So, as a fan, all I can go off of is that these guys were hurt all year, and Jacob Jordan #88 was a better reciever this year than the guys in the portal.
This year's portal is going to be a lot different than last years. Nick Saban leaving sent a cascade of quality prospects becoming available. This years portal is going to be more of your yearly "players who couldnt make the 2 deep" type of portal. Just my opinion

Where does everyone think portal players are coming from? Good players at good schools that performed well aren’t in the portal for the most part. Do you think we just walk in to Georgia or Ohio State and like take our pick of their best players and they just come because we want them to? That’s not how it works. You get the best players from small time schools who are looking to capitalize on productive seasons. Hopefully they continue to be productive when they step up into blue blood territory.
