This act seems to symbolize the everyday man and woman. We are all born strong and beautiful in different ways, yet we have to twist, contort, and expend our bodies and our lives for someone else just to maintain our own existence. In the end our lives seem spent on others rather than taking the time to enjoy the time for ourselves. That's the problem with society.
No soul should ever have to give up the passion within their soul, the fire, the very thing that sets them apart from everyone else. But, far too many souls do. They give it up. They hand over their passion in exchange for acceptance. Sad. Tragic....
I almost cried when I saw how her feet were curled in through most of the act. I can tell you from experience that the pain that results can be near crippling. I was trying some of those positions with a swinging rope over a deep pool once and when I got upside down my feet curled in and I had to let go, just so that I could straighten my feet out. It took both hands to straighten them again. I have nothing but respect for this woman, who probably has to go through that kind of pain everyday.
