another litle fact, population 68 million, we are nation of drinkers, with the great pub culture, that does not exist anywhere else in the world, people have tried, because the pub is a community, not to get drunk, couple beers after work, relax,family days, go for sunday roast with the family, local pubs, this brings me on to next fact about our small island, we drink more cider, than any other nation in the world, also i mentioned before about public drinking, you can drink on the trains, if your getting your train from england to scotland, crack one open its fine
we have many cocktail, the most famous one, if you can call it a cocktail is pimms, normally drunk in the summer, it come with fruit a mint leaf lots of ice and pimms is gin based drink, check it out
as your talking cocktails family, will give you some uk facts around alcohol in the Uk nad legal drinking ages will might shock you, as i think its 21 in most parts of the US. The legal drinking age in the UK is 18, go to pubs clubs, buy alcohol from stores, you can drink in public, go for picnic in the park, bottle of wine few cans, you can drink in the pubs or resturants, form 16 and 17, as long as your with an adult, and your having a meal, this is only wines beers and ciders, no spirits In private home, or another person private place, you can legaly drink from 5 years old

You can drink in public? In Scotland they confiscate your booze and if you're drunk can fine or charge you. It's illegal.
