In the first loop she couldn’t hide her distaste at his tie, now she looks at it like it’s the most wonderful thing she’s ever received
This show is, without doubt, one of the best ever made. It's got such a powerful message and philosophy on life. The ending is such sweet melancholy. That's the only way I can describe it. Everyone comes full circle. Even the Door Man. This show is one of my all time favorites and it is such a comfort for me.
I know it's a subjective statement, but I think without a doubt this is the best TV show ever made. It is sheer perfection. It has everything you could want in a TV show.
This was such a great idea for an ending: keep learning, keep being busy, keep helping people. Also Tahani never finds a soul mate, and she doesn't need one: she's her own woman, looking for purposes and moving forward.
I think I would go with the direction Tahani went. Imagine, constantly being challenged to find new ways to help people for eternity, having your family and friends to be there when you need a break, and never worrying about money. That's gives life meaning, a challenge and a family to be their for you when you need to rest.
I'm rewatching the whole show with my mom (she is watching it for the first time). I just got 4 episodes left, and I'm watching these videos to cry alone and not in front of her, this show was absolutely great.
Honestly, I'm so proud of Tahani. For her whole life, she wanted to be noticed and liked by others, but forgot how to find her own purpose and meaning. So glad that she's becoming an architect because what made the previous system problematic was that the Good Place, the Judge, and the Bad Place didn't understand what it's like to be human.
This episode made me sob uncontrollably for days. Having to confront the idea of mortality and the inherent fleeting nature of the will to live is a lot to take in.
The 4th season of The Good Place is just so damn heart wrenching & breaking & downright hilarious, at the same time (someone tell me if I'm using any wrong words in this comment) I'm gonna miss this show sooooo much. I wish I knew what was waiting for me on the other side because I have a fear of the unknown.
The fact that it took her dying, being rebooted over 800 times and living in heaven for who knows how many thousand years to find it, kinda gives me hope
This was to me, the most important bit in the show. Everyone else accepted the 'you'll run out of things to do and want to cease to exist' argument because it seemed there really were just two options: stay in an eternal holding pattern or self-terminate. Tahani - almost surprisingly - found a third option.... be more. Tahani ended up representing hope and eternal optimism and the otherwise amazingly bureaucratic universe (literally) allowed it.
And untold Bearimy's later, Tahani has effectively become God. The only human to have done everything, seen everything, tried and mastered all skills and one of the designers of the afterlife
I feel like this scene was both beautifully thought through and also a kick in the emotional balls for some of us (mainly me) haha. It all comes back to the whole "Would you ever want to be immortal?" question that plagues us during slumber parties at our cousin's house; Tahani will be continuing on without her friends, and soon, without Michael (now that he's human). It's a consolation however, that Janet won't be all alone :'))))) Now if you excuse me, I'm going to go finish the season for the, literal, 6th time, and cry.
I am so glad that she didn’t go through the door. She is my favorite character and I don’t think I would have been able to handle it if she went through.
Glenn is a Bad Place architect!!! He was just a demon acting a part for so long and then a demon snitching on his boss and then goo... but look at him now.
He's working alongside Beadie, a known Good Place employee (she was the Good Place representative briefing Mindy St. Clair on her afterlife in the Medium Place), to boot. No wonder they decided to waive the Bad Place trials for the Soul Squad, if their actions caused this much good to happen.
After watching The Good Place, I really hope that their final take on the after life is what awaits me when I die. If I opened my eyes to that classic room and Tahani opening a door telling me to come on in, I wouldn’t hesitate. I don’t care what sort of tests awaited me from there.
You can literally see and hear Adam Scott’s character Trevor who played the bad place demon fly across the screen at 1:20 in to the video from when the judge flung him across the void
I love all of the endings of team cockroach, chidi is sure of himself, elanoar found a way to reconcile with her mom, jason found someone who appreciates him and tahani found a way to help other people

I love that nearly every significant character through the series makes an appearance or is at least mentioned (including Trevor - 1:19)
I love how everyone at this point is so used to Tahani name dropping people that they're perfectly in sync
I'm literally been shipping Eleanor and Tahani since beginning of series but this, was very amazing part of the show
I love it. Really didn’t see it coming. But was expecting Eleanor became a architect while Michael a human
1:19 Trevor coming full circle lmaoo
YESSS
We gotta ask how many Bearimy's it takes him to circle
The chuckle at 0:21 is my favourite thing of recent times
This episode made me sob uncontrollably for days. Having to confront the idea of mortality and the inherent fleeting nature of the will to live is a lot to take in.
The 4th season of The Good Place is just so damn heart wrenching & breaking & downright hilarious, at the same time (someone tell me if I'm using any wrong words in this comment) I'm gonna miss this show sooooo much. I wish I knew what was waiting for me on the other side because I have a fear of the unknown.
This show is perfect
Agreed. It might be the best TV show I've ever seen, and that's up against some pretty stiff competition.
Brent is still taking his test, I'm not surprised
i just realized that the bow tie Michael gives to Tahani is the same one he wore in the pilot episode
I loved Tahani’s conclusion in this episode.
A wonderful clip but the audio description is on
YEAH why does this keep happening???'
@@hajreesha1 Copyright maybe? But that doesn't make any sense.
@@AndiLang8146 It's their own show, so copyright issues are unlikely.
Just pretend it's Janet Narrating and it'll be OK
It’s for blind people
The bow that Michael gifts Tahani, is the same one he wore on the first episode!
I was just about to write that is this it, has NBC released all the clips when I saw this and it made me so happy!
NBC good place, keep posting stuff
And untold Bearimy's later, Tahani has effectively become God. The only human to have done everything, seen everything, tried and mastered all skills and one of the designers of the afterlife
Tahani is the sophisticated Karen with that "Don't make me talk to your Manager" 🤣
if my life was narrated like that:
me: begins to cry
narrator: she failed math class
Awww... Tahani and Janet working together would be awesome.
It's a consolation however, that Janet won't be all alone :')))))
Now if you excuse me, I'm going to go finish the season for the, literal, 6th time, and cry.
Curse this show for making me feel things
It makes all of us feel things!
Good for her! The only one who didn't give up.
I am so glad that she didn’t go through the door. She is my favorite character and I don’t think I would have been able to handle it if she went through.
From Tahani-silky dresses to Jameela-silky suits.
“i take mine with non dairy neutrinos” that made me laugh so hard!
We need a show with Tahani as the architect for Michael
Of course Brent is still in the testing phase
Kinda glad to see Brent trapped for eternity in... whatever the hells going on there.
An endless sexual harassment course?
Glad Tahani decided to say. U should take ur time enjoying infinite time by doing what u love with the people u love.
that tie is absolutely amazing
Creative work at its best, fun cast, learning has never been so good 😂
Forever grateful for the real good place 🤗
I'm going to miss this show
Glenn is a Bad Place architect!!!
@@Landis963 , this fills me with even more good feelings... I now want to cry again.
and then here you got me cryin again
After watching The Good Place, I really hope that their final take on the after life is what awaits me when I die. If I opened my eyes to that classic room and Tahani opening a door telling me to come on in, I wouldn’t hesitate. I don’t care what sort of tests awaited me from there.
1:11 the entire good place community: OOOHHHH
The ending is so good and satisfying 😍😍😍
I watched every episode about three years ago in the space of two weeks or so.
I can't remember any of it----thats what binge watching does !!
good spinoff idea: micheal’s life test with mindy while tahini is the assigned architect on her first official job
I usually listen to the show with audio description so just want to shout out the people who make it cause it's useful as heck and I love it
Eleanor ❤️ Chidi
Jason ❤️ Janet
Tahini ❤️ Her Job
You can literally see and hear Adam Scott’s character Trevor who played the bad place demon fly across the screen at 1:20 in to the video from when the judge flung him across the void
how does micheal look evil and good at the same time ?? they did a pretty great job casting
Please make a tour of the good place set. I want to see every little detail!!!
YAY! We get to see Glenn again! I missed him!
1:19 poor Trevor still zooming around the Void. He's the only one who didn't get a happy or hopeful ending.
The only one who lived out of the four 😭
At least Janet will be with Tahani
I liked that one of them chose not to go through the door. And Tahani totally rocks that suit.
ok i know it's been 4 years but can we have a spinoff of tahani designing the test for micheal 🥺
I love all of the endings of team cockroach, chidi is sure of himself, elanoar found a way to reconcile with her mom, jason found someone who appreciates him and tahani found a way to help other people
