Ive had family members who nearly died there from stray boards back in the 70's and yes legropes were used by most of us back then but was always some mr cool who thought it didnt fit with the image, the latest hipsters woud have fitted right in..
People not wearing leg ropes in Byron is a big problem. This video only serves to set back local initiatives and awareness campaigns. Good going chumps.
Wow. Man must be so hard surfing in Byron! So glad you managed to stay positive! Taking your hipster surfing sooo seriously in 1 foot grovel. These people are worse than the millions at snapper who think surfings a competitive sport.
@@lockedout8643 lol are you the guy in this clip pushing people off waves and trying to stay positive while surfing? Hope I didn’t hurt your feelings but the only ones angry seem to be the ones in this clip
My dad got one of the first Mctavish original model in 1994 and it had four channels about a foot back from the nose! It caused my love for long boarding it allowed for serious long nose rides! I wish they’d bring that back!
Thanks for the groovy longboard action Tubesteak forever
Meanwhile the rest of the East Coast has come down out of the trees and evolved and even discovered legropes.

How about we talk about no leg ropes because we are all to cool now , and boards getting swept through the line up splitting heads ,
Yeah i think there is a case to be made by setting an example , and maybe a bit less self righteousness
It’s common on longboards for cross stepping
@@jordanmorrow4757it's common for anybody to fall off
If you’re going to surf leash less, you better not lose your board
These guys don't need leashes. Leashes cause more injuries than any other piece of surf gear
I can’t tell if this is satire or not 🤔
So cringe aye
