I've been spending the past hour trying to figure out which free waves plugin I want with my next purchase. Same old, same old. Compressors, reverbs, etc... I think I just found my plugin!!! 😎

Just bought this after demoing it despite the fact the GUI is too big vertically and cuts off at the snapshot sequencer. That's how good it sounds. But using it in Reaper and Waveform 9 I don't understand why it's so long vertically I never had this problem before with anything honestly lol.

I'm having an issue with playing this VST like a typical piano, with a sustain pedal. If I press the sustain then press a note, I cannot press that note again, even though I set the polyphony to 32. I don't know any other polyphonic synth that has this behavior. It doesn't feel natural.

I love FM but new to Flow Motion. This is brilliant! I’ve used DeXEd, FM8, EFM1, Arturia DX7 V which are all true to the trend set by Yamaha back in ‘83 - but I was looking for something more, but not to stray far from core FM sounds. Unfortunately, my love of FM synthesis might be the minority. With ‘do everything’ synths like Pigments, Alchemy and Omni-Sphere which do analog, wavetable, granular AND FM, I fear the future of Flow Motion might be limited. 😢
That studio though!!! We'd love to come out and play with some synths Waves!

Learn FM Synth then. You can start with Dexed. It's best from free ones.

the synth looks a bit ugly.. weird GUI. Doesn't look intuitive. Not that any FM does otherwise tbh.

It's a great synth, but custom LFO shapes are missing!

Sounds nice but on Ableton 10 on a 2018 i7 6 core Mac Mini it glitches on many patches and regularly takes up 40%+ on one patch. Not even heavy stuff like Repro and Roland Cloud get near that. I’m sure that’s not right, FM isn’t that CPU heavy.
Check the Unison and Polyphony they're the biggest culprits of the extra CPU but this thing can be extremely CPU hungry but it sounds like it should be many of the patches remind me of stuff I only hear from Reaktor. My biggest gripe is the GUI is too big vertically I can't see the snapshot sequencer, but even so you can buy it now for $24.50 on sale and it's a no brainer.
Mac mini has no active cooling does it? So it’s probably not going to boost speeds at all, just like the issue with the i9 MacBooks. Which is why I switched to PC gaming laptops and customized the cooling myself, to get the full power of the chip.
mac minis do have auto cooling (mine is a server 2011) i can hear the cooling when boosts, flow synth runs like a dream

With this plugin, what keyboard can I get that will work with it for enjoyment purposes, meaning low priced. Not making albums here . . . yet :)
Akai MPK Mini MK3, Arturia Keystep, Novation Launchkey Mini MK2...Any of those would do nicely on a budget

Richard, you are far too chill for the ATL... (you must never need to hit I-75 much :) ) I may buy Flowmotion just for that last patch in the intro--no matter how simple in FM. Great to see a fellow blinky-lights guy...your studio looks too much like Time Tunnel not to admire it! Great demo--health and prosperity to you.

I love the plugin, just bought it yesterday. i have a little issue with the plugin. When i try to load a patch/preset, i get the same sound again, maybe just a tad different. All seems really similar, It seems to have a problem with loading the preset for me . any idea what i might've done wrong? It finds all presets that come with it but when i click through them just a tiny amount actually change the sound a little

@@Hachmusic94 Actually it was easy as I remember. I reinstalled FlowMotion. After installation you have to restart your computer. I think it helped cause now it's working. It was long time ago. If it don't work for you - let me know. Maybe I forgot about something
Can it make smooth transition between snapshots? Like a morphing with custom morph speed?

Yeah the snapshot sequencer is smooth and u can adjust the speed n have it in sync wit daw
get someone like space laces, virtual riot, seamless etc who can show the true potential of fm

Be ware that the Flow Motion FM Synth will not install on MacOS (version 10.0.58). You will get a compatibility error that says “Couldn’t be opened.” This is an expensive plug-in you should avoid.
To bad that these sounds wont be used in 99.9836% of today tracks. These type of sound is dead. Face it.

Koca Metallec no sound is dead. Hell synthwave rose in popularity recently and for a while no one cared for 80s music sound.

FM8 is used a lot for dubstep or other aggressive sounds.. this uses the same type of synthesis with a more approachable ui. It sounds like you never played with FM synthesis and don't know what you are talking about.
What that random bell arp he was playing sounds like 99.9836% of the Trap songs that are out, just throw Halftime on it and 808's under it. I guarantee you're hear hear this synth all over the place it's a monster and FM arguably sounds better for mainstream music then Wavetable.
What warp said, ummm there are tracks today that have old synths sounds in them that are hits. Second of all you make the sound yours, the end user don't know that or care, they want to know if the track is hot!
