Just a hearsay collected from Dharwad: it's said that when the head Abbott of a Shaivite Mutth(ullavi?) Heard Anna singing this for the first time, he simply took a flower Garland off the lingam and put it around Mansurji's neck!🥺♥😢😢
I have also heard this story from one of Mansur ji's daughters... then again, his commitment to doing sewa at the Muths was matchless... he gave up several important concerts in Mumbai and Delhi if they happened to clash with his sewa schedule at the various Muths! 🙂
Indeed! It's a stunning recording. As we all know, Mansur ji's renditions were always elevating but even more so when he sang compositions in praise of Lord Shiva! 🙂
