Hi Armando, I have just graduated from my nursing degree. I would like to say thank you, as a lot of your videos have helped me understand the concepts taught in my science classes throughout the 3 and a half years.
Such an excellent video. Thank you so much for providing such content!
I learnt so much here. Since this video we now have the MitraClip which seems to be where we are headed with minimally invasive procedure. The COAPT results showed that so far this is the becoming the standard treatment
This is so great!!!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills!
Very much impressed with the visual presentation
Excellent video. I just want to let people know, if you have a patient with mitral regurgitation, feel their pulse! It might be a jerky feeling pulse, which is obviously due to some of the blood going into the left atrium rather than the systemic circulation.
So great..Thank you a lot. please keep up the good work.
Thankyou so much for this video, so much of my concepts got cleared.
It's wonderful an experience to listen your lecture on MR.Pl. load next one.
Very Informative! Thank You!
Thank you so much.. Great explanation
I don't think you can do balloon valvuloplasty in regurgitation, Mr Hasudungan. It is a treatment for stenotic valves.
Hey yea good point. I should have double checked this. I got this info from bestpractice so didnt think twice. But you are 100% right, it is not an operation for MR. Thank you for pointing it out!
But we can do intra aortic balloon pump

Thanks so much, such a helpful video!!
Your vedios are really helpful and easily understandable.
simply amazing!!! thank you!
I am 45 years old, half a year ago I was diagnosed with mitral regurgitation with prolapse, I am waiting for surgery right now. This video helped me better understand and what to expect, more precisely what type of surgery and what are all options to "fix" the problem so I can continue to function normally for the rest of my life.
i hope you're going to be fine! may God bless you Sir

@@friend.of.a.friend2762 good luck mate, i am 25 with same gift. i wish lot of luck to your surgeons and you
Good luck and prayers for you. I am going through same thing as well..
@@b-gamer340 Good luck my friend. I was told my mitral valve regurgitation is now severe and I will need surgery as well. I have had two open heart surgeries when I was 4 and 6, now i'm 24 and i'm hoping they can fix it once and for all.
Thank you so much this video help me alot
You are so good. Thanks for this. 😃😊
Awesome. Presentation
Great description
I have mild mitral regurgitation and my cardiologist said not to worry and get check ups every 2-5 years. I've had it for 7 years, stays the same, no symptoms at all and I feel great. She said it's not likely to progress. It still scary. I think about it all the time. This video and others scare me because I feel that it will get worse later on.
Hi my name is Ron from the Philippines. My 13 y/o nephew has mild mitral regurgitation. We just found out last week. The doctor said he needs to undergo surgery. Have you undergone any surgery Ms. Maggie? We would like to get a second opinion just to avoid surgery if there are other ways to treat this one.
Probably best to not watch videos! Trust your doctor - you've done ok so far!
My 10 yr old was diagnosed with this last summer and evidently he was born with it. I still can't figure out how it took 10 years for any of his Drs to hear a heart murmur?? That still has me perplexed. I hope he can go without any issues for life or at least not until well into his adult years. Right now we have to go back annually to have him checked. It is scary when it’s your own child. (Miracle baby at that). Both sides of my husband as well as all sides of my own family have all have had serious heart conditions as well as strokes, heart attacks, heart surgeries galore, some passed away from heart issues, etc. So our family history really did not bless him to be born into a decent genetic or gene pool. I hope you do not have any complications or series issues (at least not until you are well into your elderly years). I was happy to see you have been ok for several years. It gives me a feeling of a 'little less stress' regarding my son's heart.
You take any medication
How are you now? What's your age if you don't mind?
Great explanation,simple tho efficient
Your videos are very helpful. Keep up the great work :)
Great video!
Nice presentation sir I am to much impressed
Perfect job
Perfect, thank you!
Very nice explication
Great Job thanks. 👍
Thank you so much 🥰
i hope you know your are the best
Awesome..but would the balloon not be for a case of stenosis rather than insufficiency due to prolapse ?
Mechanical valve is preferred in young because they can continue to take anticoagulation and compliance is good as compared to old patient not mentioning bleeding risk in old patient.
Outstanding
Thanks alot!!!!
Geat efforts ❤
Thanks
Can we have a video about Aortic Regurgitation ??
My son has a pansystolic murmur and the hospital aren't even bothered about getting his heart scanned even though he's out of breath now and always tired. Had to go back to our doctor and now they are referring him to a hospital that will do an echocardiogram on him to see what's causing this murmur.
Salamat
thankyou !
thanks armando. 🙂

Thank you for the video! I have a question, Why use ballon valvuloplasty here to dilate the valve when it is already dilated?
Oups, you forgot to mention the open heart-operation where they change the valve with a mechanical or animal one :P Great video as always ;)
He does mention it! Minute 8:30 ;)
I was diagnosed with typhoid and prescribed to take cypro. When using cypro I was feeling the heart beat fast, after completing the dosage of five days(taking two per day) then after few days passed I start feeling irregular and period of heart dropping/pumping abnormal for seconds. This happens so many times in a day..
I think I've this problem!
Lord have mercy on me
Don't Google ur symptoms, just go to doctor and find the cause and solutions. By checking ur symptoms on Google or UA-cam u will get stress, which in turn can affect ur health.
GReat lesson sir.. Thank u so much😊
Aortic regurgitation please do vidéo about it

good sir
When my grandma died her body was convulsing, filled with fluid and she was spewing it up like an endless stream out of her mouth, the liquid color went from black to blood red to yellow to clear, what is this called? The convulsing while spewing liquid?
Great 😊
This is only a temporary solution? If you do the surgery how long until you have another one?
Sir do you have a lecture for mitral stenosis
Artist and genius👌also thank u
If you have mild regurgitation in your mitral and tricuspid is that ok
I choke, when eating rice or anything to thick swollen food, why is that?
70% of Mitral Valve Regurgitation is clinically insignificant and non symptomatic in most cases and no treatment is reguired! This comes from a Board Certified Cardiologist and you can also look it up on the Internets!
Yes my sister's echo cardiogram showed more than mild mitral regurgitation and angio showed no blocks cardiologist didn't give any medicine or suggested any treatment. Very scary
@saraswathiramiah3623 I m very upset my mom mild regurgitation just palpitations what to do
hello. when does the mitral regurgitation happens during diastolic or systole?
systole, the blood is supposed to be ejected to the aorta but since the mitral valve isn't totally closed a portion of that blood goes backwards to the left ventricle ( i hope i explained it in a clear way )
MITRAL VALVE: the leaflets are significantly thickened with mildly restricted excursion. the calculated valve area is 3.6cm2. Peak velocity across the valve is 1.28m/s with a max and mean gradient of 7/2mmHG. Can this valve be repaired? I nearly died of pulmonary edema last year?
How r u bro
@@ravit7084 I am ok. I have read they now just replace the whole mitral valve instead of fixing the old one. when I take the right water pill at the right dose, I am ok. How kind of you to ask.
@@dennislurvey3235 I had mild Mr

Why Balloon Dilatation In MR ?
👏
please can anyone explain me..y der is a soft s1 in mr ??thanks in advance ..
Vishal King
S1 is produced due to mitral valve closure. In MR, mitral valve don't close properly so S1 is softer.
Nilesh Gokhe ...Thank u fr ur help
Thanks for the video again, just a little correction: *RegurGitation. :)
