Well I ported my first 2 saws. A 4218 strato that started with a 14 second cut stock. I got it down to 9 seconds with mods not including porting. Went from 9 to 7 with porting just widening and raising the exhaust, lowering the intake. The second one was a 4620 poulan that I had already optimized everything outside the motor and did a 6 second cut. With porting it went down to 5 seconds. I blew right through my intended number on the 46. Trying to port with a 1/4" air die grinder . Went from a 108.5 exhaust roof to 97.5. Fully expected it to fall on its face. Amazingly it didn't.
Great versus video. Those are my favorite. This was an interesting ported versus modded upper cc battle. I could see you may get some backlash for the end of your video but it's true, just because you love your old saw Betsy doesn't make it faster in a one-on-one.
Those two saws harmonized together very well!
Todd from Project Farm voice: very impressive performance from the 357xp!

👍🏻 just because I like my little old Poulan 2000, would it hold a candle to an ms250? Hail no! Would it even beat a stock ms170🤔😅

I would do the VS the 372 that’s one a lot of people would understand or relate with
I was impressed by the 357. Once it is broken in it might beat the 565
👍👍

Good stuff👍🏻
Did you ever compare the 359 ported to your 357 ported?
Actually didn’t do too bad. Figured the 565 would just runaway with it. The ole 357 held its own.
I can't help myself... I'm going back in! Same stuff I did to the Makita, this 357 is gonna get it!
I figured the same thing. With the muffler mod, I'm pretty sure the 565 will beat a 572xp.
@@novicelumberjack Excited to see what you can get out of it.
Dont beat too hard on mac. A mac 850 and Husqvarna 281 are equal speed and power
If you're taking about the mcbricks or cinderblock macs then yeah.
