The fastest, safest and least time consuming way to make a few million fast is through the Marketplace, by using actual money to purchase Catalyst and Nth Metal Detectors and selling them on the broker. They normally sell for a few million each on any given day. But the best time to sell them is during a double XP event, they sell faster and sell for more than the usual amount. If you just want to grind for it though, stuff from older DLC's sell pretty good as well. For example, I keep like 17 toons at the Deluge level(for source marks) so I run it daily and some of the standard base items that drop from that content sell for up to one million dollars each, and you get a chance at one for every mission you play. Anyhow, a little story about my start in DCUO and how I make money now. The reason I subbed back in 2014 was because I enjoyed making money. I had finally made my first million and I was super excited, I took a break to eat lunch and watched some DCUO livestreams and ended up seeing Britteny's stream.. She had just over one billion dollars and it blew me away, but motivated me even more.. It took like 3 years, but I eventually surpassed that goal, on multiple toons. So nowadays I use that money to make money, I stock up on items that are not coming back into the game and hold on to them to sell them later when their value increases. I also buy TC gear in bulk when whales spend $1,000 on opening TC's, then sell pieces individually for a few million each. I also save up on styles that drop from TC's, such as materials, auras, trinkets, etc. So with all that, most of the sales I make on my main are in the millions(I sold 5 auras for about 300m yesterday and spent that on more TC gear in bulk) and anything that sells for lower than 50k I put for just $1 on the broker just to get rid of it and potentially help someone out that doesn't have 50k to buy it. I also buy stacks of like 50 stacks of soders and put them up for $1 each as well, usually when someone is asking for soders in chat and I will let them know so they can purchase as much as they want for as cheap as possible. But she gets a lot of hate as well, usually in game because they have played with the devs multiple times back in the day and the most active dev was actually in their league for a while. So many accuse them/her of cheating, getting help/money from the devs, etc. I don't know about all that stuff, they seemed alright to me. Anyhow, her Twitch name is pretty much just Britteny, just 'Britteny_'. She doesn't stream too often anymore though. Edit: Her name looked off now that I see it again, but I just checked it now. Awesome info but I don't agree with spending money on those items from the marketplace. It's not worth it at all and just opening a few time capsules will get you the same amount if not more for free. The easiest method to making money is what u explained later. The more money you have the faster and easier it is to make tons of money. For example I bought 5 black hole accessories for 80-100mil last year and now each is worth 3-4bil. It's pretty rare for the price to go up that much but usually the price of rare items do go up quite a bit if you hold them for 6 months to a year and beyond that its not worth it unless you are planning to sell it like 3-4 years later for probably double that but the return isn't as great as if you sold it earlier and bought the newer rare items.

As the chances of getting really valuable stuff from Time Capsules is pretty low. And we are currently in the end phase of the current TC, meaning everything has peaked in value and the majority of the items in the current TC are selling at an average to low asking price and only the really rare stuff has any good value to them. If you wanna go the TC route, its best doing so when a TC first comes out as pretty much everything you get is worth millions because people want it all asap. But yes, it is not worth the money trade off, especially so for players that already have hundreds of millions to billions already. Also had someone ask us what time capsule is the way to go to best make money? Answer is either Dark Multiverse for the chance at the good collections or neon chroma, or Atlantean Time Capsule as it has expensive collections, and a nice rare drop. The two collections at the top the bubbles and bioluminescent material each sell very high. That being said it is very difficult to get any of these. The best time to get expensive collections is when we get a Resurgence Time Capsule you spend 7 stabilizers and it opens 9 time capsules. If you get lucky during this event, you COULD choose to sell it then or wait long after the event and sell it for double helping you make billions. Good luck.

Ah, I thought we were both going to make this video. I'll post my suggestions here: When it comes to making money in dcuo, the biggest aspect is price is determined by grind for an item. A collection from Age of Justice or other DLCs is difficult to get and causes people to farm and grind to get them, so you can work the broker to sell the items high. Lazy people take the easy option, they have money, they see something they need they buy it, regardless of how to get the item. Seasonals are a great way to make money, just wait out about a seasonal or two to throw yours on the broker to make money. There are some seasonal items that are required to get the feat like specific base items such as the 2013 base items from Halloween seasonal or a collection on the vendor of the sewsonal. When the seasonal is long gone those prices will go up...why? Because it won't be available anywhere in game other than the broker. Nth metal detectors and nth metal caches are HUGE items to make money off them especially around Double Artifact week. I do have to disagree with Multiverse about WHEN to sell an item...never go on a Thursday. Reason is reset day if you got your spark of the skyland head mod catalyst from the raid wait till around Sunday or Monday. You wait out everyone else to sell on the Thursday or Friday as they cause prices to go down...towards the end of the week the prices will go back up and thats the perfect time to sell them. Next, UNDERSTAND WHAT IS VALUABLE IN A DLC, people pay big for items that are grindy and difficult to get...ie New Genesis Seed and Spark of the Skyland. They can be found in the Wonderverse dlc solo, alert, raid. It helps to have alts to better your odds. Lastly, Nth Metal exobytes are always a decent item to make money from.

Yeah I honestly believe everyone should be running an nth metal detector whenever they play. You are going to be killing things anyway so might as well get paid for it. I always load up on detectors when they are at 4-6 mill on the broker. Just selling 2 or 3 of those caches can pay for the detector. So you can either keep the extras for artifacts, or sell them all. I rarely get less than 5 caches, off one and they all add up. Detectors also boost your regular, account bound nth metal drops. So it also vastly speeds up the artifact grind in my experience.
@@Stizzfoshizz it may require you to spend money in game to get those detectors but the great thing about those are they tend to go for around 3 to 5 mill. The caches drop as you run content you get about 6. They go for about 1-2 mill each....does everyone see the profit here? LOL
@@NixBlackMask it is an investment that everyone should be making imo. The least amount of caches ive ever gotten is 4 which even selling the caches at 2mill each, you should still come out ahead with 2 mill profit plus all the extra account bound drops you get. Last double xp weekend i was selling full stacks of 999 caches for up to 500mill on the first night. It dropped like a stone back to like 2-300mill a stack of 999 by the next night though. The best part is it requires zero irl money. This is just one of the constant revenue streams though. The rare collections and styles are just cherries on top of the cake for me. I'm not mega obscenely rich like some of the guys I know. But with zero rare drops and just flipping broker items I can usually get close to 100mill in an hour or two of playing. On Thursdays sometimes more
If you just kill the ghosts and don’t save the trick or treaters in the Halloween event mission you can farm the entire “pumpkin by any other flame set” each piece goes for 1.5 + million.
That always happens when seasonals start, they add the current seasonal collections to the available drop rate lists for normal collections and it makes normal collections drop rates even more rare. It will be going back to normal when the seasonal ends in November, but start again in December for the Xmas seasonal and it wont stop until like April because it goes Xmas seasonal, Anniversary event, Vday event, St Patty event, then Spring, Summer and back to Halloween. EDIT: This is what I was told on the forums years ago at least.

No you don't get your deposit back if the item does not sell. As for prices.... depends on the server. Also.... prices on the Broker changes all the time. ;)

Running all the missions and farming styles, base items, marks, nth metal, and other drops is a multiple reward use of your time. Of course you could farm collections also but if you don’t want to put a lot of time just check broker on all mission drops you get.
Yes.... farming takes time.... which is why many do not want to farm. That people do not want to farm is fine. But if people do not farm.... then they should not complain that they do not have money if they are not willing to farm to earn money.

Yea ive noticed the collections arent spawing like before especially for the miraculous cape and in steel works so its deff not just you good sir.
