Hate to break it to you man. We’re all gonna die
I think Gina makes some great points about Mark's decision to fight. But I feel he made the right decision. I think for him, if he starts backing down now, he may never stop. This is the path he chose to walk. Standing alone (if he has to) to defend Earth from Viltrumite tyranny.
He learns and gets a lil stronger after every fight with them as well. He was in much better shape after this fight then on Thraxa or when he fought his father. Ultimately, he got more time anyways so he gets to keep his pride and still work on a gameplan.
Bulletproof describing the team was funny as 😂 I thought he’d be like “we have a little boy in a suit, a girl who’s a monster…etc” but he went in 😂
Anissa is more than terrifying, trust me

Why is she acting like Mark saying yes magically fixes their problems?
Cecil actually smiles. I think he is impressed by Mark's commitment.
She said earlier in the scene Viltrimites don't kill for no reason and that they don't want to see Human deaths as well as preaching how they would save them. I think Mark def made a gamble but it was moreso based on evidence she gave and her not outright being evil but a zealot just like his dad was before they fought.
I love this plot idea, @12:38, but if you've never watched the remake of "V" or the mini series "Childhood's End," which was an Arthur C. Clarke book, treat yourself. They basically do the "here's a taste of what we can do" in both.

Other than the Boys I don’t think any other show truly gets across the fear of being a normal person in a universe of people with superpowers.
I took Mark saying “it’s more than just words” as him knowing the Viltrumite takeover will be a brutal bloody one, as compared to just a conversation
I think Mark standing his ground, proved to Cecil that he is undeniably a GOOD guy. Annisa's visit was a test for Mark that further proved his allegiance towards earth.
Even if it was kinda dumb to forego strategy over the lives of people, this cemented Mark as a true hero that didn't forsake his pride.
Also I think Annisa was being reasonable here, and her killing people to prove a point would stomp on any chances of Mark even considering joining the Viltrumites. And like she said, future Viltrumites who'll visit won't be as reasonable.
Narratively speaking, it is more interesting to see Mark completely go against Viltrumite sentiment and subsequently formulate plans to fight them altogether, rather than lying to save his life, which would've been the easier path, at the cost of his pride(although he's lucky he's the only one who suffered for rejecting her). We've seen how Nolan's lies destroyed his and many people's lives, so he has a strong reason to be against any Viltrumite sentiment no matter what, and this steadfastness to this path is the biggest factor in him being able to fight the Viltrumites.

Good Times will be watched by many of us who grew up in the ghetto, had light bills in our names at 8, wore hand me downs, waited in line with our moms for bricks of cheese, had fans in the window for air-conditioning, ate free lunch at school, only went to the doctors for life threating injuries, could only have one friend in the house at a time, carried a big radio & knew that when the street lights came on yo ass had better be in that house. Good Times is one of our iconic shows, and I know a bunch of people talking about it already. Does that make it a hit? No, but people are talking about it.

I think Jay, Gina & Brandon might be my newest favourite NR team, energy is always spot on! Just wanted to thank you all for continuing to put out all this content. From my early days of watching Erik, Jess, Tommy & A Trae being my core 4! Whilst some people are very much missed it’s nice to know they’re still out there eating up other opportunities and all the people that have passed through NR since then, thank you all!
I just can't stop thinking about how the serie won't get a bunch a great characters from the comics... It wasn't that much of a deal in the first season, but anything going forward without any Techjacket, Brit, all the guarding the Globe storylines... it's just sad :(

Anissa isn’t even close to Nolan’s strength or speed. The reason they showed her being that strong was so we can realize how strong Allen is now, but once Anissa grapes Mark after that point mark makes it a point to be “even stronger than his father” who is the second strongest viltrumite after Thragg.
I think its like a saiyans pride type of thing he cant lie about it because it would take his pride away he would rather fight and die then bend the knee
Its this unbuckling attitude towards never giving in to Viltrumites that is the biggest factor Mark has in beating them, if he conceded, it would only prove that Mark still doesn't have it to even think of challenging the viltrumites

24:47 I have to disagree. Mark was indeed selfish. He knew ahead of time that he couldn’t fight her head to head and put his morals infront instead of whats important for earth. He couldn’t fight normal earth creatures without help. HE KNOWS THIS. but now put everyone he loves at risk cause of how impulsive he is instead of accepting to take over and studying and training to defeat the viltrimites😐
