Of course being a Pilot is a really cool job and many would kill for it, but it also happens to be one of the very very expensive courses and add to that the uncertainty of the market and jobs, that this career option is also VERY RISKY !
It is this very reason that I have been asked 'n' number of times by young aspirant pilots and their parents time and time again, as to whether it is the right time to step in this field and start off the Pilot Training and career.

I plan to start my training in Europe soon, but my parents worry because of the secured loan and job scenario. Also, being an expat might make it slightly challenging (work permit, PR, etc.).
What's your take on this?
Even highly experienced lost their jobs from emirates etc.... for now and situations like these... staying bak in india is better.... unless u can get a PR

You have to give NIOS physics exam if you have maths in commerce but if you don’t have maths than you have to give physics and maths exam.
Than you will be given a certificate with your physics and maths marks which will make you eligible for Pilot training
But bro maths has to be from science stream right
Even if u have maths in your commerce stream it has to be from science stream basically u have to give maths and physics both

Sir, many articles say that even after the airline industry in india recover, the pilots who lost their job due to the pandemic gets recruited again...as those pilots are way experienced than freshers...what would say about this ?
Very few pilots were laid off from Indian market (they too were not experienced at all so they are same as a fresher)
Every pilot of SpiceJet will want to go to Indigo now. Indigo has 800+ jfo and cadets waiting to join. So more wait.

@@dhairya079 well yeah to get a degree it appropriately takes 3-4 years. Instead if you do your training and get job right away, you will be having atleast 500-600 hours of flying experience in the same time (3-4 years)... Some still wanted to get graduate atleast for name sake or as a backup incase of a hurdle...

No no... not at all, please rest assured that unless you hit 32 (actually in MOST cases 35) your AGE will ot be an issue, as ong as their is a vacancy and market situation is good... dont worry about age till 32 atleast

If you don't have maths and physics which are compulsory, you must give them from open school (NIOS) before you can apply for the pilot training. After you have completed maths and physics you can become a commercial pilot.

Yes you can get a CPL... but mkst airlines have a cap of 30 yrs or 35 yrs max for hiring, so keep that in head... all the best

Bro, i just entered 12th. I'm 16 now and will be 17 when i finish 12th. I'm planning to opt for the Indigo Cadet program CAE DOMESTIC PATHWAY @NFTIGONDIA. SO bascially i want to know if you think i should go for it. It's always been my dream to be a pilot. I need to be 18 to apply. But when I get 12th results I’ll only be 17. So I’ll have to wait another 10 months to become 18 to apply
So what i was thinking is , why waste the 10 months. I can just join a degree program itself. And then when i turn 18 (during first year end i guess) I’ll apply. And if i get in I’ll drop out of college. But if I don’t, the 10 months wouldn’t have been waste. And I’ll just carry on with my degree i guess. Do you think this is a good plan? degree is just a backup incase i wont get selected, which i hope i will get selected:) And one more thing, ill basically finish 12th in 2022 but apply in 2023 march ( since i will turn 18 on March 3). DO you think Aviation industry will bounce back by then and would have recovered? and is the indigo cpp worth that time? I'll basically take loan on collateral for around 50-65% of the finance...

Government is extending minimum qualification to graduation for cpl licence .
It's not yet confirmed. But, DGCA is quite slow. If you are in 10,11,12. No worries.
It took DGCA more than 2.5 years for decision on MPL (multi crew pilot licence) but still desison not taken yet. So, I don't think this will happen in near future.

In srilanka we need degree but type rating on a320 is given free by the national carrier Srilankan airlines😁as students are not that much most of them fall to job.....
