We need meat to prevent pancreatic cancer. If our pancreas doesn't get enough protein, it wont be strong enough to keep diseases away. But, of course you dont have to kill them, just the farmers. I've always dreamt of having a pet hen.

My chicken loved hugs and cuddles, she always joined me when working. If she wasn't around and I got upset she would be there within seconds somehow. I love her, so underestimated animals. ❤️

No shoes for the amusement of humans, unless they have some special health condition , like bumble foot . I use extra soft padding for my boy,s sole that has an infection in the process of healing.
My mom and the other adults just don't understand why I won't let them take my chicken. I genuinely love her. Sure, I spoiled her a lot, but she makes me happy.
Update: My aunt and uncle took her. I was heartbroken. I cried and cried. I was fucking right! They don't understand at all! Those heartless bastards! Even if they are family, they took my happiness away! So many times they tried! But now... Rina!!!!! I'm sorry! I love you so much! I'm so sorry! I will never love again.

We got chickens as a drunk gift. We have never had them before didn’t even know if we were going to keep them. We decided if we can find a coop we are keeping them and we did. Now we can’t fathom our life with out them. We have 2 acres but they don’t know boundaries so they love going to the neighbors. They are spoiled by everyone.
I accidentally tamed a chicken during quarantine. Now I have to personally tuck her in at night, or she will get mad and cause a fuss in the garage (she’s one of two garage chickens). When she wants to be held, she will either stand at your feet and stare at you, peck your feet, or perch herself on your foot. Pyra is literally the most spoiled chicken I’ve ever had, and she knows it. I’m not allowed to take her on the porch, but I have several times with her in a towel.
My sister and I used to push our chickens around in baby strollers and dress them up in doll t-shirts when winter came. Our chickens were saints to put up with us.
