To hear another young guy talking about their love for Atomic Rooster is a rare but fulfilling thing! Great video and thanks for the mention :) - Jake

1970s music can't be beat. It's great to see someone young like yourself appreciating my music decade. I finally got around to doing my 2024 vinyl tag this week. I think we have similar tastes.

I wasn't gonna say anything originally but 2 of our answers were the same (nearly 3 but I didn't pick Pet Sounds for the album cover) as I also chose Sgt Peppers for the one everyone should have and The Doors self titled for Greatest Hits. That album is spectacular. Your decade answer is probably the smart answer due to the variety that you mention. The tail end was also the beginning of the New Wave movement too so you get hints of the 80's in there as well as the punk/ post punk emergence.

Great record collection for someone your age. It's great to see appreciation of the past. Waiting for the second part of your Dad's 7 inch collection.

Hi Fella, first of your videos I’ve watched and will definitely go back and watch your unboxing of your dad’s singles video. I used to visit Carlisle a lot with work and used to visit and second hand records shop/cafe near the Cathedral, can’t remember what is was called but it used to be full Psychobilly stuff. Must go back some time. I’m subbed so looking back and watching more. Andy

Hi, interesting video. New subscriber here. Some great choices. Looks like you're an 'old soul' musically for a young bloke. Great to see you delving into the classics. I want to check out your Dad's singles video as I collect 45's myself. Cheers mate 👍

Carlisle - I lived in England for a couple years in the 90s but never made it to Carlisle or the lake district. Always wanted to get there. "Geordie's" are from Newcastle, right? or is Cumbria still considered "geordie-land?" I'll have to check out more of your channel. 60's and 70's are my favorite decades too

I agree with you on the 60s/70s dialogue. I love a lot of 60s songs, but not so many albums. The seventies, as you said, have way more variety. I feel like the 70s was when rock music really matured.

I enjoyed your video and that is some great music you have there too!
I had to kind of laugh when you mentioned 1974 and not having anything you could think of from that year to show. I was thinking along those same lines trying to remember what came out in 1974. Had I not listened to an album, and it is a recent remaster and re-release that I have, of Scorpions - Fly to the Rainbow yesterday, I don't think anything would have popped in my head. This was their debut album in 1974 and I had never even heard of it until the re-release campaign this year or maybe late last year. It is really a great album too. I typed 1974 in my Discogs account to search my notes and saw that I did have some more 1974 LPs. But I just don't have near as many for 1974 as I do for 1973 or 1975 even haha.
Great video and I subscribed to your channel and look forward to seeing future videos!
