Statistically, they are very similar with very close numbers in spin, power, twist weight, swing weight and pop, with the main difference being shape and handle differences. The Standard has a larger paddle face with a shorter handle, whereas the Mach 2 Forza has a shorter and slightly wider paddle face with a longer handle, So, I think it really comes down to if you use a two-handed backhand or not.
Unfortunately, I have not had a chance to play with the Joola paddles…but from a specs point of view, they seem very similar. However, the ProXR had the advantages of being cheaper with better spin and a better warranty...so, unless you just really like Joola, I would lean towards the ProXR.
I have also had trouble finding this information as there is nothing on their website suggesting that it is thermoformed like you mentioned. But John Kews paddle database does have it listed as thermoformed What I can tell you for sure is that it has the power that you'd expect from a thermoformed paddle, but it feels a little softer than most thermoformed paddles.
How does this thing stand up to the volaire Mach 2 forza?

Hey scooter love the review was wondering if you ever tried the joola scorpeus Anna bright paddle and maybe can compare it to the proxr standard 14 mm

I can't find anything on thier website stating this paddle is thermo. Do you know if it is?
