CAMPANAR, Valencia | An OASIS of CALM | WALKING Tour

Welcome to beautiful Campanar, a neighborhood of the city of Valencia, belonging to the Campanar district. The neighborhood is located in the northwest of the city, being the historic center of the Campanar district. It limits to the north with Benicalap, to the east with El Calvari and Les Tendetes, to the south with El Botànic and La Petxina, and to the west with Sant Pau. It was in an independent municipality between 1836 and 1897 when it was again annexed to Valencia.
In this short walk we are showing you the oldest part of Campanar, starting at Plaça de Badajoz, following Carrer del Gravador Enguídanos, Carrer del Dragamines, Carrer del Baró de Barxeta and arriving at Plaça de l'Església. Here you will find Church of Our Lady of Mercy (Església Nostra Senyora de la Misericòrdia), and its Virgin of Bell Tower from 1596.
We will continue our walk through Carrer de Benidorm, Carrer de Benifaió, Carrer d'Aparicio Albiñana, all the way to Avenida del General Avilés.
