I was a kitchen helper, head of kitchen & chef back when managing 3 days of programme in a campsite for secondary school students. Fun & struggle preparing at least 3 meals a day were unforgettable experiences.

Maybe after this blimey can buy small bbq grill that using carcoal to grill satay. Its much easy than using grill pan and satay will taste more smoky & delicious 😊.
you should have used the flat grilling pan for the samgyeopsal to grill those satay 😅 using that pan is a torture 😂 but still good work guys 👍

Here's some tips for satay... Use grill with charcoal... So, even the satay looks a bit burn the taste is maintain and the meat cooked well...

For the the future reference, it is better to use grilling pan to cook the satay instead of frying pan.

Actually, you should press the rice a little bit more (while it still hot) until you can't see the gap between each grain of rice to make a 'well done' prepare *Nasi Impit*...
The best way to make a large portion of nasi impit is by laying the rice on a large surface such as a large tray (bigger the better) and then cover it with a thin plastic before you press it using a large enough flat surface object; such as another large tray. The plastic will help preventing the rice sticking onto the 2nd tray (in kampung, people usually use a banana left)
and as a good practice, you should let the presssed rice to cool down to a room temperature before slicing it into small pieces.

Satay should be grilled with charcoal and sprinkle oil infused with lemongrass that's part of the flavour.. It's also faster cooking that way since you can cook alot (depending on your grill size) 😉
