UFO - Lights Out Remastered HQ

- This album is one of the best of the decade. Love to Love is one of the most epic songs ever written. I have no idea why these gents never took off in America as much as they should have. This is a super natural sounding, very thick album with a massive sounding snare. I love albums like this as they let you play around a bit without losing the punch. I think my attempt to modernize this one worked out really well, mostly because the original is so big. Support an awesome band and buy some of their music!
All remastered music posted here is for the purposes of entertainment and experimentation only. I am simply exploring modern mastering techniques and their effect on great albums from various eras. I love these bands and their music and am in no way seeking to monetize anything about this. All rights are with the original artist and no infringement is intended.
Mr. Phil Moog is a absolute Badass and WONDERFUL singer.

Simply The Best Line Up 🎶🎼🎵🎹🥁🎤🎸😎🤘
Without a doubt my favorite and most influential album of the 70's. The combination of melody and MS' absolute solo mastery has affected me to this day.
I'm a late convert to these guys too.
I missed them first time around but now i play them all the the time. Schenker is a beast !
Great workout music.
First track i heard when i was 16 was rock bottom, absolutely blew me away been a massive fan since, 64 now and still listening to them each day

August 7, 1951 - August 14, 2020
I have still have my two original copies on vinyl , the first got played out ! 😉
What a masterpiece. Or, re-masterpiece. Great sound. Thanks for the post.
"Love to Love is one of the most epic songs ever written." Couldn't agree more!
STONE COLD CLAS.SIC
I hear it's Steve Harris' absolute favorite UFO track, I gotta agree as well, that heavy riff with that cranked Dallas Rangemaster IS KILLER.
Can't agree more about Love to Love is monumental construction of strings, keyboards and drums together with Phill's vocal power makes for a very special song which will last many more decades to come!
Yes!
Absolutely brilliant album of great rock band UFO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great Metal band mind you :)
Lights Out, Obsession and Lovedrive - my 3 favourite albums of all time. Schenker is a genius. UFO were so original, such great songs, Ron Nevison was the perfect producer for UFO. Classics - fantastic remaster, thank you.
UFO! One of the BEST Metal bands ever!
It is an album that will not date ..sounding as awesome today as it was way back when .. Was great to see and hear lots of the tracks off this album , present on :The Last Orders Tour
Man this takes me back to my teen age year's of 17. Seen ufo 🛸 at the Chicago amphitheater, I'm now 59 and still rocking.
Went to the UFO show in Chicago 2017. it was unbelievable! First heard this album when released in the 70s.
I was late for school when radio played Try me in 1977 .It was so nice time in my school days cause full of joy. UFO developed their songs but still be UFO in schenker era..,love it!!!!! hat off to you all UFO.
Highly underrated band !!
Simply Masterpiece 🎵🎼🎶🎸😎👊
- Pete Way Rest In Peace 🎵🎼🎶🎸😭🙏

One of my favorite groups of all time
Just found out about UFO. Incredible. Another confirmation of my belief the best music is the stuff you've never heard.
This album is just too hot to handle
brilliant album every song wonderful
Lights out, obsession, The wild the willing and the innocent and strangers are as close to perfection as any album.
this is real rock music!!!
today's music are so empty
this is a masterpiece
Gettin' Ready.....what a song!!
Yes the vocals are very good on that song!
Still great after all these years
Love this album, high school days
Love this album (8 track tape) since it came out in 1977. Thanks for posting !!!
OK, that did the trick. I'm officially a UFO fan now.
Your a Little Late.
Never too late! This band was special. I saw them in 78 and 82
Michael Shenker was ny main inspiration. I worked ny ass to the bone as a kid to be able to afford my first and only flying V. I tore my fingers to the bone also. I never looked back. I am 58 now. Still inspired by Sir Shenker.
БОМБА!!!!!! Что тогда, в конце 70-ых на виниле - что сейчас, полный отрыв. Для меня, несомненно, - лучший пласт UFO......
First time i heard it today. Rockin'! 'Lights out' what a ripsnorter!
Love to Love ,is simply a masterpiece ,this was the first UFO LP ,I bought ,still one of the two best they recorded[not including the live LP].
This is my #1 favorite album......Black Sabbath Vol 4 is a close @ #2.
For me this, obsession Strangers and Heaven and Hell Sabbath
The best ever never gets old
Great freakin record takes me back
Best Love Song for ever.
When I was young in the mid 70s I alway listened to Rainbow, Deep Purple, Zep, Uriah Heep etc, and hardly never UFO. But now, being more 50 years old I seldom listen to those ones but UFO is very frequent at me every day. Not that those are not good, but I rather feel up to listening to the UFO feeling. Interesting.
Elo is one of those bands too
I left this CD in my car CD player for 5 years. Play it everywhere I went for 5 years Non-Stop, I still couldn't get enough of it!!!!
Awesome To Hear The Good Ol Classic Rock!!!
Heck yes!
So, so good, the best. We need this to live, you got me Mark. Sha la la la i love you ufo. You're too too hot to handle baby now gimme that guitar lead i love you forever. robert whitlow class of 1981 portage indiana
"Gettin' Ready"
Nuff said
Andy "hitman" Parker on drums!!!!!! One of the best hard rock albums ever!!!
Andy is pretty good on this one, but he was asleep at the wheel with a very boring performance on the otherwise great "Walk On Water" album.
Andy paker one of best drummer ever
It's such an injustice that these guys didn't get the recognition they deserve because I've searched on here for old metal and I found a couple of 🦂 albums from that era and they completely suck no comparison to this great album ps thanks for posting
I became really aware of this masterpiece, after watching Foghat cover 'Lights Out' and 'Too Hot to Handle' in a small Texas roadhouse, back in the early 90's.
Foghat and UFO probably did some shows together in the 70s. Bet it was rockin'.
I was so surprised they covered "Alone again or" (Love,1967)🎵
Love ufo what a class band Love Phil moogs voice brilliant band
Me parece unos de los disco más grandes más Auténticos de La historia del Hard Rock. Una banda muy grande UFO
Great rock n roll
Just got back into this. My buddy was playing the epic Live Album they recorded in Chicago! How great to tap back into these phenomenal musicians!
Fantastic improvement in sound clarity over original album. Far more space between instruments. Well done!
I always ask people whether they've heard of or know UFO when they start mentioning Purple ,zeppelin,Sabbath or priest ...and you know what 99%of the time they say no ....so I just advice them to check UFO immediately cause they are missing out big time ....
I was one of those that never heard of UFO back when Purple ,zeppelin,Sabbath or priest were popular and I don't know why!
Tripped on them through Pandora ( it’s good for something sometimes ) had never heard of them and imo they are better than most of the well known bands of similar style
They are very well known in my group of friends.
Grande banda de rock pesado dos anos 70 que foi uma escola pra muitos músicos e guitarristas! Destaque para Michael Shencker, que tem um estilo e timbre único com sua Flaying V Guitar! 💀💥🇧🇷🎯
I'm just checking them out now. Holy cow, these guys are amazing!
We lost Pete Way today, Friday August 14, 2020 .. R.I.P. brother! 🙏🏻
Very sad , I was.a.huge fan in the 70's , just recently found UF O again , I didn't know Pete was seriously injured a few months ago, kinda weird in a way with the timing . One of the most influential albums for a 14 kid in 1977 😢
Flying v into a pignose .
Just listen to the outro of lights out, my God, absolutley astonishing playing.
Unbelievable, pure genius
Back when music was still Dangerous .
adam warlock fucking A right buddy
Damn it it seems like it just gets better as I get older
Alone Again Or- GORGEOUS SOLO
masterpiece
sublime
master stroke
Thanks for this. Always loved this album bought it in my teenage years and couldn't wait to turn it on to everybody I knew. Then came the Scorpions offspring. Dug them too.
Thanks for the remix! I think I can finally hear Pete Way on this! Obsession should definitely be your next one - my personal favorite!
Fell in love with this music 🎶 quality stuff from the musicians.
An Pete Way injection!!!!!
Sounds amazing!!!
been listening too since the 70's
I think Pete would be happy with the remaster job. He's way higher up in the mix from the original. Well done.
great rock album enjoyed it
They didn't make a bad album period
True. I wonder how they managed that.
Fave guitarist singer combo ever. Wish they'd got along better
Bloody best times for music 70s
That's for damn sure
Timeless

Very welcome, happy you dig it.

Ah Man ! I'm at a Loss fer Words.
I'll say one band that managed to stay true to themselves while making their most commercial release to date great record.
A 1970's FAVE LP ! Great stuff! from Michael t Wyman and 99 UFO fans
WestLA CA USA 90230 oooh yeah it's UFO ! 70'S giants ....... M Shenker too!
Takes me back to the times(around 1971/72, can`t remember exactly)when a friend of mine popped up with three 45s. Love a like a man(Ten Years After)(the whole song split into a and b side), Oh Well(Fleetwood Mac) also split on a/b and UFO Prince Kajuku/The coming of Prince Kajuku. Thank God he sold UFO for a song and dance to me. the rest is history!
Great Recording! Your remastering is superb... Michael Schenker makes these songs...and this collection brought UFO to the forefront. Love this album...I almost forgot about Rudolph, Michael and Rudolph...in my opinion they were the Scorpions in spite of all the line-up changes...
Well done there dude. This sounds great.
Gettin' Ready is a great song!
Check out UFO's remake of Lights Out ('95) & "Doctor Doctor" on their best release "Walk on Water" featuring Schenker!!!
Agreed! I love the updated versions of those 2 songs on WOW!!
Listen to Pete Way jump out of the mix. The guy was such an underrated bassist.
RIP Pete.
@@johnnie3Chords Have you read Pete's autobiography, "A Fast Ride Out of Here"? Pretty heavy stuff!! He defined "Sex, drugs and Rock 'n Roll"!!!
RIP Pete Way !
This album was better than 'best of the decade'. Ten years after this album came out, the great era of metal bands emerged with styles that UFO had perfected many years before. I believe that the rock metal ballads were also perfected by UFO in what we now refer to as the traditional style of rock ballad song writing structure. The song 'Lights Out' still holds up today. I bought this album when it came out, and never regretted it.
My friends and I like to play a little game called 'what if...'. So what if the crooner of middle-aged women, Tom Jones, ("the robust baritone"), had pulled his head from his shorts and decided to join a hard rock band. Could he have sung a song like 'Lights Out', and done justice to an emerging art form in the early seventies? I say this ironically because Jones interacted with a lot of rock stars, and later in life began to diversify his interests in music. But I think he would've gone home with fewer panties had he made the change. I know. Why play this game. But the choices we make in life do matter.
I still have the album I bought in 1977, at Athens Ga. Record Bar. Still have my killer 70s Sansui stereo. Still sounds awesome!!
@@timcoker1428 I bet it does. I'm listening on Jlab Epic True Air and a TCL phone....damn this album sounds good.
they came to pittsbrugh in 1976 and they were great i have most of the albums they rocks i think they play before pat travers the rocked
You done good, man!
Great Job of remastering this Jem!!!!...My all time favorite album by UFO (and by any band actually)
Thanks for the comments-I agree that UFO should have been bigger-i was in a couple of bands back in the late '70's /early '80's and we covered UFO songs -great rock music.
This remaster is epic
Cool Album
Thx for post
Hail from AustriA
got to see the original lineup in 70's live..i kind of think the two guys making out on stage might have affect their popularity but I loved em
Who did that I saw the lineup in the 78 which 2 I’m curious ?
Michael Schenker is incredible! He's a fuckin' legend!
Super Bueno UFO EXELENTE DISCO
Electric phase
Why didn't UFO take off in America? When I first heard Too Hot to Handle in 1977 on an Album oriented rock station WDVE out of Pittsburg, PA. I went to buy the 8-Track. I couldn't find it anywhere. I did find one of Phenomenon at the mall record shop. But no Lights Out.
The Lights out Album and the Live Album Strangers in the night was the 2 albums that would have put UFO into Superstardom sadly numbnuts Phil punched a younger Michael who immediately left the band the group then put Paul Chapman in I had gotten a ticket to a see them not knowing Michael had left the band disappointment that night to say the least !! Chapman was okay but he was no Michael Schenker !! The U.S. and the world was this band’s oyster had Phil not punched Michael !! They got back together in 95 with the lineup with Andy,Way,Raymond and of course Schenker and Moog they even cut a new album it’s like time stood still !! Still today U.F.O. still ranks as 1 of the most ass kick bands ever with Moog and Schenker in it together !!!
Yes
Try Me is my favorite and one of Schenker's best solo in my opinion.
Hit Parader, maybe 85 so. A short paragraph. Michael Schenker says solo from Try Me is his favorite.
❤
