the 15 double cask!!! I'm so happy I found this video, it's been something I've thought to myself, 'hmm, what goes with a good single malt?' love you videos, learned so much - of what not to do......no'mo 😅
I absolutely love Oban. It was my favorite distillery that we toured and really is at the top of my scotch list. Just the right amount of peat flavor for me, like the perfect mix of the Highland and Isla scotches. I tried several while we were there, including the 18 year, and the 14 year was still my favorite. Guess that’s a good thing since I haven’t found 18 year here in Arkansas. Definitely need to try pairing it with a cigar. Thanks for another great video Mazz!
I'm new to the cigar scene I've tried majority of main wrapper types except I believe habano, I've found I prefer Maduros from the most of what I've tried so far. What would be a good pairing with these types of cigars?
It will usually depend on the strength/body of the Maduro. The Balvenie 14 year we talked about in this video would pair incredibly with the sweeter, medium-bodied Maduros (such as the Ashton Aged Maduro). For more full-bodied Maduro cigars, you may want a scotch with some peat/smoke or even a bourbon to keep the pairing balanced. The last thing you want is your pairing to be overpowering.
I'm not too familiar with this kind of stuff but my older brother is a big whiskey drinker. What do you guys recommend for his birthday? He's ex-navy brass.
Most cigar shops will carry a variety of quality torch lighters, so your best bet is to go to your local cigar shop/tobacconist and see what they carry. Find one you like and make sure to get extra fuel. Xicar, Lotus and Jetline are some of the most popular brands and they're all very high quality, but we'll put out a video with some of our favorites soon.
@@holtscigars the older glendronach cask strenght or signatory and adelphi single cask bottlings pretty much everything they put out beat evert macallan i ever tastet. There is also so many good glenallachie bottlings i could go on😊
I quit buying W Grant & Sons products since they ruined the Glenfiddich 15 when they started finishing it in sherry casks and then the company went FULL BLAST WOKE! Besides Islay whiskies rule!

For a gentle first full bourbon cask single malt try Glencadam 10. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Ashton classic Connecticut with Aberlour 12 year double cask. Very accessible cigar with a easy drinking scotch. Alba gú brath!
Great video and pairing review! Definitely adding The Balvenie 14 to my collection now.
Can't go wrong!
Great video I’m new to cigars and you have given me a great education.
Glad to hear you found the content helpful. Thanks for watching! Check out our channel for tons of educational and cultural topics
Another excellent video I love Scotch
Just found your channel recently, love it, cheers.
Glad to hear it, thank you!
This video was awesome... I'm putting my vote in for the best cognac and cigar pairings that would be awesome!
We'll add it to our list!
That is my favorite amount of whiskey!!! Loved this venue, must plan a visit to PA now to visit this lounge
You should! The Ashton Cigar Bar has PA's largest whiskey list with over 450 selections
Just seeing this video. Another great video!!!!
Thanks for the support!

Nicely done

Dammit Anthony, I am so jealous ! Great whisky, great cigar, great suit. You are living the life. ❤
Great lounge. He's actually sitting in my seat. Lol.
Keeping it warm for you 😆
That a nice suit!
I need to try some Scotch!
Yes my friend, yes
Please do a Run and Cigar paring. That's the original pairing!
Macallan 12 use to be my daily when it was under $45 a bottle. Prices have shot up. Even my $80 hakushu 12 is heading to the $200 range.
I’ll have to check that place out.
💯
On the money Anthony 😊
can never go wrong with scotch pairing i tend to go to johnny walker platnium and blue label occasionally glengoyne 21 year old
Would love to see Oliva age tobacco in rum or bourbon barrels.
Would something like Baileys Irish cream work well with a cigar?
Anything you enjoy with a cigar works!

Macallan 12 is one of my favorites.. any other cigar(s) that pair good with it? I’d appreciate any advice.. thanks and I appreciate the vids.. Cheers!
Absolutely! Oliva Serie V Melanio, La Aroma de Cuba Connecticut, Ashton ESG just for a few suggestions. Cheers 🥃🔥

Many cigars go great with whiskey, but you can't go wrong with Ashton VSG or Padron 1964!
I know one thing….. Anthony sipping and smoking is feeling tight and right. Cheers🥃🥃😃😃😎🎸🎸
Glad you enjoyed the video! Cheers 😎🥃
@Holtcigars Do you recommend dipping your cigar into the drink before lighting?? If there's such a thing.
We don't recommend it. Steak goes really well with wine, but you shouldn't dip your steak in your wine.
@@holtscigars 😆😆 classy response. Thank you!
@holtscigars I seen Arnold Schwarzenegger wet his with tequila 😆😆
Yeah we’ve seen that too 😅😂
@holtscigars Ok. You can tell I'm a beginner with the line of questions but I aim to get better with cigar smoking and etiquette. 👍
Glendronach 12 OG
Glendronach 18 Allardice
GlenAllachie 2006 15yr
Adding these to our shopping list! Cheers 🥃💨
VSG Eclipse and Lagavulin 37
🤤
I appreciate the video, but one point; The Macallan is a Highland distillery, not a Speyside.
It is speyside
Well so it is. 😎 My whole life has been a lie. 😂🥃

It may just be your preference, which is completely ok. Which Macallans have you had?
That Macallan is awful. I've got it in my bar and I pour it for people I don't want drinking my good scotch
What's the good scotch in your collection?
You pour scotch you hate for your guests? You sound like a nice guy!
15 yr sherry cask Balvenie- best scotch I ever tasted. 14 yr carribean … meh

Why do cigar guys always have bad taste in whisky? Also always throw it with ice in a giant Tumbler.
