Loved that first game, that no gg was for great justice, it just felt so right, the guy absolutely thought he had pulled off a succesful cannonrush and thought at minimum he'd be way ahead, he left immediately feeling that despair he had just been giddy over inflicting on you. That's what makes that game so satisfying, it's that giant pendulum swing from extreme highs to extreme lows and the just comeuppance he deserved. How quickly he left with no gg is how quickly his contentment was shattered Edit: Just watched it again, he's got 4 zealots with a couple more on the way against your 3 and thinks he's beaten you in zealot count and has the support of his cannons, he absolutely thinks this is in the bag. Chef's kiss
I have played thousands of hours of StarCraft 2, i have watched more. And, Thermy, you are not only the best SC2 content creator ever, you are on par with some of the best content creators of ALL games!! Top content, we are privileged to go on this journey with you 🤩
Two things: 1) I'd love to see a replay of the second game, I'd really like to see what the opponent was seeing/doing. 2) On the final game, the opponent (long time zerg player here) thinks that your were going for a couple of oracles plus adepts and the wall off is just to prevent the run-by. He thinks that you're going to pop the shield battery to get out and the lings are there to wrap around your adepts on the way across, kill them all with banes then run in with the remaining lings and kill workers. That's why he has a spore in each mineral line and at the front under the overlords. If you have a pylon out on the map it's easy for him to plug the front with more lings and the spore prevents the oracles from clearing the gate keepers. Speaking from my own experience, the reason why zerg shouldn't stick that overlord in your face even when they can get away with it is that it gives you a ton of information that you shouldn't normally have, and it makes you draw weird conclusions.
There’s a trick Florecio does with probes and minerals. where he fused them together, and once he’s in the enemy’s base he splits one off in the blind spot. make it look like the probe went home.
"surprise" is such a perfect name for this challenge. like i imagine the first guy being like "oh that's what you mean" Edit: an idea for compilation: there has been so many ridiculous moments like 7:20 where timing of what thermy's saying is so perfect with the gameplay. :D
You can try to shade apepts and if the timing of recall is right - they will be recalled to a relative position to the Nexus where they kinda have to be, when shade time ends. So, upon recall is completed, they will show up not next to the Nexus but somewhat further... I hope I explained it good enough :D
So, in other words, if the shade were, for example, "up 10 and left 7", then when shade time ends, it will try to reposition the adept "up 10 and 7 left" from wherever it happens to be at that moment. But if it's recalled, then it tries to reposition "up 10 and 7 left" in the middle of the recall reposition, and the two values get put together. So it will show up "up 10 and 7 left" from the spot it *would have* landed from the recall. Is that an accurate breakdown of what you were trying to explain?
I think they may have patched this out in the recent update. They mentioned getting rid of a similar bug involving using mothership recall and nexus recall together, and I assume the adept trick worked the same way. However they didn’t mention the adepts specifically, so your strat might still work
Cutting the Cybernetics Core (and Warpgate) to spend those resources on more gateway units is brilliant! Maybe include a probe in the Recall for building batteries / walling off his ramp? It feels vulnerable to a Voidray, but if he only has 4 probes at the end of your attack, he might not realize you can't build Stalkers.
Idea use a observer warp prism plus probe to build nexus on the other side 1 observer checks corner of a base and in case nothing is there bring a warp prism and probe and build in a later stage (a few minutes in / as early as possible)
The moment zerg is flying an overlord over your base you KNOW he's not doing a double ling drop because you need both overlords to do it effectively with lair investment.
I got an email from the adept you left behind - she wanted me to let you know that you didn't get every single unit in that recall, but she forgives you because it's always nice to have an adept at home.
I think you should do what is pretty much the same as the parting adept rush. Except the build the second Nexus across the map next to them or maybe even in their natural. Also build the proxy gate in same area.
Why am I looking at all these videos? Why? I havnt played SC2 in atleast 7 years.. Still this content is so good! If SC2 would cease to exist i think uThermal could stream anything successfully 😄
I love your games. Watching your second game, I was thinking that if you can start your expand maybe a minute or so sooner, you not only can hurt his economy harder sooner, but your economy won't fall as far behind initially.
You probably know that trick that can be used to mineral walk stacked workers to make it look like there's only one, maybe stack two workers and send them out as a scout and then subtly split one off to build the nexus while the other pretends to scout and leave.
It is the same day in Europe and Asia, I believe he is just using AM/PM time format instead of a normal one and it is just a mistake caused by this poor time format.
Did you know that you can recall units to high ground without vision with a nexus on the low ground? Units appear in the same arrangement relative to the nexus as they are relative to the recall aoe. So if, for example, the nexus was built on the low ground flush with the south wall of a main base you can recall making sure units are toward the top of the aoe graphic and they will recall to the high ground in the base.

Comeuppance. Learning a new word nice
I'd love to see his POV in replay. When realization sinks in.

agree 💯💯
i dont watch any other games. whats another good content creator of another game.
I agree with this message, I don't have as much hours of playing, but do have hundreds of hours of watching.. uthermy you're the best!!
tripple upvote, my thoughts too💯
No way! The 1am EST upload. This made my night. Thank you so much!
10pm west coast. Might as well do 3 uploads a day all bangers
YES EST REP
so happy to do a snooze to new uThermy
uthermal knew I couldn't get to sleep tonight and needed some sick content
yeah as a nightshift east coaster, I was pleasantly surpised.

How is it possible that your games just keep on getting better? Every upload builds more anticipation and more fun for me. Thank you very much Thermy.

Game two, "We killed 45 workers guys!" I like how "WE" get the credit for the kills as viewers. :)
Really fun episode. Loved how differently each one went, each with its own ridiculous trademark uThermal touch
"surprise" is such a perfect name for this challenge. like i imagine the first guy being like "oh that's what you mean"

That would be an amazing move to pull off.

Surely a recall would cancel the shade? Anything different is probably a bug IMO.

@@mrkisawesome7669 maybe, didnt check it myself. It is quite difficult to implement though, they could have left it as is, IMO :)
Crazy episode!
Second game is so much fun, love the way you warped you army on top of his base from different angles
4:28 is why i watch these vids. The unparalleled joy of Marc getting that Victory screen (or a loss) is invigorating
That Archon recall was genius!! We neeed to see more archon recalls because Archons are OP 😂
Caught me off guard with this timing upload. I really wasn't expecting it, guess I'll adjust my sleep path to counter it.
Surprise NA upload! Thanks for the good vibes, Marc!
Your actually doing a proxy nexus recall.😂 I’ve been asking for it the longest.
That first game has to be one of the highlights of the year.
This is by far the most entertaining episode so far, maybe of all time.
This cheese will age like a fine parmesan.
You could combine two Probes into one by mineral walking and then split one of in the fog of war so he doesn´t realize the proxy in his base.
What an absolute banger of an episode.
Idea use a observer warp prism plus probe to build nexus on the other side
1 observer checks corner of a base and in case nothing is there bring a warp prism and probe and build in a later stage (a few minutes in / as early as possible)
That 1st game was just pure gold!
Oh these were some beautiful games hahah. Always a blast man, thanks!
Perfect timing! Looking forward to checking this out!
The moment zerg is flying an overlord over your base you KNOW he's not doing a double ling drop because you need both overlords to do it effectively with lair investment.
That first game is just so perfect haha keep it up man these videos are amazing!
Every single game in this episode was a work of art
10pm California upload. Love it!!!
Was about to sleep but here we are (2:05am) Lets go! Really fun to watch this videos.
I got an email from the adept you left behind - she wanted me to let you know that you didn't get every single unit in that recall, but she forgives you because it's always nice to have an adept at home.
The instant surrender after the zealot recall was hilarious
Absolute disbelief on that recall strat, guess the opponent also had the same reaction.
I think you should do what is pretty much the same as the parting adept rush. Except the build the second Nexus across the map next to them or maybe even in their natural. Also build the proxy gate in same area.
ive watched this video 69 times already and can safely say its a certified uthermal classic!
Nice
that proxy nexus battery overcharge push is funny af
Great episode! Love that first game.
how did that second guy not BM? I felt salty just imagining myself in their shoes...
I don't know how you can be so good and talk at the same time. Every time I open my mouth, I lose half my brain power.
I was just craving a thermal video! perfect timing :-)
im not sure.. but did you use the chrono on the proxy nexus? in the second game?
dude youre so fun to watch, great checkmate
Nice surprise! Glad I stayed awake
That first game was jaw-dropping!
This episode should be called SURPRISE!
That first game is content gold, thanks
We could never see this coming... a really early (to North America) video release!
I love that you may be double posting. I love your content.
Let's gooooooo. 7 am upload from my favorite content creator :)
If your pylon is next to your proxy nexus you can get fast warp ins
Ok I knew thermy was a genius but that first game was like 3 billion IQ
Force fields in the mineral line with adepts.
He made that first game a bit hard for himself by not destroying that pylon at the top of his ramp, not sure why he left it there.
I love the recall shenanigans!
In the new patch is landed Viking attack also buffed? How about a throw back ESL tournament run with good ole penguin brothers
great episode man!
I love that he out cheesed the cheese on game 1
You probably know that trick that can be used to mineral walk stacked workers to make it look like there's only one, maybe stack two workers and send them out as a scout and then subtly split one off to build the nexus while the other pretends to scout and leave.
Omg it feels like christmas! What a game
I was WONDERING how I was gonna avoid sleep!
TBH in game 1 what if he does recall his zealots back to base to defend and he got more of them?
That first game was so satisfying
Have you done corner base to grand master?
Really fun episode.
Good timing on upload
That was one of my favorite episodes 😊
All sooo good, I’m a big fan 👏🏽
All 3 games absolute bangers!
This is crazy! You are a monster! LOL
Too many Artosis pylons in the third game!
Nice!
I will watch it before nite nite 😂
B a n g i n ' !
2am here but looks like sleep can wait
Yo that 45 workers killed hahahaha
quelling the peasant uprising in style
That first game was 200IQ
2nd, killing 1 worker every 12 seconds lol
Awesome episode 🙂
These games were so great :D
Very entertaining!
THAT FIRST GAME. LMFAOOOOOOOO
45 drones…Holy SHIT! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Game 3 = The Protoss Nydus :D
Such afun episode
Ohhh double upload dayy
Wha?!? All 3 games were the best yet!!
1st game was perfect against a salty cannonrusher he left with shame and no GG, 2nd match was a very Marc game, total mayhem.
Heeeellll yeah double dose of Thermie!
That's some serious cheese.
2nd thermy vid in a day, lets goooooo
TWO in a day!? Is this Christmas already?
It is the same day in Europe and Asia, I believe he is just using AM/PM time format instead of a normal one and it is just a mistake caused by this poor time format.
Wow... This proxy recall thing is unbelievably OP. Rebalance incoming lmao
I've been doing this since Hots.
You are a lovely person.
One Drone!🤣🤣🤣 Numero uno soon to be zero!
I wasn't sure why I stayed up late but now I have an excuse.
Let's go!
this was amazing lol
Sad that I can only like this video once.
