This had a lot of helpful tips! If you're looking for feedback, please consider slowing down a bit during the ship construction and talk through the build a bit. It's one thing to watch a build guide but quite another to see the principles in practice in the real game.
We need more!! Already in this first episode learned a trick or two, so curious for more! Top content, only thing, but that might just be me, the speedup chipmunk sounds are a tad much for me. Other than that, wonderful video!!
@@thatonekmc - depending on your video editing software, it may be possible to automatically fix the chipmunk sound. I know DaVinci Resolve has an option when speeding up video to fix the frequency shift in the audio. Don't know what you use, but it might have something similair.
Great video, time-lapses were a little fast, but at least you didn't just skip the content. I watched another YT'er that skipped the building, combat, designing and even the painting... It was like watching a very old Blue Peter show with "Here's what I did earlier" hope you get the reference...
Thank you for sharing your skill and experience. You're very organized and knowledgeable, and that makes your videos particularly satisfying. I hope you put out more content for this game.
Tbh i would watch this, please keep going. Maybe tone it down on the fast-forward,maybe an hour long recording would be better, dunno but i find the FF helluva funny.
thanks for this video, please keep em coming. i like how youre explaining a lot of the thoughts that experienced players barely think about anymore but to someone like me its crucial to know in the first place
9:00 Yeah, if they were to update that, they might aswell remove the event as a whole. Although, it resetting because you went too far away is just the game "holding your hand" a little bit as to try and not let you fail this quest. If anything needs "fixing", it's just that the station should have been completely destroyed by now, and the vast amount of the resources carried away by the pirates, or despawned, as loose items tend to despawn after a while to save performance.
I would be pleasantly surprised to see Pirate AI like this designed into the game. Typically, devs only design combat AI... which is the same for all factions. This means Pirates should also have cargo ships in their fleets, which they don't.
Im having trouble transitioning from an early single ship to adding a collection barge. By the time I've got enough cash and fame to support even a minimal utility barge, the difficulty 3 pirate ships are comboing my main fighter with disruptors and missiles. blowing my salvage income on armor and point defense isn't really overcoming the gap either. Can you showcase some good designs for, say, ~120k price range fighters? Or an early salvage barge that can be set up before the level 1 pirate missions run out?
This video is amazing! In The future it would be better that when you speed up the footage you delete your speed up voice because it’s very loud and very high pitched. I would love to see a full series of these walkthrough videos!
6:36 When ships build-in Disruptors like this, I have noticed that aiming at a small block behind the Disruptor, more quickly destroys it, e.g. The 2x1 armor between the Disruptor and Laser Blaster.
It would be even more enjoyable if he got into using the "proper" targeting system, rather than having the default that's based on the grid. Switch to the one that's based on the enemy ship. It's better.
Looks like a good series. I'd like it better if you didn't fast forward though all the early game stuff. It's pretty much a guide. As you get further in the series, more fast forwards are OK since you can assume the viewers understand more
@@thatonekmc i can only say, what i want to see. but your viewer might not like it. i am fine with cut. but befor the cut, tell what you are doing and why. i want to see a tutorial kind of walkthrough. usually walkthouths are without talking, i know. i would like to see pro gameplay, which i could theoreticly play myself. that in mind i think it was a good desicion to play with regular settings. but i don't like the fact you started with an coustom build ship. in general: youtube is full of youtuber "first look gameplay" of this game and experienced player showing there 10mio credits ship with 20 mods in the game. i am looking for a vanilla gameplay from a player who knows everything about the game and explains all desicions. in this video there was often fast forward and i did not even know what you were doing in this speed up gameplay.
speeding up is fine, but dont include the voice audio. Either mute it or reintegrate it clean. In fact if you speed up just to skip parts with nothing special in them (like traveling across the whole map with 10m/s) you could make a hard cut and jump right into the next section

Thanks, I'll make sure to do that in the next video.

Yeah I was worried about that, I think I'll replace it with music, maybe fast paced music.

id like to see more
Love this! My favorite Cosmoteer channel by far. Keep it coming!
i´d love to see more, if possible try to slow down a bit when building the ship
yes, more please

Please more of these kinda videos! They help alot and are nice to watch.
More please, this is great content.
You should turn this into a full let's play. This would be a far better watch than some of the usual let's play creators doing this game right now.
That's what I plan to do, at least a video a week.
These are some amazing tips, thank you.
Please keep up the good work 😁

just found you and instantly subscribed
I m new in the game, i enjoy your guides ... Their great ! Pls more of that, so i cant improve my ship and skills

Where can I get your ships designs?

Thanks for letting me know, I'm going to make it a series.

You’re very efficient in your designs, far more enjoyable watching you play

Switch to the one that's based on the enemy ship. It's better.
Great video, very informative!
Is there a way to share ship designs in this game? If so, any chance you could share your starter ship?

Also has my tools,
please continue that walkthrough until lvl 176-18

Great video!
a Link with your ship designs would be really nice.

The starter ships are in here, I may make a full folder with all of my ships later.
@@thatonekmc Many Thanks dude, your design is a great basis to go of off.
informative video but I couldn't hold back tears everytime I heard your. voice crack
Make more videos 😁
nice
thanks
I wish i was able to play i have a potato pc 😭
I was searching for something like that.
Edit: it is a Little to much fast forward
Thanks for the input, do you think I should make the videos longer or use more cuts?

I hard disagree. Chipmunk voice is hilarious and I love it dearly!
