Really enjoyed this video too. Great info. We've always stayed in West Springfield. Works better for us coming up from central PA. Favorite part: "We're talking, next thing I know he's sleeping, I'm in the middle of a sentence, dude's over there sleeping, I'm that boring he fell right asleep mid-sentence." Thank you for that story ... we laughed and laughed ... still laughing about it. Great job with these Brimfield videos.
Hotel U-haul for the wife and I, loud when it rains though, especially if your parked under a tree and there are big drops coming off from the branches....
Last year was my first year selling at brimfield, I’ve been shopping at brimfield since I was 5 with my parents, always selling at local fleas in RI/MA area, I had secured a roadside spot at Hertans on Sunday before Brimfield due to an old timer retiring, had no tent rental set up in place, completely winged it with two pop ups it was a learning experience, rent the tent, save time and energy!
Thats a good spot. Are you setting up there again? I didn't set up a tent at Dealers Choice but figured it was cheap enough that I wouldn't set up with bad weather. Definitely need a tent when doing the whole week at Hertans
There's that ONE freaking traffic light on 20 & Holland Rd. You're finally moving and Wham! At a rural crossroad no less. Takes forever to get through. Rest of the lights through Sturbridge aren't as bad.
Yeah, the backups are mostly just the people trying to pull out and onto parking lots and fields in town, with people crossing and cars trying to turn left against traffic. Its crazy how bad it can get. I am sure the locals hate it.
Yes. Works as a dealer for sure. As long as you have the space in your van. I slept up front the one time because I couldn't unload my stuff yet. I've never tried it again.
We used to sleep in our tent. We rented a 20' x 20" for the week. Always paid for electricity and at night we'd have all the chandeliers wired and lit up. Pretty magical! Air mattress definitely!! Be sure to have LOTS of blankets, or keeping packing blankets close by and maybe some fishermen friend packets. Or any other thermal clothing. If you have electricity, you can get low wattage heaters. From experience it can get VERY cold at night. One year at NE Motel some kids built a small hut out of pallets and lined it with every packing blanket they could find just to keep warm. ..And a container to pee in. That walk the bathroom in the middle of the night is LONG!!!....Upsides - it can be fun! You make friends, go to dinner, have little late night get togethers for drinks. It's a little private city once the customers leave.
Thanks for all of the information Matt, I really hope one day I can attend this massive flea market, but considering it is like a 16 hour drive for me it probably won’t be anytime soon. But I still enjoy watching and really enjoyed your hotel story.😂 looking forward to your next video!
Yeah, the one Nashville show promoter runs the Springfield Ohio shows. The extravs are pretty big. And Scotts in Atlanta is supposed to be big,, I've never been
Great tips for those traveling to Brimfield, but Ithink you're selling the campgrounds short. I have a camping trailer and just booked 3 nights 5 min away at around $40/night. Heat, AC, kitchen, bath and comfy bed..
Thanks for the tips! I was just referencing those camping with an actual tent. Trailer is a whole different game. Same with an RV. I didn't cover either but they are a good option.

haha, thanks so much. I appreciate that. Dude may never talk to me again but it was worth it. We had some funny times in Brimfield.

Thats like the taj mahal of sleeping in a vehicle

Are you a sports card person?
Oh my God your John hotel story was hilarious! 🤣 Great tips Matt!
Thanks you so much. He hasn't watched yet so I might be down a friend later.

Very helpful video. Makes it seem less scary as a first timer. I think I would do the air mattress in the vehicle. laughed out loud at the bear joke.

That sounds like a nice setup. Not all the fields have electric hookups though.
Will most likely be very cold at night in the spring.

It could really be worth it. Are you close to Texas and roundtop? That might be another one worth going to.
@@antiquingwithmattgreig1370 I’m sure it would and one day I’d definitely like to go, and no unfortunately Texas is a bit far too. I’m in Tennessee.

@@antiquingwithmattgreig1370 I’ll have to check them out, thanks for the information Matt.
I have tried lots of options. Usually stay in the van later in the week. Tried an AB&B in May. Back to two days of a motel in September.
Do you have a favorite town or just whats the best price?
@@antiquingwithmattgreig1370 I tried Chicopee last time. Good steak anyway.

I hit the snooze alot LOL
Haha. I've never really done that but I've known others who were big on it
I prefer Chickopee MA, seems the drive into and out of Brimfield is less crowded.
I've heard a few say that. Of course if you drive into town early enough there is less traffic. haha
I’m not a seller just a buyer , where is the best place to stay near? tia
For ease and convenience I'd look in Sturbridge first, will be the most expensive though
Omg John CHASKI 😂
shhhhh, don't tell him I am using a story about him to be youtube famous
i do be snorin
Auction Man say skip shows, shows no good, buy from auction where dealers buy.
It’s not worth it…at least to me…
Brimfield likes to test people between the crowds and weather
@@antiquingwithmattgreig1370 last time I was at Brimfield…was 1986..
