    I have a Caran d'Ache 884 and have no problems using the long point sharpener.
    The one proper downside of this sharpener, is the overall uselessness of the cleaning sponge.
    It'll last you about two-three weeks, and then it's saturated.
    Then again, when it's saturated, use any other sponge cleaner (in my case, a makeup removal pad) and you're perfectly fine to go:)

    • @Shabazza84
      @Shabazza84 3 роки тому

      Just let the lead fall out more and then sharpen it, if the holder is in the way.
      The sharpener does automatically stop at perfect pointyness due to it's internal design.
      So no need to measure with those holes. Just be gentle when sharpening it like the pen was your partner, because in a way, it is.

      In my experience non-Staedtler lead holders don't usually fit. Which lead holder are you asking about?

    I got one of these and okay I thought I was using it wrong- no it just either sucks or was broken right out of the package.
    I am using Steadtlers own lead pencil made for this and it doesn't work at all.
    What a waste of $15 =/
    Edit: It doesn't work on either 2.0 Steadtlers but it works on the chinese brand one I have. Lol.

      How strange. Sorry about that. Not sure what to suggest other than maybe taking it apart in case something is stuck.

    I have one and i find it totally rubish it brakes all my soft leads and as you can see in this video it doesn´t work with most lead holders.

      fenixway1 oh. How soft are they? 2B? And which brand?
      If you use this lead pointer with Staedtler leadholders it's great.

      Works amazing for me. Super sharp point and never had a break. I use the Staetler "mars technico" lead holder with 2mm leads in 4H, 2B, and 4B. Haven't tried softer than that though,

      Professional comic artists use them. So they must be good enough right?
