Dalian Atkinson (RIP) practically won this cup for Villa on his own. Scored so many valuable goals in this cup run. Was the hero in both Semi-Final legs against Tranmere Rovers (last minute goal in the second leg blew the roof of Villa Park) And of course he scored opener in the final. Was a quality player. Was massive but he was lightening quick and could charge with the ball into pen from the half way line. Such a good player.

Argh! I remember that goal. It was the match, Ian Wright scored the first goal after Arsenal went on a streak with a few 0-0 results in a row! I was pleased Wrighty scored till we blew it when Townsend scored the winner at the end.
