6:57 The strategic choice about when to slide-boost (shown here) or jump-boost over bumps and ramps is one of my favourite things in the Crash Bandicoot kart racers.
Funny how the wonky physics in the game can make what was one of the easiest tracks in NF, a decent challenge

Also fun fact: Velo's im tall again line is missing from the nitro fueled. I wonder why... Given that line always made me laugh. 🤣
Been waiting for this. Never played these as a kid. Only nitro fueled for me into time trials. The community hype, along with the reward was worth it. As a kid, time trials on any game never interested me

You have mastered the speed boost combo that is above 100 combo boosts. That is really impressive Lewis. I would had to train really hard to try to beat all of the Velo time trials in Crash Nitro Kart.
Deep sea driving used to be my favorite track in CNK, yet is my worst track in CTR NF. All because of those damn blades

I think the reason he's gaining speed suddenly is because of the hang time, which is what you used to get ahead.

Yeah these time trials are hard but I believe you can do them. You can also get really good start boosts in this as well but it’s way harder than in NF

I did it on Xbox and retro stadium isn't on there

Hey lewis! Thought you should know that you can get this game running at 60FPS if you play on the ps2 with an American copy. Though, I am aware that the only way for you to play the American version is through emulation and I know you'd rather just play natively. Just thought you oughta know :)
Thank you! Yeah with this game I like playing on the 360 because it's how I played it when I was a kid, and I like how it looks on here. But I do play CTTR emulated on the American version for the frame rate increase
@@WumpaLewis I have the NTSC version on PS2. I wouldn't recommend it; your game seems to be running much smoother than mine

You should practice more your starts, you lose almost 1 sec by not doing it right. Nice job anyway 💪
How do the driving mechanics of this game (e.g. maintaining flame) compare to CTR and CTR NF? Never played this one. Wondering if the boost combo actually matters, if maintaining flame/blue flame are things in this game.

I only failed at crash cove. I was few milliseconds off 🤣

Is velo the fastest character and that's why you use him for trials?
Velo has the highest Speed and Acceleration stats in the entire game. Unless you really want that maximum Turn, this is the best choice
