmj6586 The Cowboys had a better roster this year
@@justinmj6586weird, they definitely had more points per game in 2021. Dak threw for more TDs, despite playing one less game. Also, had more passing yards per game…so, not sure where you got that at.
Oh, Dallas also led the league in points and was third in yards that year. Talking out your ass man.
@@Phogadacbietno he’s not Dak had the best year of his career without Kellen Moore that’s a fact. Also how did the Chargers offense do with Kellen Moore this year? He’s not good you Eagles fans are trying to justify this move, but ultimately you’ll end up being disappointed.
@@JDGarza824daks 2023 stats are almost identical to his 2021 stats. Also the chargers offense was ranked 17 with both wr's, their rb, and their qb missing games.
I like the Kellen Moore hire, can't wait to see the upcoming season
Chris, always great perspective! My biggest concern is utilizing our strength, which is O-Line. We need to maximize the rungame (even without Kelce).
I love how dude loves Philly when he was 90% a ram most of his career
He had one of his best yrs in philly. He was embraced by this city and once you feel the love. No going back!
Dude won a Super Bowl with us wtf
@@BigTylt and he did w the patriots wtf
You diiig!!!! 🙌🏾💯💚🦅
Shows how good his time in Philly was
I think VIC is a good move and kellen moore is essential you cant get worse then they where last year
look at eagles vs raiders 2021…first drive is jalen under center …they go right down the field
Jalen thankfully seems like he's loving this offense. Every time I see him on the field, whether it's practice or whatever else, he's smiling and laughing. He's even been talking a lot more than he was. I think Moore unlocked him.
A lot of untold truth within our coaching org. Love this take!
One of the shortest term but most loved eagles of all times
They were 8th in shotgun snaps in LA bc Herbert had a broken finger and couldn’t go under center after week 4 when he fractured it against the Raiders. Everything was from the gun. We also lost our all pro center Linsley and Kellens protection plans were garbage. The o line def regressed, who knows if that all on Kellen or losing Linsley but there was always free rushers coming.
Great insight. I think KM tried to run in SD;Maybe too much even though the O-Line play was terrible, he still never gave up on it
Thanks for the insight, I am pretty excited about the coordinator hires. Fangio's experience should really help take some of the workload off Siriani and the creativity Kellen Moore brings on offense should allow for a more dynamic offense. I would like to see less leaning on the RPO/QB draw games we saw so much of this past year.
There are too many moving parts that can go wrong:
QB- has to make the correct read whether to hand-off or not, then whether to run himself or pass
RB- could mishandle the hand-off considering he doesn't know if he's getting it or not, then block or run a route on top of that
OL- don't know whether QB has handed it off or not, can't be 100% whether to pass or run block
WR/TE- can't be 100% on whether to run their route or block for a possible run that bounces outside
Obviously in certain situations ok, but as a base to the offense it just doesn't seem to be there IMO.
All theoretical BS during the offseason. Fangio's long cooked and Moore is really nothing special as a play caller.
Luckily you play in an awful division, but start figuring out now if you guys are serious about Belichick next offseason.
Chris Long is awesome!
If they can work a little motion and snaps under center, the shotgun with no motion will Ultimately work better because the play calling will be more diverse and keep defenses honest
I'm so ready to see Smitty FINALLY catch the ball in space
I watched Kelce at the Buffalo game in the playoffs this year when he jumped out of the Super Box shirtless. When he jumped back into the box it looked like he was standing on a spring loaded platform to get over the wall. 300 pounds and the hops of a Kangaroo… my mouth opened in awe.
The problem is this year we had a very ineffective short game. It was awful.
you look like you had a few vitamins before the pod😂 sending love from grand rapids, Go Birds!🦅 Great move all around!
I’m a charger fan. I can tell you it won’t work. I ignored what all cowboys fans said because they are cowboys fans. But they were right . He lacks attention to detail. He doesn’t understand his personnel. His route concepts are too deep . I think it’s literally the worst fit in the nfl for him to be with Jalen hurts. I think Kellen Moore isn’t a nfl OC. I genuinely think this is the beginning of the end for the siriani era. Possibly the beginning of the BILL b era tho.
Sirianni didn't hire him so it will be on Howie.
The Chargers started the eyar off pretty good Offensively. They unfortunately started loosing a ton of key players and with a poor head coach and only his 1st year with LA, Kellen just didn't get the full ability to showcase himself. After the 1st 4/5 games He spent more of the year strapped with two hands behind his back bandaiding up the offense best he could. Make no mistake, Kellen's offense is complex. However, once his weapons get comfortable in it like Lamb, Cooper, Pollard, Elliott did in Dallas; the offensive philosopy is extremly difficult to stop. Kellen's offense is strongly based off a QB whom can make good decisions and a coordinated effort based off timing and execution. That is what Made Kellen such a great college QB at BSU, his study of the game and timing. As a coaches son and geek in weekly film room and playbook, he developed outstanding scheming play, reading of defenses, and timing routes. He didn't have the biggest arm, but he destroyed defenses because he knew how to scheme, read, and time his throws to his receivers. When Dak Prescott was on, he was on and the Cowboys would lay 50 burgers. However, when he was off, he was really bad. In LA, Kellen was only there for 1 year man. He didn't even have time to finish the year with his full squad health, let alone a head coach that was worth 2 pennies. If Philidelphia can hold consistent with coaching and discipline ....I think Kellen will help the Eagles cook!
Kellen will do well in Philly. Chargers didn’t have a running back they could lean on and the offensive line is not as good as Phillys line.
I’m from Idaho. Been following Moore since he was a redshirt freshman. Kellen doesn’t like to rely on backs. He wants to rely on an O line that can adapt to the D line. If the line is strong and competent, your grandmother could get 6 yards every play. Expect some fireworks this year. But watch how big the holes are on the replays.
@@thepolicyguy maaaaan, I hope you're right!!!!!!!
Jalen has to improve. He has to be able to operate under center
Thanks again 👍 🏈
Thanks Taylor
we just need swift to come back and run the ball and NOT run a million wr screens
Gainwell had good hands with screens the prior year when used in that capacity. Last year they didn't screen to either one of the rbs'.
Alls I know is Kellen Moore can’t do much worse than the plays we were calling outta the Mt.Union University playbook last year smh
Kellen Moore was super duper pass happy more often than not in Dallas, right? He’d have to show some serious improvement if he plans on excelling in Philly and improving Hurts… thoughts?
I am pretty sure there are stats to prove Moore absolutely ditched running the ball game to game in Dallas & LA and had no flow more often than not… we’ll see
@@jaypagan1899 He'll adapt his scheme according to the personel he has. Some years he's 50% run 50% pass, other he's 40% run 60% pass
He’d better use the run game and he better have good run schemes or else
I hope so! I have high hopes for Hurts & Philly. I’m not high on Moore though… just another OC/Wannabe dude who gets pumped up as the next big hope and it’s blah.
Never saw Dak do 3 QB draws in a row. If Kellen can figure out “AJ Brown slant” then we can run it 5 times a game in stead of zero. Devonta Smith is under utilized. If we can go from 32nd screen game… the absolute worst to middle of the pack this team will be a top 5 offense.
thanks dude. you want to come back to philly? ill call nic in a heart beat. hahaha
Ground and pound
It can't get no worse with him, last OC was screen and deep ball with no motions and definitely predictable offense
Some common sense will go a long way in this team. No throwing deep on 3rd n short 2 drives in a row then pass again on 4th please
Horrifying to think Fangio had imprints on last years team 😬
New sub #EAGLES
I really hope they start using more motion, run the ball, run passing and run plays from UNDER CENTER. I’m so sick of seeing this team line up in shotgun exclusively, so dumb
We're gonna see a ton more motion that's a promise... Look at his offenses...
@@ryancampbell1847 I have a strong hunch Jalen does not like motion. I think it will just confuse him. Add in putting him under center and that's 2 new things he will have to learn. Eagles ran a very basic offense for a reason.
Just don't get pounded like #2 from the niners on swift
His run scheme sucks. He runs up the midddle. No outside zone runs.
Kellen Moore a coach hire..
Coordinator who’s had a top 5 offense in different teams. Asking for anymore then you’re looking for a head coach.
What are you going to do when Kelce retires and you lose your best play - the tush push.
Just tank and get in line for a shot at Belichick in 2025, Moore aint changing anything.
They went 10-1 with Brian Johnson who had 0 scheme and ran 4 verticals, WR screens and QB designed runs on 3rd and long. Dead last in motions and dead last against the blitz. Cam Jurgens can easily fill in for Kelce. They also played KC, Dallas twice, Miami, Buffalo and SF and lost just 2 of those games. Not sure if Kellen Moore is Shane Steichen level, but I'm sure 99% of OC's are better than what they just went through. SF started blitzing them and they never had a single hot route design installed. Offensive gameplan might've been the worst in the NFL. Defense is another story, but the offense will change Kellen Moore isn't brain dead
Ice cold take
Hahaha this is the most hater comment I've seen in a while... And this is a salty Dallas fan and we all know it
@@codyjackson245 Kellen Moore isn't brain dead but a lot falls on Hurts too. When a qb holds the ball too long, runs around like a chicken with his head cut off it's a bad sign.
the entire Eagles team needs to reach down and check their balls. They went from beating teams into the turf to getting beat on. As an Eagle fan since the mid 70's, I found that disturbing. We had nothing defensively in the middle of the field . We need playmakers with an ugly streak. I wanna see us making plays and standing over WRs, TEs and RBs after their annihilation . We had NONE of that this season.
Ready for a reload, they have enough talent, enough picks and enough cash to right the ship. Let's GOOOOOOOOOO
Yerrrrrrrrr
Taylor Swift? Felt forced
Have we actually seen moore do anything special besides be talked up
Had a top 5 offense for a few different seasons on different teams. That as much success as you need to be a coordinator. Next level is head coach.
@SPACEKNOCKERZ76 his teams never perform when they need too
@@leelovitt1828brother he had dak prescott. not his fault dak doesn’t step up .
@SPACEKNOCKERZ76 those offenses were successful before he arrived nice try though
Good luck lol
Lmao such a lie no one on a tarmac asks about fangio
Hurts was a one yr wonder and Moore will have the same problem he had with Dak great during the season but both suck in playoffs
He is going to make Hurts throw 65 passes a game……. This is not a good hire for what the Eagles offense is…. I hope I’m wrong but Kellen Moore is not a good fit for what this team has.
I'm just happy we might have pre snap motion 😅
Love the take you displayed 🫱🏾🫲🏻💚🦅
