The Kentucky Adventure Tour (KAT) was the toughest terrain we've ever ridden and it was really hot and humid. Stay tuned for the KAT series coming soon.
Thank's for sharing this. I wore a bullet proof vest for many years when I was in Law Enforcement after I broke my back. Believe it or not. The vest helped my back tremendously when getting in and out of the patrol car on traffic stops or standing a long time. I never thought of getting a vest like yours for adventure riding until seeing this video. Thanks for the input. I will look into getting one after seeing this. Be safe out there and keep hammering the shit out of it.
I’ve been using the same Ogio Flight Vest for at least 10 years. It’s THE ONLY WAY I’ve found to carry an accessible handgun. I carry a spare magazine, leatherman, tools, fuel, zip ties, etc. I often wear mine over an old Thor Aftershock chest protector. If you ride at a fast pace and ever lawn dart, all crap you carry can/will drive you into the ground like a dead blow hammer. The chest protector shoulder pads might give your clavicle a sporting chance.
@@TheBeardedGrump I carry in the front right pouch. My belly is squishy and the pocket is outside the chest protector. I have an old beater Glock 27 with road rash already, so it’s the perfect trail gun. There are drug runners in the wilds of Arizona.
Greg, u reading my mind😅. Been holding off buying this vest. Been in my shopping cart for a while. Great review and timing 👌. Have to find the ktm one...never seen that. ✌️
I couldn't find the KTM one anywhere. I got lucky on this one and got a super deal on it. I saw that the Alpinestars one is on sale on Amazon for $99 I put the link in the description
Personally, I can not enjoy myself on the ride if I’m loaded down like a pack mule. If I can’t find a spot on my bike for something, I don’t take it. I do wear a hydration pack, the smallest one that I could find, because I HAVE to have water, even between stops, but I never carry any more than 2L. But, I’m sure there are a lot more people out there like yourself that this is appealing to. I would had been more inclined to use something like this in my younger days, but not today.
That's the beauty about riding everyone has their own way of doing things. I have to carry a little more than some because I film stuff for UA-cam but I also carry things because I want to be comfortable and prepared for my piece of mind. This feels way better on my back now that it has been broken so that's a huge plus for the me
Some of my enduro crew have switched to vests(WLF brand) from Klim Nac Paks. One loves the vest and has sworn off back packs. The others like them but are still deciding. I like the idea of having things easily accessible in the front pockets but since I'm not ADV riding weight is not really an issue. So I'm on the fence about buying one....plus I'm worried a vest will make me look fat....🤣😂
I’ve got the similar FOX version vest & really like it but find myself not using as much as I thought I would…now after seeing your video maybe I’ll break it out again lol
I forgot to mention the Fox version lol. I didn't know if I would actually wear it or not but for what I paid for it it was worth a try. Surprisingly I really like wearing it
It's definitely not for everyone but I like it a lot better than a standard hydration pack. This vest is far more comfortable than a standard backpack. It puts a whole lot less stress on my back and it's good practice to have plenty of water on hand where and how we ride.

Nice shirt, Greg!!! 😁 - Chris
😊👊
Thanks. Great advice.
No problem. Thanks for watching 👊
Great review Greg
Thanks Terry.

No problem. It worked great. They have the Alpinestars vest for $99 on Amazon right now which is a great deal. I put the link in the description
A pocket for a back protector would make this pack even better.
Looks like a pretty good piece of gear. Glad it has been working well for you
Man it's a huge blessing for my back. Glad I had plenty of water on this trip. The heat was brutal.
I have the MSR Rover vest and really like it. The built-in holster is also a plus.
It looks like it would be a great vest. It's the one I was going to buy until this one popped up.
@@TheBeardedGrump All of them look pretty good.
@@underthedrone2735 I agree
I think I will get one, I hate taking my pack off constantly to access things.
I've been using it for the last few months and I love it. I'll never go back to a backpack style hydration pack again

I always carry but I don't carry on my person. I try to keep anything that I don't want to land on somewhere on the bike.

I was on the fence too but now that I've worn it I will never go back to a backpack. It's the perfect solution for someone like me with back issues.

It's like baby products.
Say it's for a dirt bike, and it costs triple.

Definitely
Now your like a ktm kangaroo
🤣
Doesn’t look comfortable to me I don’t even like the feel of an airbag vest! I guess I’m not a a real ADV rider.😳
