You got to check out Lee Aaron - Metal Queen, Got To Be The One, or Barely Holding On. Early 80's Metal from 🇨🇦 and awesome power vocals, completely under-rated. 🤘❤️🇨🇦
Doro Pesch is friends with German boxer Regina Halmich and provided the songs for some of her fights. And her song Burn It Up (Bird of Fire) was written for an American Football club from Düsseldorf.
Doro has always had the well-deserved reputation of being one the truly nicest people in metal. Never any rockstar BS, always very approachable. Warlock, Megadeth and Sanctuary was my first concert ever in March of '88, and it was incredible. I went to the 30th anniversary show for Triumph and Agony a couple of years ago and finally got meet her. After the show, instead of going backstage, she and the whole band just hopped off the stage to mingle with us. SO cool! Glad you guys reacted to this, it brings back lots of great memories. Keep 'em coming! \m/
The whole Triumph & Agony album was fantastic. Fun fact: I bought the album without having heard a single song from Warlock simply because of the album art. It was a great surprise to find out that the music was actually measured up to the cover art. "Kiss Of Death" is a stand out track, as well as " Three Minute Warning".
I traded someone Metallica Masters of Puppets for Triumph and agony album in 1988 and never heard of Warlock till the trade... My favorite Album of all times now. Best song in my opinion is Kiss Of Death.
Allll Hail the Metal Queen!! I've been a fan since 1987. I met her in '08. Most lovely soul you could ever meet. I had tears and she was so comforting. She lives for and adores her fans. 🥰🤘 She has so many great songs.
That is exactly my story, on the nose, except I met her around 1999 or so. She sat with my friend and I after a show and we talked for 45 minutes, just the 3 of us.
@@firstnamelastname8060 Both of those are great stories. We had the chance to see Doro Malmsteen and Dio on a triple bill at a 3000/4000 capacity club back in the 90s. Talk about a killer line up. She was walking through the entry lobby area after the show talking to people. Very cool.
I've been loving Doro since 'True as Steel'. I got to see her in Chicago for the 30th anniversary tour of the very album "All we Are" is on. It was everything I wanted in that show...well, I would have loved some songs off of 'True as Steel', 'Machine II Machine', and 'Love Me in Black'. But, I understood the mission of the tour I saw. They played the entire album!
Lita Ford was gorgeous in her day as well. Her mid-80s persona was the dream of many young men. And she could play the guitar!!! Her duet with Ozzy was super and "Kiss Me Deadly" is still a banger!!! Check her out too. With an start like the Runaways she still powered on.
You know I think we sometimes underappreciate just how blessed we were with the Rock scene from the 60's to the 90's. It went through such an evolution and along the way we got super-rock-chicks like Doro and my personal favourite Lee Aaron who kicked ass and took names. In lee's case that was literal on the night I saw her in a little rock club in Longton - the stage was only a few inches high, so the band were right there and one chap couldn't keep his hands to himself so Lee firmly rebuffed him with a stiletto heeled boot! Hard to believe she does jazz these days ... and she does that well too :) Because she made that genre change she might let you live, Burch, for not recognising that it is she that is the Metal Queen :D I lived through it, like Burch, so we know there *was* still sexism in the air at the start of the 80's and Warlock was one of those acts that put that to rest - mind you we should never ever forget the likes of Gypsy Queen, Girlschool and Cheetah who pushed the door open and kept it open.
I had the chance to attend a concert of Warlock and Doro. They have so much straight to energy! Awesome! Did you know she was great friends with Lemmy Krimiserie from Motörhead? She even got one the engraved cartridges with his ash in it after he passed away a couple of years back.
Doro is such a gem. I saw her live in Madrid, Spain, some years ago and she was so sweet with the audience. She radiated such love, energy and happyness... that show is one I'll never forget.
Since you guys like Doro, You should listen to Lee Aaron She is a Canadian Solo artist. She has Big Hits: Metal Queen, Whatcha Gonna Do To My Body. She does a Really good cover of Montrose's Rock Candy
Yep, I'm still in love with Doro : ) I actually used that spin move that the bass player does when I played in a metal band in L.A. It was safer than throwing the guitar over my shoulder and whacking somebody or breaking something.
Epitome of an audience "participation" song when played live. Doro was smokin hot back in the day...still is for that matter. But, her solo stuff that came out after her Warlock days is DEFINITELY worth checking out.
"BURRRRRCH"! .. What's up my guy? Love Doro. Underrated vocalist. I had Burning Witches album and Triumph and Agony album. So good. Johnny Dee (ex Britny Fox) is her drummer. I have my Yngwie story as well meeting him on tour with Steve Vai. It wasn't good and I told him what I thought of him because we work hard for our money and we pay his bills. The least he could be is kind when we want to meet him after a show. Amazing Guitarist, shitty human. That's all I'll say.
I Didn't have Doro on my wall I had Lee Aaron on it the other Metal Queen of the time and I was considered the wierdo on that one by my friends who all had Doro on theirs
This is one of the ones I wish Burch would have started with no explanation. Letting it speak for itself. Quietest Burch has ever been during a video. lol Doro is a legend "Für Immer".
I've seen her in the mid 80s when they played the Hellbound album. Back in the day it was metal. Much of what has come from her in the following years was more and more what I would call pop music a lot of times. Some exceptions. Back then the entire band was German, that changed soon thereafter. Various players from different countries make up her band. Current guitarist is Brazilian.
At the time of this album, the band was no longer German. She was living in NY and recruited from there. I still have her photos, flags, etc adorning my walls as well as box sets, collectibles and a life size cardboard cutout of the T&A album cover proudly displayed in my home. My latest is a drum head her drummer, Johnny Dee, sent me. I've got 2 leather trench coats that I had airbrushed with 2 different album covers of hers (which you should really show Alexis all the awesome artwork of the album covers). I've also got a full sleeve tattoo of her Rare Diamonds album cover that she has signed. Doro is absolutely the sweetest person anyone could ever hope to meet. I met her about 15 years ago now and I've been lucky enough to have become friends with her, her band and crew in that time. I just consider myself a lucky fan but they call me family. I'm going over to her hometown of Dusseldorf, Germany for her 40th anniversary concert on Oct 28. She does a huge show with many special guests every 5 years to celebrate the anniversary. You should do another song around then to celebrate. If you want another anthem I suggest Raise Your Fist or the Wacken anthem she wrote for them, We Are The Metalheads.
I had heard of Warlock before back in the '80's (not the mc club in central Fla. 😁), but never heard their music until I went to a concert in of all place, Palmetto Fl. at the Manatee Civic Center, to see Megadeth and Warlock was their opening act. They killed it and I immediately became a fan. 🙌🤘✌️
I saw the livestream of her 2023 Wacken-Concert. She still has the power! And she give a great Tribut to Lemmy by playing "Ace of Spade" with his old bandmembers and other guests! I love her and her music since the mid-80s. Thanks for that video from germany.
a nhl game should do that it would be insane the blue jackets use acdc for those about to rock with the cannon when they score and its amazing live and since you did the amazing doro if you havnt done accept that would be another great german one
Indeed, this song is very anthemic. I'm surprised there has not been a compilation made containing all the metal and hard rock anthem songs (from the 80s and 90s) that get frequently used in sporting events. I create compilations all the time, and would probably take a crack at this idea myself, but what I find particularly "anthemic" may not be considered as such by a broader audience. I often get "lost in the sauce" and wind up with so much material I expand the collection to be bigger than intended (1 CD can become 2, 3, or 4, or even an entire box set, very easily).
Doro... hell. I am a German. And Germans and Heavy Metal never had the biggest thing running. Yes we had Accept with Udo Dirkschneider but that was nearly everything. Until this lil Lady came. With 1,5m but a Heart as big as you can think ,,,, she still is playing music and iam for once could say. Yes im Proud to be a German hahahahaha. I have every song of her on LP. Even the 90s years that where... not the best for Metal haha. She allways had a special Place in my Heart. And i thank god that 1,5m didnt made it possible for her to become a Model. Cause that was her first choice as far as i remember :D GREAT Personality, great Music even... :D I have to Admit. All we are is not the Song i would choose for a representation of her Skill. :D
Rock and roll has Ann Wilson. Heavy metal has Doro Pesch. Doro is THE trailblazer for women in metal. Many bands that had women toned down the sound, made the metal sound soft and feminine, etc…she changed all of that. The music remained hard and heavy, she didn’t play the innocent role…she went all out and took charge. She seriously changed everything for women to come in the genre. She was/is strong and confident, powerful in presence, sexy, etc…the whole nine yards
Love Doro! She’s a beautiful soul! Saw her, and her band countless times! I was at Dio’s Magica Tour, Doro/Yngwie opening. Circa 2000, if memory serves. Awesome show.
Doro solo basically IS Warlock still, I think they had just lost the rights to use their name due to some management deal that ended up going south. A similar situation happened to Trixter in the mid 90s.
While Doro Pesh is a metal queen she is not the metal queen that title belongs to Lee Aaron as her 2nd album from 1984 titled Metal Queen is the business, and you should listen to it the title track Metal Queen. However my favourite track is from that album is Track 2 - Lady of the Darkest Night. P.S. If you start a movie reaction channel Finding Nemo and Finding Dory should be among your first (Let's keep swimming, Let's keep swimming) also Paddingtion 1 & 2 to let us know that you have a heart. Great reaction, thank you.
I'm 65 and my health ain't the best and the past few years I have been watching videos and reaction videos and listening to music from my Youth. I can't remember some so Videos are helping me remember. I had Warlocks albums but unfortunately a lot of my Albums, Cassettes and CDs have disappeared/stolen. ROCK ON!
Doro is the metal queen. My friend was listen to Lee Aaron.I put on Doro he went wow who is that long story short he went to the record store and got all the Doro and warlock cd. My other friend played one of Doro song on the sound system at one of the london knights hockey game. The new cd comes out October 27 2023. Rock on Doro.
I am so glad that I came across this video, I have been a massive Warlock \ Doro fan since I was a teen, I am 52 now so that will give you some idea of how long. I it great to see you reviewing songs and artists that aren’t usually reviewed, I have now subscribed and I look forward to checking out more of your videos, thank you 🙏🏼 🎸👍🏼
Being Canadian, my metal queen was Lee Aaron. Because she signed with Attic Records (a Canadian record company which closed in 2001), she never got the opportunity to play stateside. She eventually left Attic and released a couple of jazz albums. About 10 years ago she got back into rock fulltime and has since released several albums and done several tours including playing at Wacken 2018.
Holds true for a lot of us Canadians. When you have a song called Metal Queen? Lee Aaron will always be top of the world for me. Seen her play half a dozen times over the last 30 odd years. Never disappoints.
Really, man? I'm brazilian and listening to metal for the past 34 years and I've never heard of Lee Aaron before! But I'll definitely check her out! Thanks!!!
Lee Aaron is a great singer, but once she has changed genres, she can only be a princess.🤣 Doro is metal, was metal and will always be metal, and that makes her the true metal Queen.
I will never forget the day I met Doro when I was sixteen years old in the parking lot after a Warlock show. She gave me a half hug that left me star struck and speechless.
Doro is the nicest person ever, I remember her tour manager telling her they had to leave and she told him that they were going to leave when she met all the fans! Regarding the song, that is her most famous one, but not their best. You should check out Fur Immer ua-cam.com/video/mUmtIJCs8_w/v-deo.html or Metal Tango. I've seen her multiple times in concert and she is still amazing today as she was back in the day! All hail the Metal Queen!
Oddly enough, my favorite song from Doro isn't from Warlock or one of her solo albums. It's from the Dio tribute album "This is Your Life". She sang a cover of "Egypt (The Chains are On)", and it's... ... awesome.
I saw Doro both with Warlock and on her solo tour and both times were phenomenal. She's one hell of an entertainer. She's been banging out her music for almost 40 years.
*YESSS YOU FINALLY GOT IT PUSHED THRU!!!!* I'm so glad Alexis liked it!!!! Her idea to use it as a walk out theme hes been said multiple times by me and my friends, we honestly can't believe no ones used it. I sort of can a little because let's face it Warlock isn't a very well known band, you have to be a real metalhead to know who they are or have a friend who's one lol. It's always been in my top 10-20 metal songs of all time. And yes SHE is the true Metal queen. I love that Burch know the difference between Hard Rock and Metal, most don't. Oh and F Lita Ford!!!! DORO FOREVER!!!!! ✌Peace✌ and 🤘Rock on🤘
I got to see Warlock when they were an opening act at Monsters of Rock in Germany. There was Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, Def Leppard, MSG, and Scorpions all opening up for Ozzy. It was an amazing show.
I highly recommend any animated movie, Burch! Many are better than most live action movies.. well, until some of the most recent offerings anyway, I need not say why that is - everyone knows.. hehe. But totally, All those Disney/Pixar/Dreamworks/etc (which include Finding Nemo and Finding Dory) are better than you would expect them to be, even for adults. They're not just for kids.
Aaahhh my teenage years. SO MANY posters on my wall. Drove my Mom nuts! I had plenty of band pics, from Bon Jovi to Slayer. I had Heather Thomas(famous pink bikini shot in the Hot Tub), Samantha Fox(she worked with Lemmy sometimes, so she had good cred. She was also quite HOT). Of course I had Doro Pesch, THE Metal Queen. But I also had Canada's Metal Queen up on my wall. Lee Aaron. Maybe one day, you 2 can check her out. 2 options for ya, the songs Metal Queen or Whatcha Do To My Body! Enjoyed your reaction and keep up the GREAT work! 🤘🤘🤘
Great job with your reaction to All We Are From (Warlock) DORO Persh . I'm really hoping you check out the cover of Total Eclipse Of The Heart She did with Rob Halford and they will cover Close My Eyes Forever from Lita Ford and Ozzy Osbourne.
Für Immer, Love Me in Black, Whiter Shade of Pale, White Wedding, Raise Your Fist in the Air… And definitely agree with others for Lee Aaron - Metal Queen, Hands On, Whatcha Do to My Body, and Some Girls Do And for something different, Show-Ya, which is a Japanese all-female HR/HM band - check out the video for “Watashi Wa Arashi”
Never was into Warlock, but i love Doro, specially her solo stuff and her "softer" side, her album "True at heart" is fantastic. Songs like "Fall for me again", "Even angels cry", "I know you by heart", or her " talking" sweet voice in " The fortuneteller" show off her superb voice. On another side ..... Bills fan ..... mmmm .....Jets fan here, but i don´t hate the Bills. Great match the other day, well, besides the Rodgers stuff.
The kind of song you're looking for the word for is anthem. Warlock's All We Are is definitely a Heavy Metal Anthem. The kind of chorus that's not complex, easy to sing or shout along to and perfect for rocking out in football stadiums 🏟 . Judas Priest back in the 80s became known as the rock anthem band. Kings of Metal Anthems band? Anyway. Priest would record whole albums that were just chock full of fist in the air Metal anthems. So if you loved All We Are by Doro and the boys of Warlock? Check out pretty much any 80s Judas Priest album and you'll find a giant truckload of Metal anthems. Actually, to be fair? Even since the amazing double kick drum beast master that is Scott Travis, who joined Priest for their monster Metal album Painkiller in 1990? They still write a lot of Heavy Metal anthems. It could be argued that the title track to the Painkiller album is an anthem as well, albeit a pounding hard lightning fast slam your back against the wall anthem. One of my favorite anthems by Judas Priest is Turbo Lover from their Turbo album. The studio version is the best version and the very beautiful very sexy Samantha Fox kinda stars in the original video. Samantha, and her hair, and a motorcycle, star in the video. Worth a watch just for that, especially if you loved Doro Pesch in that awesome All We Are video.

Her and Lee Aaron.
She is the Queen of hard rock and metal . She helped shape what the hard rock and metal scene is now
Definitely a "Shield Maiden of Metal."
The female Dio

A brilliant German song by Doro is Für Immer. A great ballad. Make a reaction video of it

One of the Warlock/Doro guitarists was John Levin who has been playing for Dokken for the last 15 or so years...

No one ever mentions Leather Leone from Chastain band .
Other female rockers to consider are Lita Ford or Vixen.
I Rule the Ruins and East Meets West off that same album are great songs also!
I owned the cd so that made me cool because I would play it for my friends. I had the best stereo in town.

I second the motion to listen to Metal Queen by Lee Aaron!!!!
There's great women in rock, but Doro started the female stance for women in metal.
For more female metal you have Lee Aaron also... "Metal Queen" for example.
Back then she looked like she belonged in a Boris Vallejo painting …wearing a chain mail bikini , brandishing a sword and riding a winged horse.
Love Doro, she is the Queen of Metal. Don't worry Burch, Yngwie don't like anybody but himself. Ha ha!!
You guys should react to the sound of silence (disturbed version)
I it great to see you reviewing songs and artists that aren’t usually reviewed, I have now subscribed and I look forward to checking out more of your videos, thank you 🙏🏼 🎸👍🏼
You should do a Plasmatics reaction.
Für Immer und Love me in Black are even great Songs from Doro. Or the Wacken Anthem We are the metallheads. Greetings from Germany
her remake of white wedding is better than the original
This entire album is absolute fire
Leather Leone and Chastaine are cool too...
More SRV PLEASE!
Finally!!!!!! Doro is truly the queen of metal....favortite song for me is metal tango...and love her cover of whiter shade of pale....
Dang she was on the only poster i ever had. :)
I also had posters of Doro Pesch on my wall
When I was in high school everyone was Lita Ford... I was Doro! She is still beautiful!
You need to do some Krokus! Screaming in the night or Stayed awake all night.
I came here to say the same! The Metal Queen is Lee Aaron! 🤘
Thanks!!!
Lee Aaron is a great singer, but once she has changed genres, she can only be a princess.🤣
Doro is metal, was metal and will always be metal, and that makes her the true metal Queen.
If I’m thinking right, I heard/read that Doro is a born-again Christian today. Correct me if I’m wrong. God bless and Metal on!
I will never forget the day I met Doro when I was sixteen years old in the parking lot after a Warlock show. She gave me a half hug that left me star struck and speechless.
Right there with you, felt the same way at 30 when I met her and would still feel that way today. She is a rockstar
She sang a cover of "Egypt (The Chains are On)", and it's...
... awesome.
gene simmions (kiss) helped her with her singing english
I saw Doro both with Warlock and on her solo tour and both times were phenomenal. She's one hell of an entertainer. She's been banging out her music for almost 40 years.
Doro Pesch......1980's Metal hotness......Always loved her. and her last name is pronounced PESH.
Every Metalhead I knew back in the day had a huge crush on Doro!!!! The true Metal queen.
*YESSS YOU FINALLY GOT IT PUSHED THRU!!!!*
I'm so glad Alexis liked it!!!!
✌Peace✌ and 🤘Rock on🤘
German band Eisbrecher covered this recently.
Her full name is Doro Pesch (pronounced 'Pesh').
I got to see Warlock when they were an opening act at Monsters of Rock in Germany. There was Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, Def Leppard, MSG, and Scorpions all opening up for Ozzy. It was an amazing show.
Doro and Lita Ford are the most beautiful women of Rock and Metal ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I heard that Doro and Rob Halford just recorded a duet. That should be cool.
Not just any duet... they redid Total Eclipse of the Heart! The epic Bonnie Tyler song, written by the late, great Jim Steinman.
My first concert was Warlock, Sanctuary, & Megadeth
@flickeringboxofficial You should check out Doro's cover of A Whiter Shade Of Pale
Great job with your reaction to All We Are From (Warlock) DORO Persh . I'm really hoping you check out the cover of Total Eclipse Of The Heart She did with Rob Halford and they will cover Close My Eyes Forever from Lita Ford and Ozzy Osbourne.
Für Immer, Love Me in Black, Whiter Shade of Pale, White Wedding, Raise Your Fist in the Air…
And definitely agree with others for Lee Aaron - Metal Queen, Hands On, Whatcha Do to My Body, and Some Girls Do
And for something different, Show-Ya, which is a Japanese all-female HR/HM band - check out the video for “Watashi Wa Arashi”
and she STILL has those 'pipes'...check her out as "Doro" at Monsters of Rock 2023 in Sao Paulo....
Doro's solo music is very much a definite listen. One big song from her is definitely KISS ME LIKE A COBRA.
What's so cheesy about the beginning? It's pretty damn cool! Better than today's boring videos!
Maybe I'm a bit late to answer, but german Flyweight Boxer an 43 times world champion Regina Halmich used Doro songs, among others, for her walk out .
