I love your traditional, authentic Chinese pieces the best. I enjoy them a lot more than the contemporary or pop covers you occasionally do with Chinese instruments.
I cant read the song title but this sounds very similar to 'Without Ulterior Motives', just with a slightly different arrangement and a different pacing and timing. If its not a version of it theres a lot of similarities. Im not sure who originally wrote 'Without Ulterior Motives' but my favorite version is by Fei Wang. For me its the epitome of what I love about the Guqin. And also Yuan Jung-Ping's version of 'Lament of departed'. Theres no words to describe that masterpiece.
yes, it's similar in style, sparse and with much sliding, but the melody is quite different. I've just learnt to play Ou Lu Wang Ji, and I'm about to learn this one on the guqin.
I wish they would translate the details of the music they play in english. Its beautiful to hear regardless but i feel I’m missing the history and context.

意境很不错，但平仄对仗有所欠缺，推荐买一本王力的《诗词格律》看看，喜欢古体诗就要按格律来写，否则再好的意境都成了打油诗，可惜了

i've not heard Without Ulterior Motives, but this caption states that this was originally composed in 1634, so perhaps it was inspired by this.
