I was 5 years old when Sesame Street premiered, so Bob McGrath was a HUGE fixture of my childhood. He was an amazing, kind, and beautiful man. ❤️
I was born in 1963 - grew up on this and Zoom (we're gonna Zoom Zoom Zooma Zoom)
RIP Bob McGrath. Being born in 1964, I'm first-generation Sesame Street. I will certainly miss him! 😢
Born in 65 and gotta say it was my favorite when it had all the original cast, how about Finnegan and Casey on Mr Dressup or Gerome the Giraffe 🦒 on friendly giant ✌👍😊
62 here. Sesame Street and the Electric Company were very instrumental in my reading and math. Grover always reminds me of the kid who's on a sugar rush.

Sesame Street introduced me to James Earl Jones.
His eyes & voice were captivating to me as a child...
Such fun shows! 🙂
Rest in peace for those who died on the first week of December. So sad Bob McGrath passed away. We'll miss you Bob. And Kirstie Alley you will never be forgotten. Kirstie Alley was amazing as the tooth fairy in toothless. Bob McGrath is with Emilio Delgado
To the gentlemen mentioned here, thank u for ur sevice
Kirsty Alley, was a big shock to the system, as was Irene Cara. This year took away many many great celebrities.
RIP to all who passed this year. God bless u all.🎄🕊✝️
I love the way this site treats the deceased with the dignity they deserve. They also treat all mentioned whether very famous or nearly famous as equals. One of the best sites on the 'Net. Thank you.
Kirstie Alley was one of my favorite actresses, and so beautiful. She was great at everything and had perfect comic timing. I loved her honesty and integrity.

So you're going for the eternal life thingy hey. Could you give me a day to day run-down of how that might work for you.
Just the first million years will do, I don't want you to bore me.
If you think you are buying the ultimate lottery ticket surely you can give me a good idea of what you will win.
And who wants to live an eternal life anyway. I mean going to heaven would take away the two things Christians love the most, accumulating wealth and telling others what to believe in.
What are you going to do, sit around in a room patting each other on the back and complimenting each other.
"Wow Mary your hair looks beautiful today." "Thanks John but you have told me that for the last 17 thousand years."
There is nothing spiritual about you little lamb. Your just a product of circumstance.
Honestly, the passing of Bob McGrath hit me hard. He was a part of my childhood and my kids childhoods. RIP all.
@@busterzigler7530 Loretta Long who played "Susan Robinson" is still alive,...she was a cast member from 1969 till 2016.
Bob was my favorite actor on Sesame Street as a child. Amazing when I heard his name I remembered his beautiful smile and being such a wonderful teacher.
As a child of the early 60’s I remember Bob from, Sesame Street. He always came across as a warm caring individual that genuinely liked what he was doing, and who he was doing the show for. Praying his family will feel the love from so many of us, whose lives he touched through his character on Sesame Street.
When my husband told me about Bob McGrath passing away, I got so sad. Sesame Street was a huge part of my childhood, even as a pre-teen, if I was sick and not at school, I'd watch SS as a comfort thing. I can still hear Bob singing, "Who are the people in your neighborhood?" Rest in piece to all.
I am heartbroken Kristie ally passed away. I remember cliff emmich in 1981 Halloween 2 as security guard hospital. Rest in peace 🕊️ 😢
Reading a lot of these comments about Bob McGrath passing, we all had the same feelings for him. As a 1st generation Sesame Street viewer and a parent of one in the 90s, he was a big part of our early learning years. He surely will be missed.
I grew up watching Seasame Street, and Bob McGrath was one of my favorite people on the show. Kirstie Alley was also one of my favorite actress, I loved her in look who's talking. They will all be missed.
I never really watched "Little House on The Prairie" but the episode Cliff was in I will always remember because I thought it was so sad. He played the father of a girl who was embarrassed of him for being overweight. It's probably the saddest thing an 8 year old could see on TV at the time.
I remember that episode well. He worked at the Blind School with Mary and Adam. It was truly heartbreaking!
He didn't want his daughter to be made fun of and his wife didn't want him around anymore., so he moved into the blind school on the Little House episode. The kids called him Big John, the one's that made fun of him. It is a very sad episode, especially near the end.
Cliff Emmich also displayed a gift for Comedy when he guested as the mastermind of a counterfeiting ring that vexed "The Fonz" and Crew on "Happy Days." R.I.P. Sir.🤔💸📺B.W.
I love Bob McGrath. My favourite character on Sesame Street. RIP Bob. You'll be missed. Thanks for the wonderful memories
I'm so shocked Kirstie Alley is gone. I was a long-time fan. I loved her. Summer School, Loverboy, the Look Who's Talking trio, and one of my favorite TV shows, Cheers. She is the third celebrity to be taken by colon cancer in the last three years behind actor Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther 2018), actress Natalie Desselle-Reid (Madeas Big Happy Family 2011). Like Chad, I never knew Kristie was sick. She will be missed. RIP 😔.
@@barbarawilson9565 She was awesome - & seemed so down to earth, not stuffy or impressed with herself. WE LOVE YOU KIRSTIE❤💜🧡💛💚
Summer School! I remember seeing that in the theater, classic! she did It Takes Two as well as the other obvious ones, my grandmother liked that movie and those twins, I must have seen it a dozen times visiting her in the 90s along with The Sound of Music and a Tree Grows In Brooklyn lol. The good old days.
@@onceuponatimeintoronto891 I never heard of a Tree Grows in Brooklyn. However I might have seen it without knowing the titles. I know all the songs from the Sound Of Music because I learned them as a kid in music class. We still had music classes back then. I have Disney plus. Most of the classics I have seen as a kid back in the 80s. But never the Sound Of Music. I saw It Takes Two with the Olsen Twins and Police Academy's Steve Guttenberg. On cable TV, back in the 90s. Thanks for reminding me how old I am.😂
The passing of Bob McGrath is so sad to me. My baby was just 6 months old when I put her in front of the TV so I could fix supper. Bob was there every afternoon. Rest in peace, dear sir ❤️
What a surreal life Bob had, a lot of his showbiz companions never aged , just him.
Rest in peace to everyone, especially judge Mills Lane. I always loved watching him on boxing + his tv show.
Thank you for your beautiful tributes & half-staff memorials. I love your site. You always go into deep detail about each & every life. May they all RIP. Lifting prayers & condolences for all their loved ones.

It's also been 39 years ago yesterday when Slim Pickens passed away. R.I.P. to all in the video.
I loved Slim. He could bring the spotlight to any role, including cameos such as the sailor in In Harm’s Way and of course his iconic role in Dr. Strangelove. No one will ever forget that ride.
Mills lane! I am sorry to hear he passed but he did have a long life. I knew he looked familiar from boxing and I didn't realize he had a judge show too.
One of the classiest refs in boxing history. He was always the one in charge in the ring.

What does The People's Court or Judge Judy have to do with the deceased individuals in this video?
Marty Robbins had one of the most beautiful voices and was a superb ballad singer. No one in the singing business today could see any of the wonderful songs he made famous. He was a miracle. it was amazing to hear him in Guardians of the Galaxy 2.
I grew up watching TV and movies (including "Look Who's Talking") with Kirstie Alley in them. She will be missed. LLAP
I was born in '65, I actually remember on a Tuesday arriving home from school and changing the 3 channels we got on tv and hitting a show with these crazy puppets, and a 7' yellow bird, and cartoons! I was immediately hooked. Sesame Street has always held a special place in my heart and Bob McGrath was there, smiling and singing the whole time. Who didn't love the guy? Rest in Peace, everyone, and thank you for all you gave to the world!
Bob McGrath had a long and well-lived time on earth. Thank you for teaching us all, Bob. Generations of kids were better for having had you around. 🥰
I loved Kirstie Alley in "Wrath of Khan"! She was the only person who could play Saavik, as far I'm concerned.
Mills lane was also a judge and had his own show for a while the people’s court it was one of the biggest shows of its era
R.I.P Bob McGrath, you are dearly loved by my generation. ❤️❤️
Aw! Tom McGrath was awesome!
😭 Kirstie Alley! I always liked her, no matter what role she was in!
I felt personally outraged whenever people would attack her for her weight because she was beautiful no matter how much she weighed. She was ALWAYS so beautiful!
Bob McGrath truly is a legend. I watched Sesame Street on Armed Forces TV when I was little to learn English. The show made me smile even though I virtually understood nothing! So sad to see this gentle man pass on. RIP! ❣️❣️❣️
Mills Lane and Kristie Alley we're a shocker to me, I didn't know they pass until now

Rest in peace Ursula! There is, and never will be, another wrestling outfit like GLOW! Everyone one of you ladies had REAL character and a passion for entertainment. Girls of GLOW didn't have to make their "assets" center stage like the women of wrestling today. Your real personalities and dedication to entertainment is what made it sell! Mt, Fiji, Dementia, Little Egypt, The Housewives, Suzie Spirit, Americana, and so many more! You are missed!
Some of the ladies from GLOW did wrestle for other organizations. Example, Lisa Moretti (Tina Ferrari) spent some time in WWE as Ivory (1999-2006) The ladies of GLOW made their in ring work and their character work center stage and didn't have to use their "assets" like many of the women of today do.
Ursula was a fab human💗 Always loved her character when I was a kid-and we’d all get freaked out when she’d have to wrestle the big gals like Matilda or Mt Fuji, thinking they’d crush her. All those ladies were so hard working and amazing performers. Godspeed Ursula💗💐
@@deniseherud Matilda the Hun! Another legend! Yeah Ursula looked like a fragile barbie doll in the ring 😄 I believe she became part owner at some point. Remember how they all had their own little rap jam too? They were all special women and hard working like you said.
Aww,.. So sad about Kirstie Alley. She played such a passionate role as Virgilia in North and South. Love that serie.
Rest in peace guys, and thank you for sharing your talent with us. It brought a smile to our faces, lifted our hearts and touched many lives. You will not be forgotten.
Kirstie Alley was great in a lot of lesser known TV movies earlier in her career like Highway Honeys, Sins of the Past, and Bunnys tale. I watched Cheers once she replaced Long as was not really a fan before that. She was also great in richer or poorer with Tim Allen and Sibling Rivalry. I hope the kids find homes for all those animals she had unless they take on the responsibility themselves. RIP!
I Google'd Mills Lane a month or so ago to see if he's still alive. I saw an old episode of MTV's Celebrity Death Match and got nostalgic. Aw, RIP to him.

Happy Heavenly Birthday to Aaron Carter, who was born 35 years ago on December 7th,1987!!

Aaron Carter was a drug addict, and people who do drugs don't go to heaven...just because he was famous didn't automatically get him into heaven..
Aline, I hadn't heard about that. I have some old issues of Weirdo that she edited. 80's underground comix were a lot of fun, and she had a brutally honest and funny way of storytelling.

Thank you for mentioning Mills Lane. In his early life he was a pro boxer and then served as DA and district judge in my hometown of Reno, NV before moving on to boxing refereeing and Tv judge. He was an immensely admired figurehead of my childhood.
I have to keep remembering the song "Everything must change, nothing stays the same" because it sad to see another Sesame Street veteran of the show is no longer with us, this was a show that I watch every weekday after school, and it was hard for me when Mr Hooper died because it was like the end of my childhood because I officially turn 21 that year. Goodbye Bob, you were l loved and respected and you had a large influence on so many of us. While many may not be familiar with the name Aline Kaminsky-Crumb outside of France, her husband, "R.Crumb" was a cartoon legend. If you've ever spotted huge mudflaps on the backs of 18 wheelers that feature "Yosemite Sam" and the words, 'keep on truckin' ' " , that's R. Crumb's iconic work. He also animated the hilarious "Fritz the Cat". He left the US and moved to France to continue his work with his now deceased wife Aline. What a career.
I developed a crush on Bob when he was the youngest member on Sing a long with Mitch when Mitch Miller had a tv show....beautiful voice.
Judge Mills Lane. "Let's Get It On ! " Stood for what was right, and didn't take no mess; Boxing referee, and the man who would look Iron Mike Tyson in the eye and say, "Go To Your Corner",and without hesitation, Iron Mike, went to his corner. RIP, Mills Lane
Not too many boxing fans on yet, as soon as I saw his bald head in the picture I was like Mills Lane! He was a good ref, made a few mistakes here and there but stood up for no nonsense and demanded respect of each person in the ring with him. Guess it makes sense he was a Marine. I didn't know that but it is obvious looking back at the way he composed himself and that growling voice lol., the good old days of HBO and Showtime boxing on Sat nights, simpler times.
Lane was the epitome of "Tough but Fair". Whether or not he liked you or what he might think of you, he would look at the case and the law and decide from that.
@@onceuponatimeintoronto891 *Well said. "Simpler times." Simpler times, indeed sir.*
