Lovely example of a mid 90s Cannondale.
I had an F1000 back in the day, with Magura HS11 hydraulic rim brakes.
I still have a set of those on my cross bike - going strong after neatly 25 years.

Definitely my favorite rebuild ive seen so far, the purple components really pull it all together! Just picked up a caad 3 f700 in viper red, and im looking forward to building it 👹

@@MozOnBikes I'm rebuilding 2005 f400 this winter. The shock is getting sent in for rebuild.

Yeah I need to rebuild my shock this winter. A summer of use and the elastomer has really started to give up and sag excessively!

Was hoping to see a rebuild of the fork. Did you get it working better?

I had a poke around with the headshock without totally disassembling it off camera to apply some grease to roller bearings to get rid of the light notchy-ness I had felt initially.
Looking inside you could see a partially melted elastomer, but in the winter it still had a little bounce left in it. But I’ve used the bike quite a lot this summer and I can only assume that now the elastomer has totally collapsed and needed replacing. It’s a job for this winter that I’m particularly dreading as it looks a right pain to do.

Nice. BadBoyish 29" wheels would be a nice upgrade. The Peperonni fork would need some grinding of the extended steerer for tire clearance but make it more versatile if you are into that.

Beautiful bike! What size is this and how tall are you? I'm looking to buy a 1995 Cannondale F too.

Thank you! It’s a large, and I’m 188cm but the stem is super long!

What about the fork rebuild? Did you manage to replace the elastomer?

Not attempted it yet, it’s quite the tricky operation without the official Cannondale tools. It desperately need doing as during the summer it pretty much sagged to zero!

Supposedly it’s easier than many people say. Especially the elastomer version

Hey my man✌️where do you get this original parts from???, I have the same bike, even the color and everything just like yours, and I want to change my brakes, and the front switcher, but the main thing is the parts have to be original, I live in Ukraine and I got the problems to find them out.

Well there are very few original parts left on the bike and it’s 27 years old so original components probably haven’t been made for over 20 years! You need to find modern components that are compatible with the old components or look on eBay for second hand originals
