    That's a quite detailed and clean explanation about the key difference between simple 3d modeling and parametric modeling or design 👌Thanks a lot for the clarity regarding how to create the relationship tree of parameters and components to build specific process flow to create certain objects 🙏

    Estoy en medio de los cursos de Rese Arch y debo felicitarte José Luis por la explicación tan clara, detallada y al punto qué haces. Soy fan! Ahora me encuentro en el nivel avanzado despues de ver un poco los arboles de información y relaciones mas avanzadas, sin embargo descubrí tu canal y ver estos conceptos básicas me hizo re aprender ciertas cosas y entender mejor el contenido.

    This channel is great!!! I'm just starting to learn grasshopper and getting into parametric modelling! Btw, if you do want to maintain the connection between the curves and surfaces click the "record history" button in the status bar before doing the loft command. This way if you edit the curve it'll change the surface too.

    Can you explain why someone might want to use parametric modeling in rhino+grasshopper over parametric modeling in for instance Solidworks?

      theres pros and cons for both. Better simulation features in solidworks which is beneficial for engineering projects, whereas rhino can compute more complex curves using NURBS which is more versatile for artists and jewelers.
