My Dad bought a '69 Monaco 2dr hardtop for me to drive when I was in high school ('79). It only had 42,000 miles on it, had the radial tires and was loaded with all the options. Even had the "Superlight" which was basically a spotlight that took the place of one of the highbeams. Great car, would go down a gravel road at 100mph and just float.

...cracked manifold or they need to be machined...happens with the 383 and 440... first car was a Monaco Brougham with a 383 small block...bullet proof. I remember the exact sound all that heavy gauge steel made when I closed the hood...
