Its likely that that's the kind of voice work they normally use for nomu before distorting the audio with monster effects, and they just didn't add the effects for some reason

People need to stop hating on English Dub it is not Cringe in my opinion. I play the game in dub I don’t care what people say.

Choco _m1l Not caring what other’s say is the definition of being a prick. If you don’t care about other’s opinions then you are just as bad as these so called haters. I hate Dub & like Sub because that’s how Anime has always been most of the time and Japanese people are able to hit better notes than English speakers, that and the lip syncing is terrible with Dub’s. I’ll only accept the Dub from My Hero since it has lot’s of well known voice actors especially Overhaul and All for One who sound fucking beautiful but characters like Tsu trying to imitate the “Ribbit” from the Sub is just awkward because once again English voice actors can’t make the same sounds and make them sound interesting since they were intended for the Sub. One more thing, the Dub changes what is said so it makes sense to English speakers but they way they deliver some lines is just like “Why the hell did they say that when it sounds much more menacing in Sub.” When Dabi says “Well, isn’t that a tragedy, poor little Shoto Todoroki,” it comes off as weird when compared to the sub Dabi says “That’s Sad, Shoto Todoroki,” but the delivery was much more menacing and fitting for Dabi.

It’s totally preferential based. A lot of people enjoy strictly the Japanese voice with subtitles for many reasons and others enjoy hearing anime in their native English language. No such this as a wrong opinion
I like listening and watching the dub because it feels more natural to me with a few exceptions (like tsuyu’s voice in the game specifically, that kinda felt off to me) but I personally like the diaologue from the Japanese and the way they word things, so I usually lean towards subbed but that’s just me

My only complaint is the lines aren’t long enough, like they talk for 2 seconds and then the rest of the animation is in silence. Except for overhaul v1 and toga

I have no problem with people who watch dub and like this stuff, it's all about preference. Dubs clearly make lots of money or they wouldn't keep being made. Unfortunately, especially with a large cast ^^^^, the lack of variation in character voices shows through more often than not during the dubbing process. They really did try tho and that deserves praise.

I’m a fan of MHA dub and sub, but my gripe with the sub in this game is NO. SUBTITLES. OUTSIDE OF STORY. Like, I would love to know what they’re saying since I don’t speak rice.

its Lewis I can understand, but some people might have hearing problems or really bad phones that muffle the voice lines even more. So it’s not that easy

The problem is that the Japanese dub had NO. SUBTITLES. OUTSIDE OF STORY.
I like it, but I agree it's a bit annoying. Mainly because they did it at home, on their phones, and they rushed it.
