Thanks a lot, I just purchased mine. i am wondering which part is holding the most weight. Does it rest mostly on the top hooks? I am still a bit scared taking it on the highway
To me, it appears that the way it was built it evenly distributes the weight, but if I did have to honestly guess I would say the bottom portion is what holds most of the weight the top of the bike rack only keeps it stabilized as far as being in an upward position, but the majority of the weight is concentrated on the bottom portion. Sorry for the late reply, yes I was it’s a little bit of a play but the bearing that locks it in place needed to collapse fully in order for it to fold, after so many folds it gets better. Hope this information helped. Stay safe and sound and enjoy your rides.👍🏽✌🏽🚴
Thanks for watching and so far so good, I haven’t had any issues, and I actually lowered it a little bit lower down to not focus so much on the glass on my Kia cause I was slightly concerned. I haven’t hit any major bumps, except for your typical road construction and speed bumps but with that being said no issues. am pretty happy with this bike rack for the price and quality. It seems like a good deal as far as performance again I haven’t found any issues thus far. Ride safe, 👍🏼✌🏼
Ali, thanks for watching. I know this is more less intended for small SUVs or hatchbacks since sedans do not have that frame. I don’t believe this would work however, the company does make different styles that will fit sedans. Great video. For the pedal cover I used a golf club cover. And the padding at 19:09 I used a piece of a pool noodle.
