    Tenor Choir Practice: "Salvator Mundi", by Thomas Tallis (1505-1585) . Salvator Mundi (5-voices) is from Cantiones Sacrae. The five voices (SAATB) enter in sequence from soprano to bass, with arresting rising intervals of fifths and fourths, and "dissonant" intervals for expressive purposes. All parts come together at the words 'auxiliare nobis' (help us).
    "Salvator mundi, salva nos, qui per crucem et sanguinem redemisti nos:
    auxiliare nobis, te deprecamur, Deus noster".
    "O Savior of the world, save us, thou who hast redeemed us by thy cross and blood;
    help us, we beseech thee, our God".
