This was the season I replayed every game one summer. I was 15 years old, living way out in the country and a summer to blow. I played this with Statis Pro and wore out two sets of FAC's during the replay. I was so fixated on this game that I literally played from wakeup to sleep.
@@bigrevkev55 Yes I started around Memorial Day and played around 20 games a day. I didn't have a job at 15 and my mom was working 12 hours a day. I would get up at 4 am, milk the cows and do my chores. Then play baseball all day until 4 pm and milk again. Then play until 9 or 10.
@@bigrevkev55 It was, I just wore that game out. I had almost all the charts remembered and kept all the stat sheets. I don't think I ever did a compilation from my replay after that summer. I found out about girls and then no more Statis Pro.
Checking out the rosters on baseball-reference and those Angels have more "non-Angels" than I've ever seen on one team. What I mean by "non-" is: 1. Players I associate with other teams instead of the Angels (Lynn, Burleson, Carew, Grich, DeCinces, Boone) 2. Players I forgot played for the Angels (Reggie) 3. Players I never knew played for the Angels (the starting 4 pitchers - Tommy John, Ken Forsch, Geoff Zahn, Bruce Kison, and Tim Foli)
Would you believe I used to go see Twisted Sister when they were a cover band in the mid-70's? By the time they made it big I couldn't stand them though.
1983 Yaz's last year in baseball 🙂
This was my first Strat season
Dave Kingman played on 4 teams in 1977.
