I've been recording high quality nature sounds for over 27 years for my own personal use. When I first started, nature recordings didn't exist and when these type of recordings finally hit the market, they were so overly compressed & attenuated it didn't even remotely sound natural!
All of my recordings are captured in nature as it happens. None of my recordings have been "Computer Generated" or are short segments looped together. I have traveled to some of the most remote areas of the world to capture my nature sounds, only to find jets flying overhead or a train off in the distance blowing a horn. It is virtually impossible to capture a clean recording without the "Hand of Man" being heard. To remove these sounds would take some serious computer manipulation and destroy the integrally of the recording! Being a purest... what you hear is what you get... just like the real world.

i don't know why this particular vid works, but if i am really stressed out all i need to do is listen to this and within a few minutes i am calmer and within 20 mins or so i am like totally zen LOL but i'm not joking it really works better than a valium.
my brother hates wind chimes but they sound so cool! Wake up at about 6AM go out on your back porch facing the east perfectly placed next to a wind chime. And that is why I love life.
i listen to this before i go to bed if i'm feeling anxious or upset. i'm always amazed at how much simple, nature-caused sounds can calm someone. i wake up in the morning and feel brand new. thank you for this!

Me and my fiancé were sitting in a hot tub that came with an Airbnb we rented and I kept hearing subtle noises then it got louder and we come to find wind chimes just like these on the other side of the deck. Majestic these wind chimes. I'm a musician and it's amazing how the chimes play basically by themselves. It's almost like wind God is playing them.
you get it. I love a good wind chime like this. the cheap ones just sound like noise makers. something like this sounds like a song. it's beautiful to stop and listen to.

I love this. Listening to this makes me think. It gives me interesting thought processes and daydreams.
If you have trouble in the states finding places that are quiet, you should try coming north to Canada. However cold it is during the winters, the snow somehow makes everything feel so much more quiet.

I love the tone of these chimes. I just purchased wind chimes today that have a slightly higher tone, but sound so lovely and peaceful. They are harmonizing sweetly along with yours right now. :) I wonder why this tone resonates so strongly with me.

Imagine, if anyone just would listen to this, there is no way someone would get the idea of starting wars.
I wish this had 8hr of windchime to sleep by...maybe with other night sounds...a passing train whistle...owl hoots, but not a bunch of sounds...just 3 or 4..to sleep by.

The sound is used by singing bowls and wind chimes ..of different key notes .. but i can tell this is done with singing bowls i use singing bowls myself :D
somewhat rare for a wind chime to produce such a low key... i'm thinking this is the sound of singingbowls instead? anywayz, still a lovely vid!

Even under a video of wind chimes one can find sterile arguments between people with the slightest probabilities of meeting, let alone knowing each other. UA-cam is such an incredible laboratory.

How did you get the chimes to ring in such a slow progression? When I listened to the website which sells these chimes they always play the chimes much faster.www.inthewindflags.net/majestychimes.htm. Are these the ones you own? I want to buy the same chimes you have on this video. How did you decide on that one? I was looking at chimes in the store and they sound very similar until I started to really listen and read about the different scales and tuning online. Can you talk about the differences in wind chimes. I am interested to learn more now.
+Baby Bear - Yes, I own the 50" Green, Gentle Spirit wind chimes that's listed on the site you provided. The first time I heard these chimes I just knew I had to own one! They were the only chimes I have ever heard tuned and I just picked the one that sounded the most pleasing... not to tinny or too resonated.
With that being said... the 50" chimes are huge! These chimes are very well made and very heavy. The total length from where you hang it to the bottom of the wind catcher is 45" and weights close to 15lbs.
When I recorded these chimes the wind was only a slight breeze (maybe 2 or 3 mph) so it doesn't take much to get these chimes singing. In a moderate breeze all your neighbors (within a 5 block radius) are going to know you own the biggest, baddest chimes in the hood...LOL:) It's like having church bells right in your backyard... they really get loud! In fact, I've taken off the wind catcher for just this reason.
As for the different scales, I didn't really think about it. I just pick the one that sounded the most pleasing to my ears. Size, weight and price will probably have a bigger factor when it comes to your final decision!

Thanks so much for your reply. I am looking forward to drowning out the sounds of the many many kids who play and scream next door daily. Plus as I am re-landscaping with succulents and drought tolerant plants,the chimes along my patio provide an element of beauty which also gives privacy and fills the space above the plants. I was thinking of hanging several chimes or other long artistic metal objects to create a screen like illusion. I hung one yesterday that is 39 inches so I can imagine how big and heavy the 50 in. must be. My concern is longevity in that many chimes outside get rusty over time and the wood on top falls apart due to sun and wind exposure. Do you do anything to protect your chimes as far as treatment of the wood or metal? I am glad you mentioned that the wind catcher can be removed so I will keep that in mind if I get migraines,lol. During the santa ana winds that we get here in southern california the wind is crazy so may have to take them down but otherwise thx so much for your youtube video because it finally helped me decide what to buy for my home.
