I got one used last week with the shifter for 250 and I am so happy with it . Getting a simple stand will use mostly with VR with GT

I’d recommend skipping the g923 and getting the slightly older g920/g29 instead because it is substantially cheaper and all you loose is the “true force” vibration motor

Very True! Luckily we were able to get the G923 for a sale price even cheaper than the G920/G29! So if you can find a good deal, I totally recommend it!
