Your tips and Amazon Travel Picks were so helpful! Just came back from my 1 year olds first trip/flight and it went great! So glad I stumbled upon your channel.
It does also help that there was someone else to help with the luggage hahahha i am happy i got to experience the responsibility of having a young toddler who couldn't walk far and all the luggage and still feeding whilst being sick lost my voice too. I think overall the experience she had and the Montessori approach with the empathising the preparation of the environment i guess to whatever extent with the activities and the snacks it helped so much. I can't imagine what i would have done otherwise tbh. Lots of practical tips here which i am keeping in mind for any future trips too.
Oh my gosh I thought of you multiple times throughout the trip honestly and how much work it must've been for you! Even though we all had a successful trip and Stella enjoyed, we were certainly exhausted getting everything organized and going. As 2 adults and 1 fully walking toddler. But in your shoes it's honestly remarkable 🫶 And yes, something I ended up cutting out of the video to save time is the fact that having a chance to explore boredom was really a huge help for us! Not only is she quite capable of problem solving and being independent even in a new environment with all the Montessori home "prep work" so to say, but she's also used to concentrating uninterrupted for longer periods of time and finding new ways to use existing activities! So being delayed with few items out, or being on the plane with a couple other activities wasn't a challenge for her. She find new ways to use each of them and keep herself occupied 🥲
There's a couple options, so I had that linked in the travel section of the storefront! We got the smaller one but probably should've opted for the larger size 😅 a.co/48QI4Sx
Awhh this is reminding me of our experience. I love how much difference half a year makes in the way they intereact with the environment and the activities. I know now if we travel it would look more like this. But maybe once there is an infant on my chest too lol. I am saving this video Also so happy to see Stella enjoyed the trip. You did well and good job eveyone wasn't ill either.
Thank you! Honestly cannot imagine adding a second little human into the mix with the travel 😅 We learned a lot this time but it does sometimes feel like an out of body experience! We have some more travels planned and I'm hoping they get easier with time!
Great ideas! Noise is something I didn't' think about, but my kids are very sensitive to noise as well. We are going a plane trip over spring break, so I will make sure to remember to talk to them about the noise before we go!
She remembered it more than I thought she would but it was definitely helpful since she had started wanting to avoid places she knew were loud like the bathroom at Target 😅 No way to avoid the plane once we were on the plane tho!
Love the tip on snacks to help with ear pressure, not something you’d usually think about
We always do gum as the adults and I was trying to think of what substitute we could have for her!

Thanks for the video! Do you mind linking the rolling toddler bag/suitcase?
