He makes a great point about the ridiculous court dates. If someone was arrested for stealing a car & the cops gave them a ticket that said there was a court date at the end of the decade no one would actually show up. They'd be out committing more crimes as there is no punishment or consequences for their actions.

Many californians have large houses with one or two extra bedrooms. Many have livable shavks in backyards and very good quality garages. Some clean young migrants that have good teeth can stay at their sponsors bedroom, shack, or garage, and do house cleaning and maintenance work for food and warm bed while they are studying English.
