  • This was during Pole Day and right before he took it out on the track to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first 150MPH lap at Indianapolis. He won the pole that year with a speed of 150.37MPH

Thanks! That;s pretty neat that you were a part of it even if it was just the fire extinguisher lol. The cars from that era sound so cool. I've seen plenty of videos of them, but I can only imagine what 33 cars roaring around the track sounded like in person. The engines today sound alright, but are nothing compared to back then. Then on top of that you had guys like Aj, Mario, Al just to name a few. I'm only 16, so I wasn't lucky enough to see any of them race.

Thanks so much for this video. Great job! That is me in the background with the red hat on. Standing next to Parnelli Jones and Eddie Cheever. I helped push the car out of the Pagoda, and, was in charge of the fire extinguisher in case it caught fire.

The new 2013 MKZ was designed in America at Lincoln's Dearborn (Mich.) design studio. I believe that UA-camr was simply proud Lincoln is an American company and that vehicle had Michigan plates. It would be nice if all Lincoln's and Ford's were actually assembled on U.S.soil. *There recently was an article in the Washington Post saying the New '13 MKZ will be built at Ford's Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit ,but, my guess is it will be built in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico like the 2012.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Also, the Conner Avenue assembly belongs to Chrysler, so they got their facts mixed up anyway.
