So I'm guessing the Trident scoop is useless now? On Injustice you could combo it in and it would flip the opponent to the other side allowing more combos.

certain strings can be canceled by INPUTTING a Special Move SO for Example when he does 22 * Or Triangle Triangle * you can input at the start of the second 2 a special move such as trident rush.
There is another special move similar to the whirl pool one but has no whirl pool. It has a fish that bites the bad guy then spits him out and then a diver gives him hell before he gets knocked back into the match. I did it earlier now I can’t remember what combo it was to make it. -_-‘ do you know what I’m talking about and how to repeat the move?
They say 1234 because its universal instead of having to say which button per console. When you say axyb, or XO Triangle Square, you could be saying the wrong button for the given combo due to the same button being in a different place on the controllers. The fighting game community then adopted the number system which allows you to easily tell the button that needs to be hit in order to do the combo correctly. The X button on PS4 is the bottom button which correlates to the number 3 in the number system, however, the x button on Xbox correlates the number 1. If you don't know what the numbers mean I'll explain it real quick. Hope this helps Xbox - X=1 Y=2 A=3 B=4 PS4 - Square= 1 Triangle= 2 X=3 O=4 TLDR: it's easier to use numbers than to explain controls twice.
I'm a fighting game noob but I think its when you input the ability right before the animation hits. For example: B12 XX DF1 Input DF1 right before the second hit.

For example with Atrocitus I use Back 2 3 as a combo but can cancel the 3 into a downback 2 for a bloodnado if the combo was successful to get a lift on my foe or to catch them if they weren't blocking low. I could also cancel it into back forward 2 for the horizontal blood spit also by doing the move just as 3 hits.
funny considering in regards to street fighter 5, injustice 2 on release has more content and players than street fighter 5 did on release and even in its current version

it is a arena transition, do it with a back 3 on a specific edge on the map. And it is not a diver it is Black Manta.

So in mortal simple language, is interrumpting one move with an other in the middle of the command
