I was hoping for other characters, like Kurenai, Anko, Shizune, Sakumo, Dai, Hiashi, Zetsu, Hagoromo, Hamura, Toneri, Omoi, Karui, Cee, Dosu, Kin, Zaku, Shikaku, Kinkaku, Ginkaku, Shikadai, Chocho, Inojin, Choza, Inochi, Metal Lee, Hoki, Sumire, Deepa, Shinki, Araya, Yodo, Yurui, Urashiki, Akatsuchi, Kurotsuchi, Chojuro, Ao, Yugao, Hayate, Baki, Dan, Pakura, Gari, Izumo, Kotetsu, Genma, Raido, Shin, Udon, Moegi, third kazekage and the other five swordsmen of the mist. I also wanted updated awakens for some characters, like Kiba's two/three headed wolf, og Gaara's partial transformation, Jugo's curse mark v2, Lee's drunken fist, Suigetsu's demon wave mode and Orochimaru eight branches mode. Maybe i was expecting too much 😅

I hope they bring some old charchters back like Shizune, anko, yugao who are currently still stuck in the ultimate ninja and clash of ninja games. Hopefully they come to storm too.
I doubt Yugao will get in since she wasn’t in any CC2 games before (Clash of Ninja was done by 8ing and Tomy). Though if Kurenai, Anko and Shizune could get in to complete the PS2-era Ultimate Ninja roster, I’d really like that.

@kollie79 ok, think of it like this then: I dropped Boruto, so really the only characters left that I’m interested in are the pre-Boruto ones. And when there are three who used to be regulars in this same series of games, but have yet to show up in this spin-off sub-series, they become the obvious choices in my mind for pre-Boruto characters to bring back.
It's really cool that they showed that the Land of Waves Arc will definitely be in the Story Mode, I just hope that the battles against Zabuza and Haku would be proper boss fights with QTE sections
Tbh I’m glad they at least simplified the story mode a bit the free roaming in the later games was always a slog to get through so I prefer the chapter selection at least
To this day some of the best fights in Naruto for me was between Kakashi & Zabuza, and Sasuke, Naruto & Haku, the brutality of it, the combat, holy crap it was one hell of a fight between the 3, to get that level of detail on this game, I hope that they can do that for us, give us the entire series, but make it more cinematic, and show accurate, we win fights that we're canonically supposed to, (if we actually beat them during the fight), we lose when we're facing someone who utterly wrecks us, and we draw when the fight calls for it, I need blood in this game too, no black goo like in the final battle between Naruto & Sasuke in Storm 4,lol.🤦♂️😅
I really wish they used more Kara members in the Ultimate because one of the reasons the Akatsuki Team Ult is so badass is every member (even Zetsu) goes in for a hit.
I think the only reason they didn’t was from the lack of anime animation for code and if it’s anything like dragon ball games, they probably aren’t allowed to extensively use anything manga that hasn’t been animated or approved

The Anime has actually shown off all of Code's movesets already. The Anime already adapted the Boruto and Kawaki vs Code battle, which pretty much showed everything we know Code can do. The only thing the Anime hasn't adapted is Code without his limiters. But this version of Code has not had a full fight in the Manga yet, so we don't know what Limitless Code can even do in the Manga.

Decent new additions but we still now need Cyborg AO and adulte Konohamaru as well as Chijuro 6th mizukage outfit and the 4th Tsushikage on the base roster so we can be settled (Code,Borushiki and other fillers or new timeskim character can come out later as dlc)

The portal Jigen uses, sends all members to the full grey area where the ultimate takes place. It was just that the stage they were on looked very similar to the area they warp to 😅

THEY NEED remake some old chars movesets. This guys have to make a new moveset for Hiruzen Edo tensei, Tobirama Edo Tensei, Jiraya, Tsunade, Itachi Edo Tensei, Base hashirama, Shirtless Madara and Yahiko/Nagato before criminal akatsuki. + They should add new chars like Transform momoshiki as a base form, transform Jigen, Anko, Kurenai and the 7 swordmist ninjas (old generation). Come one guys, devs, u know what we want, give US PLEASEE!!!
Probably it the first stage is the one you play on, the other one is the random one the use for allot of the specials lol. They should have used something like Konoha to make the change obvious.
So many missing ninjas....those who were stuck as support from Generations, missing boruto characters such as the ino-shika-cho of boruto, heck at this point we could have had those anime only characters since only the anime stuff is added in since not everyone reads the manga ((I don't either, but I wouldn't mind I mean Jump Force did it)) I know this gives them more for dlc but I feel they could have made it a rather interesting dlc for this game, use characters from previous naruto games, like Bando, Kagura, Toma, Komochi from clash of ninja rev 2, make this TRULY the biggest naruto roster crossing stuff from different naruto games as dlc. This is the 20th anniversary and it feels so not ever half baked but quarter baked. I'm not trying to whine like "Add everyone ever, ramen man, the bridge builder" no but I feel there are those who should have been in for story or because they are over do....Naruto means so much to me and it hurts every time we get something so minimal in terms of games and squeal series...

There's a unique story mode to the game in this one, and it's likely to go past momoshiki for the story itself, maybe even up to baryon Naruto vs isshiki
I know it's a little unpopular, but I hope they keep the cpu vs cpu mode, it was fun to do tournaments with all the characters and see who was the champion!
CC2 is really good in terms of Graphics, but when it comes to Content or even basic features they are always lacking. Kakarot still wont let you turn off numbers and doesnt have a proper NG+ Storm 4 still dont let you mute the Voice chat on PC and even in connections we still dont have basic SP content like an Arcade mode. Not to mention the bad Online all their games have.
The game still isn't going to beat the 'this could've been an update/dlc instead a full 60 dollar game' for me. Will admit though, delta looks hot here.

Custom lobbies not being available at launch is gonna be a problem for a lot of people. But I'm the only one I know in person who actually likes anime and anime games, so I always play Storm alone. Custom lobbies won't be a problem for me. I'll spend most of my time in ranked matches after finishing the main story and the Boruto story
Yea i only play ranked...the problem is it looks like we cant select our opponent anymore we fighting now only vs players with the same rank like in demon slayer

Like, if I see someone max level join my lobby, I just think to myself: "Do you really not have anything better to do than play against someone you know you'll beat?" Not that I'm a beginner, I have 500+ hours, and I'm on around 20,000BP so playing against someone who has 90,000BP isn't really a fair match lol
This is ...kind of a bummer is the hope that people should be excited about getting characters like Shikadai Sumire Deepa Tsubaki Denki Iwabe Metal Urashiki Toneri Himawari(Genin) Adult Konohamru ChoCho Inojin Botan these are just the main stays (So many more amzing characters that should be playable) as Payed DLC At least Shikadia and Sumire yknow his best friend with a complete roster of Wind Style Jutsu or Sumire and Nue who are in the manga ... Deepa since there showcasing Kara Member and if not him Victor at the very least Hell wheres Jugo Curse Mark 2 if where shafting the actual Boruto represention at least bullshit since Konohamaru and Jugo fought in Boruto
@@SliferStreaming i’m pretty sure she didn’t. In the anime the last we see of himawari (besides code arc) is her in the academy with kawaki. Once kawaki’s mission is finished he leaves but himawari and her classmates are still there, and I don’t recall them saying anything about her graduating. It would also be too fast because we witness her first day in the academy during that same arc

What cc2 can do is why make so many skins but don't give them a different moveset they could easily do that with taka jugo 2nd State curse mark, taka suigetsu monster water form when he fought killer bee, and where's my toneri if they are showing us mitsuki sage mode thry have to put toneri in. I'm getting a feeling theirs more dlc coming along the way when this gets released. Like boruto is still ongoing and theirs so much team ultimates they can do that were left out or characters they can put in that we/they never thought of.
Damn I've hoped that we would finally get an Anko, Genma, Raidou, Ebisu or Hayate. Or some of the Sword ninjas. Just some older interesting characters that they left out every time. I am not really into these over the top characters. I mean we got Anko, Fu and Torune as supporter characters in the past so I hoped for them to come back as full playable at least.
I’m loving Storm connections so far, hopefully in the future we get more characters from OG Naruto and shippuden. I want this game to be the tenkaichi 3 of Naruto games.
It is a huge disappointment for all the community . not only they didn't add more characters but they had plenty of time to actually make a great story mode , add whatever characters were missing in addition to those 5 DLC characters . They don't have an excuse for their failure this time .
my brother in christ they are adding quite a lot of new characters and not to mention theres still the 2 original characters from the story and possibly something else before launch. already this game is shaping up to have more new characters on launch than storm 4 and thats not including the 5 dlc characters and possibly more further down the line after those 5. they are doing just fine.
I am very disappointed if this is the final roster for the game itself and rest are DLC. There's still 5-6 more characters I would have expected to be in the base game........ Guess ill just have to wait and see the DLC characters and prices. Sure hope they have made changes to old roster as for new ultimate and tweaks.... otherwise it's kinda wack :/
Nah, I doubt that is the full base roster. The game releases on november and I belive they will keep revealing new characters because all the other previous games had at least between 15-17 new characters on base. I bet we gonna get at least adult Konohamaru, new gen team InoShikaChou and the missing current kages Kurotsuchi and Chojuro.
I would say the same unfortunately they did change everyone’s moveset alittle (regarding the tilt attacks and 2nd jutsus) and the whole game features, so I wouldn’t be suprised this will be the base roster unfortunately.

7:50 my guess is that they’re supposed to teleport to that vacant wasteland, but the vacant wasteland was already the stage they were fighting on, so they just didn’t teleport anywhere. Respectfully, as a consumer, I don't think this enough. Hinokami Chronicles has a whole new roster with unique gameplay to esch character and the DLC characters were even MORE unique. The game was made to be balenced to be played competitively amd got constant updates to tweak fighters. Here, this just feels like 10 characters added but the other 120+ have had the same movesets since the PS3 era. I *personally* don't see myself using anyone of the new 10 announced so far, so to me, paying $60 to use the same characters I have been using already on the SAME terrible netcode is atrocious. Either overhaul older characters to make them "refreshing" (like how Street Fighter uses the same characters but tweaks them each game to make them feel like a new, but familiar toy), or overhaul the netcode to actually make this game fun to play it online. Don't leave it up to the community to make private servers when we are in an era of crossplay/netcode and you can't bring the bare minimum to the table. There are indie games lauching with better connection and crossplay for a smaller budget. TLDR: Do better, Namco Bandai/Cyber Connect2. We expect more from you.

Using a series llike street fighter is such a shit comparison since the "game" is their source material and they can update them so much easier since they have a significantly smaller roster each game while sometimes cutting characters. At least think about it before spouting nonsense.

I feel that there are still characters to be announced (Merz the ninja with a bandage and a strange Mangekyo Sharingan, Hikari (his partner who they say is Uchiha) Toneri Otsutsuki, Isshiki Otsutsuki? Anko, Kurenai (or unique characters like Sakumo or Menma Uzumaki) too I think you are going to see more season passes (just look what they are doing with Jojo's Bizzarre Adventure All Star Battle R)

I think the extra portal Jigen leaves behind might be meant for Code. Kinda like how Zetsu appeared in the Akatsuki team ultimate despite not being playable. Code can only travel through his claw marks, so Jigen would have to leave behind a portal for him to come through.
It was good in Rev, this time is better, will have fun with small details, hopefully now our 3 characters can rock the custom outfit and not only the 1st one seleceted

There are at least two new characters still coming in. Mertz and nanashi are two new characters from the original story Mode so they Will be also playable. And if the story mode does boruto stuff then since we have boro we should also be getting borushiki since they fought
A big thing for me that might be minor for other is I hope they redo some ultimate Justus for some characters. Some characters have really bad or boring ultimates because they go by too fast

No expansive open world, shitty and lazy menu based system for story mode, likely anime screenshots rather than 3D cutscenes, and probably no new boss fights. What a garbage cashgrab. We knew it was one, but man this is awful. I'm still gonna buy the CE tho. I am the problem.
Another game with spectating and customs is really concerning, it makes it so much harder to have events and make content for a given game, I hope they don't take to long to add those features.
Lets just hope they add, momoshiki updated skill and awakening, ishiki, urashiki, toneri, kakashi older look(like who doesn't wanna see purple lightning), orochimaru older looks, he got a couple i enjoyed his samurai look, dude was insane, bring zetsu as a playable character, naruto without the hokage cape, and sasuke without his cloak, as new added skins, like add fillerr characters most were on point and very strong it would be cool to have em around like who cares if it wasnt in the manga or main story, u cant say u dont want to have some great honorable characters who knows how to kick ass and had many movesets

Weirdly enough theres no Isshiki, Code, Eida, Daemon. . . Ok Eida and Daemon are not very active in fights even in manga so i can get that. But Code and Isshiki not playable? Hagoromo still not in game? Samui? I hope this season pass will give us som more exclusive characters.

Not sure if is the final base roster, for sure there will be other 5 characters in the dlc since the Collector edition contains 5 playable characters. I am already impressed by the roster, but I wished they added something extra like the characters from the movies. all the 7 swordsmen, or ninjas only mentioned from the past wars or previous and future kages. They could totally use the characters' pool that they (where Minato won) as a reference to see which ones fan are really looking forward and add or improve on those. about the features I really like the character customisation but it will be really hard to compete with a character creation which Street fighter offerend, which I find more intriguing. Probably will wait for the release to see how it goes and the future dlcs

Unpopular opinion but I think adding all of the supporting cast of Boruto would be dope and to have ultimate jutsus with there parents or like having a ultimate jutsus with there parents old team/sensei so like metal with rock lee and might guy or something along those lines

Boro is too raw. I might to squeeze him in. I haven't seen the anime Boruto and haven't seen all the characters. But I like that grab. I don't know who are the grapplers. But I know Ay has a power bomb. Plus he is strong on his own. I usually pick a grappler in a squad game. Then I can figure out the rest of the team. But Haku or Jugo is a must have and is permanent.

Important to notice where they say "rank match: .. according to your rank" I hope so much that really means that they finally made a matchmaking system where you can filter by rank. I'm tired of kicking players because the rank diference being too big, specialy when the same person keeps joining over and over.

I could swear they’re not doing anything extra in these 3 months and the game is ready and finished. They’re just sitting on it till Nov 17 because it’s a good release schedule from a business perspective and that’s it. Kishimoto never get involved in the game development except one time where he designed Itachi and Shisui perfect Susano in Storm Revolution. Maybe he supervised the anime episodes they did in that game as well but that’s it.

@kollie79 ok, think of it like this then: I dropped Boruto, so really the only characters left that I’m interested in are the pre-Boruto ones. And when there are three who used to be regulars in this same series of games, but have yet to show up in this spin-off sub-series, they become the obvious choices in my mind for pre-Boruto characters to bring back.
It's really cool that they showed that the Land of Waves Arc will definitely be in the Story Mode, I just hope that the battles against Zabuza and Haku would be proper boss fights with QTE sections

To this day some of the best fights in Naruto for me was between Kakashi & Zabuza, and Sasuke, Naruto & Haku, the brutality of it, the combat, holy crap it was one hell of a fight between the 3, to get that level of detail on this game, I hope that they can do that for us, give us the entire series, but make it more cinematic, and show accurate, we win fights that we're canonically supposed to, (if we actually beat them during the fight), we lose when we're facing someone who utterly wrecks us, and we draw when the fight calls for it, I need blood in this game too, no black goo like in the final battle between Naruto & Sasuke in Storm 4,lol.🤦♂️😅
I really wish they used more Kara members in the Ultimate because one of the reasons the Akatsuki Team Ult is so badass is every member (even Zetsu) goes in for a hit.

The Anime has actually shown off all of Code's movesets already. The Anime already adapted the Boruto and Kawaki vs Code battle, which pretty much showed everything we know Code can do. The only thing the Anime hasn't adapted is Code without his limiters. But this version of Code has not had a full fight in the Manga yet, so we don't know what Limitless Code can even do in the Manga.

So many missing ninjas....those who were stuck as support from Generations, missing boruto characters such as the ino-shika-cho of boruto, heck at this point we could have had those anime only characters since only the anime stuff is added in since not everyone reads the manga ((I don't either, but I wouldn't mind I mean Jump Force did it)) I know this gives them more for dlc but I feel they could have made it a rather interesting dlc for this game, use characters from previous naruto games, like Bando, Kagura, Toma, Komochi from clash of ninja rev 2, make this TRULY the biggest naruto roster crossing stuff from different naruto games as dlc. This is the 20th anniversary and it feels so not ever half baked but quarter baked. I'm not trying to whine like "Add everyone ever, ramen man, the bridge builder" no but I feel there are those who should have been in for story or because they are over do....Naruto means so much to me and it hurts every time we get something so minimal in terms of games and squeal series...

Kakarot still wont let you turn off numbers and doesnt have a proper NG+
Storm 4 still dont let you mute the Voice chat on PC and even in connections we still dont have basic SP content like an Arcade mode.
Not to mention the bad Online all their games have.
The game still isn't going to beat the 'this could've been an update/dlc instead a full 60 dollar game' for me. Will admit though, delta looks hot here.

Custom lobbies not being available at launch is gonna be a problem for a lot of people. But I'm the only one I know in person who actually likes anime and anime games, so I always play Storm alone. Custom lobbies won't be a problem for me. I'll spend most of my time in ranked matches after finishing the main story and the Boruto story

Damn I've hoped that we would finally get an Anko, Genma, Raidou, Ebisu or Hayate. Or some of the Sword ninjas. Just some older interesting characters that they left out every time. I am not really into these over the top characters. I mean we got Anko, Fu and Torune as supporter characters in the past so I hoped for them to come back as full playable at least.
I’m loving Storm connections so far, hopefully in the future we get more characters from OG Naruto and shippuden. I want this game to be the tenkaichi 3 of Naruto games.

Nah, I doubt that is the full base roster. The game releases on november and I belive they will keep revealing new characters because all the other previous games had at least between 15-17 new characters on base. I would say the same unfortunately they did change everyone’s moveset alittle (regarding the tilt attacks and 2nd jutsus) and the whole game features, so I wouldn’t be suprised this will be the base roster unfortunately.

Respectfully, as a consumer, I don't think this enough. Hinokami Chronicles has a whole new roster with unique gameplay to esch character and the DLC characters were even MORE unique. The game was made to be balenced to be played competitively amd got constant updates to tweak fighters. Here, this just feels like 10 characters added but the other 120+ have had the same movesets since the PS3 era. I *personally* don't see myself using anyone of the new 10 announced so far, so to me, paying $60 to use the same characters I have been using already on the SAME terrible netcode is atrocious. Either overhaul older characters to make them "refreshing" (like how Street Fighter uses the same characters but tweaks them each game to make them feel like a new, but familiar toy), or overhaul the netcode to actually make this game fun to play it online. Don't leave it up to the community to make private servers when we are in an era of crossplay/netcode and you can't bring the bare minimum to the table. There are indie games lauching with better connection and crossplay for a smaller budget.
TLDR: Do better, Namco Bandai/Cyber Connect2. We expect more from you.

Using a series llike street fighter is such a shit comparison since the "game" is their source material and they can update them so much easier since they have a significantly smaller roster each game while sometimes cutting characters.

I think the extra portal Jigen leaves behind might be meant for Code. Kinda like how Zetsu appeared in the Akatsuki team ultimate despite not being playable. Code can only travel through his claw marks, so Jigen would have to leave behind a portal for him to come through.
I think it's more likely that they're teleporting to another dimension, but because they're already on the other dimension it stays the same.
Lowkey the customization is a big W for me. More excited for that than the new characters.

No expansive open world, shitty and lazy menu based system for story mode, likely anime screenshots rather than 3D cutscenes, and probably no new boss fights. What a garbage cashgrab. We knew it was one, but man this is awful. I'm still gonna buy the CE tho. I am the problem.
Another game with spectating and customs is really concerning, it makes it so much harder to have events and make content for a given game, I hope they don't take to long to add those features.
Lets just hope they add, momoshiki updated skill and awakening, ishiki, urashiki, toneri, kakashi older look(like who doesn't wanna see purple lightning), orochimaru older looks, he got a couple i enjoyed his samurai look, dude was insane, bring zetsu as a playable character, naruto without the hokage cape, and sasuke without his cloak, as new added skins, like add fillerr characters most were on point and very strong it would be cool to have em around like who cares if it wasnt in the manga or main story, u cant say u dont want to have some great honorable characters who knows how to kick ass and had many movesets

Weirdly enough theres no Isshiki, Code, Eida, Daemon. . . Ok Eida and Daemon are not very active in fights even in manga so i can get that.
But Code and Isshiki not playable? Hagoromo still not in game? Samui?

Not sure if is the final base roster, for sure there will be other 5 characters in the dlc since the Collector edition contains 5 playable characters.
I am already impressed by the roster, but I wished they added something extra like the characters from the movies. all the 7 swordsmen, or ninjas only mentioned from the past wars or previous and future kages. They could totally use the characters' pool that they (where Minato won) as a reference to see which ones fan are really looking forward and add or improve on those.
about the features I really like the character customisation but it will be really hard to compete with a character creation which Street fighter offerend, which I find more intriguing.
Probably will wait for the release to see how it goes and the future dlcs
I’m still not sure if I want it yet. It still feels like updated Ns4 with a little more characters and original story.
Just get the game free you can get it free with dlc and everything and the mod version is way better

I highly doubt this is the final roster because if they were adding Boruto characters, it would be a Boruto story and we already seen Boruto vs Momoshiki in the trailer, so with that characters like Borushiki and Code should be in too
No this is not the final roster, they still have yet to even show the original characters from the story mode which are 100% gonna be playable. And possibly something before release.
Unpopular opinion but I think adding all of the supporting cast of Boruto would be dope and to have ultimate jutsus with there parents or like having a ultimate jutsus with there parents old team/sensei so like metal with rock lee and might guy or something along those lines
Have to love it when they release games with content cut just to release a dlc a month after and when a game really needs a dlc because of the little extra content years after its release they make a new version at an exhorbitant price.
Boro is too raw. I might to squeeze him in. I haven't seen the anime Boruto and haven't seen all the characters. But I like that grab. I don't know who are the grapplers. But I know Ay has a power bomb. Plus he is strong on his own. I usually pick a grappler in a squad game. Then I can figure out the rest of the team. But Haku or Jugo is a must have and is permanent.
Hopefully gold and silver brothers are in the game. I would prefer that over 10 new boruto characters.

Paid for the collectors edition as I have every one for the naruto games and man I'm hyped for a new storm game. Plus it cost £160 but with 1000pts from bandai reward scheme you can get the collectors for £127

Important to notice where they say "rank match: .. according to your rank" I hope so much that really means that they finally made a matchmaking system where you can filter by rank. I'm tired of kicking players because the rank diference being too big, specialy when the same person keeps joining over and over.

I still feel like we could get more characters revealed since the game still has about 3 months before launch. It would be kinda odd to not have the new original characters be playable from the story mode.

I could swear they’re not doing anything extra in these 3 months and the game is ready and finished. They’re just sitting on it till Nov 17 because it’s a good release schedule from a business perspective and that’s it. I’m sure the budget is cut by Bandai and no more effort is going to happen in the next couple months, otherwise they wouldn’t announce something stupid like the online missing features right now, bc you’d think they have enough time to fix it but nope, the development is done and no extra penny is going to the game until they get some sales.

Wonder if they worked with Kishimoto to maybe rework some of the more lesser played characters or shown characters? Probably not, but a man can dream, lol. Either way excited to have this come out.
Kishimoto never get involved in the game development except one time where he designed Itachi and Shisui perfect Susano in Storm Revolution. Maybe he supervised the anime episodes they did in that game as well but that’s it.
