this album was so freakin ahead of its time
It still sounds like the future to me 🥲
The scratching on analog wormz attak blows my mind
Shout out DJFabienFeadzPianta
I can smell the synthesizers smoking from here
the smell of burning ms20s
I smell my sub.
Tons of smells there
Great stuff smells
Best albums smell like synths
A timeless classic, big influence on my music taste
Mine as well. I always put this record on those "lists" people make.
I blast this on a boombox on my shoulder at music festivals and people reconize it whoop whoop
this whole album is just synthesizer abuse
damn right it is
Too bad Mr. Oizo went from analog to digital the next album. It completely killed that sound. *This* album is one of a kind!
fave form of abuse
This comment is just comment section abuse
okay
One of my fav electronic music albums
One of the best albums ever. Been sampled so often and never knew it was Mr. Oizo until a year ago. Good job, bruv.
This is the album if you want to really show off your new sound system
best boombox blastin album out there
do you guys happen to know some real good songs/albums or artist that make something similar to this? (doesn't really matter the genre, I just want to hear some good sh1t)
@@ELjoakoDELxD not exactly like this - but DJ Q-Bert, Czarface, DJ Krush albums are good ones
I was out on a walk and found a box of a bunch of CD's. Brought it home obviously, went through them and saw this, I just liked the way it looked so I put it on. Pretty cool.
how lucky
Found this album in a discount among cheap Cds,paid it 5€,the most useful 5€ ever paid..
This album has probably changed my view on the world more than any other. It fits everything and is very James Bond. It sounds tuned for a car stereo buzz, but also perfect on headphones. Constant playfulness. Perfect for watching strangers and quickly thought-shifting what they must be thinking about and smiling as a father yells at his children while you order a taco at the mall food court. Then your tear open the apple and the beams of conformity come crashing down into an earth shattering nothingness because time has slowed, with a bit of reverb, to delay the inevitable, and seeing the complexity of lightning and how we're made of it and we all sleep close to one another to exchange energy in our sleep while driving our metal boxes made by a shoe-designer is perfectly encapsulated I have to pick up my kid from school.
I feel like I agree with the "metal boxes made by a shoe-designer" part but I don't fully understand why.
Retard
Exactly.
Duuuuddde! I heard a track of this album on a small college radio station in like 2000 or something. It blew my mind. I drove straight to the record store and bought the cd-may be my best purchase ever!!
Part of this accidentally started playing in the background quite low and it took me a minute to realise my stomach was not just going wild
Discovered this now in 2020. I love it
Better than never. I know it from the beginning and it still blows my mind. And damages my speakers.
Got it as a bootleg in 99 from Estonia. Since then have bought this several times. Still missing the vinyl tho. One of those records that has affected me and my tastes in music so much. I don't know how I can't get tired of it.
No Day Massacre is goes so fucking hard
i have that in vinyl 😊
go spastic!
That bass on "Sequel". Damn. \m/
Still banging my car speakers in 2022
I’ve been listening to a lot of aphex twin, squarepusher, the prodigy. And I came across this masterpiece! My favorite album now!
Волшебник.
Man the hip-hop style pop is so much more prevalent.
Who ever starts sampling his work could come up wit some amazing things here.
As far as this originator I always love to have an open ear and where ever he takes it I know it could be amazing and his own.
ive been wanting to do this album n other older analog songs of his in a 3 peice band somebody on electruc drum kit, electric bass and synths n a dj for some songs
Timeless!
Thanks for sharing!!!
thanks quentin - seriously brother, thank you. 20 years later and still boppin my head
Been wanting to hear this lately & POW! Here it shows up under a video I watched of an interview with my friend's kid. Tenuous connection really but real swell to find. That's why I always scroll through the suggestions: lots of misses but lots of bull's-eyes. This is definitely the latter! I hadn't heard it since MySpace if that tells ya how long it's been!
So solid start to fīn. Oizo gets high marks from me in general for the whole record but especially for the Kool Keith sample in Analog Worms Attack. Skillful execution. Surely Kool Keith feels the same way??
Thanks for posting this up on here. Made my day. Love infinity!
Крутяк,особенно некоторые треки,благодарю.
08:50 dope stuff
This album changed my outlook on music when it came out. Never been the same since.I started hearing this type of sound selection in main stream hip hop shortly after and was hooked.
Demasiado bueno! Saludos desde Costa Rica, continúa cosechando éxitos. 🙋♂️

damn these are some dope beats, got dalek vibes
14:51 got me going back twenty-plus years to some Plastikman throwin' down on his 303. Dig it. \m/ \m/
A lot of stuff in this album reminds me of all the music I used to listen to at that period. Plastikman included. I hear a lot of similar techniques and stuff also used in dnb that came right at that time and after
I'd say this album influenced many hip hop producers. The sound selection is epic, esp for the time.
I swear I hear a "bruh" at the start of Monophonic Shit
@@citruuus867 but mee too i can here it
If not mistaken, the Korg MS-20 had a major role on this album.
потрясающий!!
im addict to this medicine
One of my all-time favorite pure abstract/electro/experimental/ hip-hop album, with so many bangers...flat eric's tune isnt even that good compared to the whole project, i would so love seeing how the whole project was recorded and on which instruments or softwares...awesome and magic
♤♡♡♡◇♧
analog worms attack my brain fuuuuuuuuuuk
Gold!
fucking incredible
I can absolutely hear the proto-dubstep sound, and this is 1999
Mr. oizo was WAYYY ahead of his time it's nuts.
@@Abel-Alvarez I still don't think anyone's quite caught up!
@@CaneCompany Dude Mr. Oizo, Aphex twin, Burial, DJ shadow, The avalanches, etc. Are always ahead of the curve idk how they do it.
@@Abel-Alvarez This album was not ahead of its time At all, never was, this is actually pretty simple and "basic" electronic music even for late 90s, very simple distorted monophonic synthesizer sounds, and its the simplicity of it that makes it very enjoyable to listen.infact this entire album sounds it was made on one afternoon, and its great. Im afraid your attempt to overrate and over romanticize this causes you to totally miss the point of this album
@@Abel-Alvarez omg he passed a monophonic synth thru a filter LFO, woah, so ahead of its time! its like insane...
This is gonna be well wicked!
Bring your backup.

At this moment I got addicted to the shit from 32:45 min on....🙈🙉
huge fan. shame he didn’t stick with this sound. & i have yet to find any other album that sounds like this from anybody. can someone point me in the right direction????
Aphex Twin gets close. Not very, but close
@@Livingeidolon i’m very familiar with Richard. this album has such a unique sound i have never heard replicated or explored! shame! has anyone told oizo this???
@@aliveormedicated search the genre 'illbient' and you'll find some stuff similar to this. Not exactly the same but there was a little scene for this kind of stuff in the late 90s

В твоей коллекции не хватает Дельфинчика альбом "Глубина резкости" , толи это музыка, толи изрядное употребление алкоголя меня навела на эту мысль.
Алкоголь, всё же гадкая субстанция,.
😆
in my collection the 02 Monophonic shit begins with a dialogue between a woman and a man:
- oh, I can't stand it.
- what is it?
- oh, it's my [stomach]
I saw it in a movie, but I don't know the name. it is an old black-and-white movie. what movie is it from?
