In your opinion if you could only buy one. The S1 (20w + IR), P2, F1 or F1 Ultra which do you feel would help kickstart a business better to offer more options for your clients? I know eventually I probably need them all but I also don’t earn 6 figures. 😅
In order for me to give you the best answer ever, what do YOU plan on making with your laser? Give me a run down of what you are interested in making. Once I understand what you plan on using your machine for, I'll be able to hone in what machine you should buy.
@@ashleefalco I feel like engraving would be a good starting option as it would be the easiest to get my foot in the door with clients. I show up to your place of work with your logo on a hat, pen, patch etc and let the work sell itself. Then I later look into cutting… so maybe I just answered my own question lol. The F1 series would probably be the best option for things like that then. But do I spend the $4000 on the Ultra now or try out the $1500 F1 and see if it’s capable of kickstarting a business with its tiny build volume. 🤦🏽♂️😂😅🤔
@@TheExtremeElementz I don't have the F1 ultra to compare it to. But what I can tell you is I LOVE my F1! Sure you'll have a smaller bed size than the Ultra but it's still mighty!
I feel the reason why the little one is faster engraving is because the machine is scanning the real estate size smaller conveyer shorter time even though we are pin pointing where our substrate is located I feel the size of the area is somehow getting scanned during this process.
Ok, F1 has live framing. You don’t have to stop, move and frame again any longer. The reason F1 is faster is because it’s a Galvo laser as opposed to a gantry on the S1.
I am confused by the title of your video. Surely it's a comparison of the metal engraving features of these two machines. I was looking for a more concise comparison - that is a comparison of the engraving capabilities and cutting capabilities of the two. I am not sure your review is accurate - it would be foolish to attempt to engrave such a small item on the honeycomb bed. Why not use a different surface that raises the bed up higher, any metal would do it, so the focussing is more precise and as someone else suggests, use the polygon marking feature. That said for something so small the F1 is clearly a better laser. Sorry, but this is not a helpful video at all.
Which Xtool machine is your favorite?
On the F1, I always use the arrow keys to fine tune the blue rectangle location when framing.
yesss!!! I love this tip!
@@ashleefalcoThanks for the great video. I appreciate you!
If you use the Polygon framing on the S1 and mark 3 of the 4 corners you will get a more accurate framing
ooooh! Great tip!
Thanks for the video. I have the P2
Good choice!
I have the s1 and love it.
the S1 is growing on my but I love the cuteness of the F1

@@ashleefalco Thank you! Maybe an F1 + S1 combo. 😂😅🤓 Have a great day!

Now that I've updated the firmware on it, I do have live framing and it's AMAZING!
Love your videos
🥹 THANK YOU!!!
Do you like the p2 more than both f1 and s1?
I do! I use the f1 for when I want to do metal engravings and love it for that. But the machine I gravitate to is the P2.
