@@slippy9251 probably to practice when you're in that position. Less likely to choke when you're playing on a tournament or something
@@slippy9251 they do it to get more game time. if your combo is gonna kill but you drop it on purpose you can keep practicing neutral with you and your friend, youre just gonna restart the game anyways might as well get more ingame time

not even on my best day and them on there worse day would i remotely stand a chance. these pro's are just built different. I remember used to think if i "work/train hard enough i would be able to win Evo or at least make top 8 or something meaningful like that but as life went on and i didn't have as much time to train or even play because of work and being a parent i realized how delusional i was. just simple stuff like there movement not even the combos are impressive to me. its true some people are just built different and its ok. i can still appreciate greatness even though I am not a top/mid tier player. keep grinding.

It's a thing Wawa (and other French players from what I've heard) does where he'll intentionally not kill so the opponent gets one last chance.
Afaik, they only do this with each other, I guess for fun and training for when you're in sudden death mode.
To add to what the guy above just said they also do it to practice opening their opponent up and develop their neutral game

Also you are pretty wrong if you think that just because its an online tournament they don't play or take those seriously. They are playing for big prices there, patrocined by Red Bull, so is not an amateur tournament like HoC, NLBC, TampaNeverSleeps, GGOSAMA's tournaments or other ones.
